Ok I know I've seen some old posts about this. But none really answer the question and they are mainly conflictin reports. Does anyone know if the supposed USB to HDMI cable will output HDMI video from my Captivate?
Thanks

I thought the other thread answered this question very well without any conflicting reports.
There is no cable that works - people have tested and it fails. There has not been anyone claiming to have a USB to HDMI cable that works.
So where is the conflicting report?
Sorry the only post I found with someone sayin it works and another sayin it wont. I guess I'll look better next time.

I remember reading that the evo3d is using a "mhl" port that will charge and be HDMI out at the same time, not the micro USB that the evo has.

Hey XDA..can someone confirm the "t.v. Out" option for galaxy S's? Apparently its only the international models? Will a HDMI via usb cable allow me to link mobile through tv. Ive also read GS's play video through the headphone jack, can rca jacks do the trick? Im lookn to watch my phone movies on the "big screen". Is there an app for this action? Thanxs again. U guys make this easy!

Go on eBay and search USB jig.
Ebay to buy one. Zedomax made a video on how to make one a long time ago. Google his name and USB jig and I'm sure it will pop up.

So you didn't want a video, but you just thanked a person for giving you a link to a page with a video, like it was exactly what you were looking for.
I think you are just covering now. Lol

the link he put had a link to a guide so he show how to get here and this is what i wanted
http://galaxys2root.com/galaxy-s2-hacks/how-to-make-a-usb-jig-for-your-galaxy-s2/
It is easy enough. I tool two 150K ohm resistors and wired together and then soldered to pin 4 and 5 if I remember correctly. I used zedomax's video though it was hard to see what pins for sure. I got a cheap micro usb universal plug that I could easily take apart the case and unsolder the wires. I was able to reuse the cover with the resistors inside. Pretty simple.
No matter how you slice it the info is all over the web for you and anyone esle who wants it. Like the introduction to xda says you are probably not the first person to ask whatever question it is. I am sorry but I have an issue with people taking 10 minutes to set up a post instead of 2 minutes to search on google... Damn even 5 minutes... My bad man I get crazy sometimes but honestly there is more that one way to look crap up
Code:
Usb jig
what is a usb jig
video of usb jig
how to make a usb jig
usb jig for samsung
usb jig for epic touch
usb jig for e4gt
Try these out and I guarantee you one of them will lead you to the promise land... LOL
What is funny is if you would use the load more or next page option in q&a section of our forums its right in there.

I don't know if I'm posting this in the rite thread but I've seen a few HDMI to micro USB cables on eBay & amazon. I'm considering buying one but can anyone tell me if it actually works as I've read on a few places it doesn't have the speed through micro USB to support it.
Thanks.
I think it will not run, i saw some videos on youtube like "Minecraft Phone: Sony Ericsson Xperia Play" if you pay attention will see that the hdmi cable is conected on Xperia a little to left of the original USB port, i think that is an another version of the phone try to see on the gamepad, says Verizon, it can be a prototype.

It doesn´t work.
There is no way to use this phone with HDMI. The ones that people have seen are Dev units only.

Could i have a link that shows which bluetooth dongle works for you?
Sent from my DROID2 GLOBAL using xda app-developers app
So I keep reading, a lot, that otg and dongle work, but then nobody shows how or what brand...
Does it work or are all of these posts saying its works just repeating what they have read?
[I really dont think people should be posting answers in an FAQ if they are just repeating others words]
I have looked and looked and I can not find anything beyond the same reply: "OTG cable and dongle"
If someone can share a link/thread that shows actual success with a Bluetooth dongle and results that would be great!
Thanks!

It doesn't work, there's no driver support in any Kf ROM for any type of Bluetooth dongle.
These posters have all read it doesn't work, they just refuse to believe it.
I have heard that people have claimed success with dongle

I said that the only way it will work is with an otg cable and a Bluetooth dongle. You still do need drivers for it to work.

People are getting confused here, and that's understandable.
Before Bluetooth was around and usable on PCs, you used to be able to buy keyboards with an adapter that would sit in the USB port. They would only work with that specific keyboard and nothing else. They were proprietary and use the standard USB drivers apparently - Which is why the guy who is using the dongle and keyboard in the video is able to do so.
Bluetooth on the other hand is totally different, and while you need the dongle, you also need the drivers. But I think we've come far enough that no one is going to write them.
