Noticed this a few days ago and it's continued to be a problem. When I am connected to 4G LTE, initially the speed is great! But if I leave the phone unattended for a while, eventually I lose the data connection. It still shows 4G at the top, but I can't do much online. For example if I run a speedtest, I get a ping from a server that is normal (40-70ms), but the transfer starts at around 200kb/s and then freezes and errors out. Airplane mode sometimes fixes this, but usually I have to reboot the phone. Anybody else notice this problem? I searched and found a few things relevant to the LTEvo but nothing for us. FWIW I am rooted.

Does anyone else here that has one of these Airaves have issues connecting to it? I've searched everywhere but no one seems to have this same issue. My Evo just doesn't connect no matter what.
All three lights (not VOIP) on the Airave are on and solid, and my Evo is about 10 feet away from it. It used to connect just fine but not anymore. I've tried turning Airplane mode on and off, restarting the airave, rebooting my entire network. EVERYTHING.
Is your internet connection fast enough? I had issues with not enough speed to support the thing.
It's about 15mbps/2mbps.
It's connecting right now, but it's so random. It will randomly lose and gain connection.

Me and a few other users at sprintusers.com had that issue. I called into airave tech support they put in a ticket, never called me and 1.5 weeks later it's working flawlessly.

Ok, so my issue is different than everyone who is complaining about their 3g speed. My problem is that doing things that require a data connection, opening the facebook app for instance, see to take forever. I don't know why it does because once the 3g (which is actually usually already lit up) and/or upload/dowload arrows light up, it's pretty quick. It just seems like it's taking longer than it used to to actually connect to 3g. Opening web pages is the same thing, it will hang while it finds the 3g signal or whatever and then the progress bar will fly to the end and the page will be loaded. Like I said, fast connection (DFW area, TX) but takes awhile to actually connect. Anyone else experiencing this type of issue or know a workaround?
Bump......
As far as I know [don't quote me on this] but there is no work around. Some phones just take a little longer to actually connect. I toggle mine off/on all the time, and sometimes it takes a minute for it to "connect" but the speeds are not an issue. So I think you just have to be patient.
Hi
I've had a weird issue crop up this morning. When I woke up I checked my phone like I usually do and I had data connection on 3G but when I opened the web browser its showing 'Web page not available' like it does when I have no connection.
Everything was working fine last night. I though maybe it was the cell tower as I had an issue a few weeks ago of terrible connection so waited till I got to work to try again. Same thing. Web pages not coming up. Now my apps seem to have limited access to the data and are half loading things up. I know data is being accessed somewhere as I have 3G Watchdog and I can see the amount of data used increasing yet cant get any of my web browsers to work.
This isn't only limited to 3G as I've just connected to the wifi at work and still have the same issue.
Anyone got any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
Oh and phone is rooted too if that makes any difference and I've not downloaded any new apps in the last couple days or updated any of them either :/
Last week I got a GS3 to replace my dying Inspire. Everything has been working great, and I am using Ariel 2.07, but I have a problem with my data connection. I always show up as being connected to 4G or 4G LTE with at least 3 or four bars, but it seems that my data goes in and out all the time.
For example, I get 30 to 50 megabits down at my house over LTE. I've done tests with Youtube videos, and sometimes they will load and play immediately while at other times they will load for several minutes without starting. The same goes for the Speedtest app. While running speedtests it will often get interrupted in the middle of the test and fail due to "network communication problems." Like I said before, the data seems to be going in and out at random while the number of bars I have and the type of connection displayed stays the same.
I called ATT a few days ago since I was having this problem and they claimed to have reset my phone in their system, but I have been still having problems. I've included a logcat that I had to break into two pieces. I would greatly appreciate it if someone could take a look at them for me or if anyone has any ideas on what could be wrong.
Disregard. I have gotten a replacement and the problem still occurs. It is an issue on AT&T's end.
Ok guys, having a real problem here. Often when I am connected to either 3g or wifi my phone will stop picking up signal suddenly. AIt's almost every time and I will have to disconnect from the network manually and reconnect and it will instantly pick up signal again for a while then it'll repeat. When it suddenly stops it doesn't show on the status bar that I have lost any signal. With 3g its kinda just at a stand still not receiving or uploading and with wifi it just stays the same but I'm still not picking up a signal because by web pages won't load neither will other apps that require network load until I manully disconnect and reconnect. Is anyone else having a problem like this? I don't think it was like this when I firs got my phone a month ago. I'm at a loss. Any help is much appreciated. Oh I'm completely stock btw haven't rooted........(yet) lol

It has happened to me a couple times that I have noticed. I will be streaming music and walking and all of a sudden, nothing.
Even a soft reboot does not help. It will require a full reboot generally to solve the issue. I have not been able to identify the issue specifically. I suspect it might be related to LTE testing in my area.
What's the LTE status in your area?
No lte yet but as I stated earlier it happens on wifi too. It'll still show that the signal is connected but my pages want load at all after it happens and when I try to refresh it'll say that the webpage could not load because there is no network. Only until I manually shut off 3g or wifi in the settings and turn it back on will it pick up signal again but only for about 5 minutes. This has happened in various locations on 3g and wifi and will even happen at home wifi.

I've had this problem too. Sprint replaced my phone and it never happened again.
I think reactivating hands free actually fixed my problem...for now anyway. It's not losing network like it was before. All I did was enter on the phone dial pad ##72786# that'll reactivate. Hope this helps
