Does anyone else here that has one of these Airaves have issues connecting to it? I've searched everywhere but no one seems to have this same issue. My Evo just doesn't connect no matter what.
All three lights (not VOIP) on the Airave are on and solid, and my Evo is about 10 feet away from it. It used to connect just fine but not anymore. I've tried turning Airplane mode on and off, restarting the airave, rebooting my entire network. EVERYTHING.
Is your internet connection fast enough? I had issues with not enough speed to support the thing.
It's about 15mbps/2mbps.
It's connecting right now, but it's so random. It will randomly lose and gain connection.

Me and a few other users at sprintusers.com had that issue. I called into airave tech support they put in a ticket, never called me and 1.5 weeks later it's working flawlessly.

Noticed this a few days ago and it's continued to be a problem. When I am connected to 4G LTE, initially the speed is great! But if I leave the phone unattended for a while, eventually I lose the data connection. It still shows 4G at the top, but I can't do much online. For example if I run a speedtest, I get a ping from a server that is normal (40-70ms), but the transfer starts at around 200kb/s and then freezes and errors out. Airplane mode sometimes fixes this, but usually I have to reboot the phone. Anybody else notice this problem? I searched and found a few things relevant to the LTEvo but nothing for us. FWIW I am rooted.
First of all, I did a search and found a few related things, but not this. So....here we go:
Stock phone. 4.1.1 and LJ7. Just started yesterday. Makes no difference if it's on wi-fi, or the regular "radio", I'm having an intermittent connectivity issue. Started when I was connected to our business wireless router. I was connected to the router...saw the IP address...but nothing beyond that. So I figured our internet connection was down. Nope.
Shut off wi-fi on the phone and forced wireless network. Solid signal with 3g....semi-solid on 4g...and no internet, no email, no nothing.
Did a few restarts...clearing cache...all browser details....no help. Did a battery pull. Nothing. Eventually, it all came up again, out of the blue.
BTW...I tried things like Facebook to see if it was just a browser problem and there was no connectivity there either.
Anyway, all was well until this morning when the same thing happened. This time at my house. I have Comcast internet so it being down wouldn't be a surprise. Reset the modem. Reset the router. Restarted the phone. Again, connected to the router...but nothing past that. Killed wi-fi again and the wireless networks were solid signal and no connectivity.
Got to the office and did a battery pull with everything else cleared again. Not working. Finally...for no reason at all...it was up again.
I'll take it to my local Sprint repair store, but has anyone else experienced this?
Thanks all.
And once again the problem has returned.
At first I wondered if it was a Google connection issue. Both connections would go grey. But I couldn't connect to anything. When I turn WiFi off, I'm able to connect to everything again with my mobile connection.
Running Cyanogenmod 10.1.2 on my AT&T GS3. Never had an issue like this before. Any ideas?
Really having trouble with this. Someone suggested WiFi fixer, it worked for all of 30 seconds and then WiFi stopped working again. I can't use my mobile connection for long because AT&T as we all know caps it like crazy.
Edit: Odd thing. An iPhone isn't connecting either. But the wireless computers in the house are. So maybe it's the router? It does appear to be the router. For now I think everyone can just ignore this.
I've posted similar questions with this phone, my old sprint Samsung epic 4g touch and my nexus 7, I did notice that it seems to be kernel dependant, some rom/kernel combinations cause the issue some don't.
Check to see if there is a firmware update for your router
Making the iPhone jealous one user at a time.
I thought at first my router was having issues, but that is not the case. I have confirmed zero router issues by using 3 laptops and 2 other phones (Samsung units) to connect to anything I want.
If I connect using my M8 (Verizon), it connects with no issue but I have no real internet connection. The signal strength is -40 so that is not the issue.
I have tried multiple restarts, multiple networks, and multiple SSID's. I even tried forcing it to 2.4 or 5 Ghz and nothing at all seems to work.
Is this a known issue? I am coming from a long line of Samsung stuff so I am not up to speed on the quirks with HTC stuff. Your assistance is appreciated!

Stock, custom ROM, etc?
This is a stock ROM with weaksauce root and nothing else.
Ok, so I just connected to the wifi at my office and it appears to be working just fine, but it took about 15 minutes form my phone to recognize that the network even existed.
I am pretty sure this phone is just a piece of crap. About 2 hours after my last post it started doing the same thing (at work). I just got home and did a 100% fresh reset of both my router and my phone to eliminate any possible configuration issues and it shows that it is connected on the phone, but the router is not seeing that it is connected... how the hell does that work?

Since you've determined its a piece of crap, sell it and get yourself a iPhone. Why bother trying to get it to work.
When you connect to your router what details does it give in the phone WiFi settings for that connection?
Also which router do you use?
Both my wife and I have pixel 3's, I have the XL and she has the regular. Both were preordered and delivered at the same time, and we are both on AT&T. Since the beginning we have experienced random issues such as the phone dropping mobile data completely even though the signal shows LTE , and having to cycle airplane mode off and then on again to get data back. The other issue is that we both experienced call issues where our end would drop and we could not hear the other party, but they could hear us fine.
I think I may have traced these issues to WiFi causing the problems. When the data drops, I notice that my wifi is on and occurs when I am not connected to wifi (such as an unidentified network) and on LTE, or when I leave a connected WiFi area (like my house) and keep wifi on. We would have to cycle airplane mode to fix this.
For the calls, I had a call drop yesterday and when I looked at the notification bar it showed connected to wifi. I immediately turned off wifi and the call came right back. I thought this was an AT&T wifi calling issue, so I turned off wifi calling. Today, I was at the post office and had to make a call. Soon after connecting, the call dropped. I checked wifi and it showed unidentified network (not connected), so I turned off wifi. The call immediately came back.
So now, wifi is completely useless to my wife and I. Assuming I don't experience any more dropped data or calls, I cant use wifi to ensure good call quality and constant data.
Anyone else experience this? Could this be an RMA issue? Seems weird that it is happening to both phones. Is there a setting we should turn off that could be causing this?
i have a similar problem where if i am on wifi, when i get off wifi my lte or h+ will show bars but have a small x in the bars. i have to cycle airplane mode to get data back after i switch wifi off. i may just make a tasker task to do this.
i had a call from an s9 yesterday where i could hear them but they couldnt hear me. i think i was on wifi. we tried 2-3 times but he couldnt hear me. when i switched to my google voice phone number and called him, he was able to hear me fine.
there is another thread around here about similar issues. i might try to get a new sim card since this one is almost 9 years old.

I may have started that original thread a while ago, but since it was more focused on the data drop thing I created a new thread to help narrow the conversation towards the wifi issue. I went to ATT when I first had the data drop issue and got a brand new sim so it is definitely not that.
