Entering Bootloader > How?

Hi all,
Im trying to unlock my m5000 using this; [Hermes] free SIM unlocker by pof
However, im stuck at the first step. I cant enter the bootloader. Do I have to press 'ok' of the keyboard and power button and then push the reset button on back of unit?

Ok, Im on the bit where I copy over HERM_Unlock_v2a. When I run the programme on the phone I get the message ' This utility cannot be used on this device, exiting now'??

You cannot use Hermes Utility on Universal unless the creator says it is ok.
Just Press Reset again. It should work if you have not destroy anything on Universal using Hermes Utility.

Ok now Im confused.
There are loads of posts in the sticky topic about people successfully unlocking there m5000.?? Can the m5000 not be unlocked?

Use the search mode to search for Unlocking Software for "Universal", not "Hermes".
Here, our phone are not SIM Locked.

Ive just caught on to what ive done
Should I flash over any new roms to correct the mistake?

Repair bricked devices (GoldCard)

Hallo, anyone have an ideea about gold card ?
I have an P3300 and i bricked the device (was italian ROM). I don't find the rom, so i take the P3300 to the repair shop. Thei made the repair in about 5 minutes. The repair man told me he used a gold card, in bootloader mode. The ideea is that my devive is unbricked, and since than i write the rom many times, using USPL. But i think the gold card can help many people here, witch bricked their devices, and can't find original ROM

Why don't you ask the guy from the repair shop what it is?

I was asking him, but it is secret, the gui is makeing money with that tool. I started the topic, hopeing somewone knou something, and can help the other.

It will probably be nothing more than a microSD card with the correct image on it.

I don't think so, because after repair my phone was not with italian ROM, but with WWE, and he cannot put 2 sistem so quick. And he mention something about GoldCard. There is such tool for hermes.

Gold Card VS Ita Rom for free...
You have a choice here without g.card Original ITA rom. After that, you can flash with the instruction (how to not brick Artemis) any rom. I save my Ita Artemis on that way.
You have to update rom this only through sd Flash

On my device did not work SD flashing, and on the other hand, it was 4 month ago, and i did not find any ITA ROM. I had a few post at that time, but nobody helped me, now is too late. I am posting this because i want this to be helpful for other people. So, if you know something about gold card, please let us know. Endeed it is a microSD, but where can we find it ?

Hi!
The bootloader is invoked by pressing down the Power and Voicedialer buttons simultaneously, and using the stylus at the same time to press the RESET button at the left side. Continue pressing the two buttons for a few seconds after pressing and releasing the reset button until the bootloader screen appears.

It would appear that perhaps not all SD cards are the same when it comes to SD card flashing. Mine certainly does not work.
Can anyone who has successfully got boot-loader to read their card post the size and make?

Rom-image not working
Hi,
Yes I know but it didn't work, it checked SD card content and nothing appeared. I once had an error with other image, sometimes it doesn't say anything at all like here with this rom.
I think it's because I need an original Dutch WM5 rom to flash back to original.
If anyone has a WM5 dutch?

Dell Axim x51V

Hey Guys,
I have recently bought an Axim x51v and want to upgrade it to WM6, hoever my problem is this, i doenload the chosen new rom which in this case will now be Football's WM6.1 A08 rom, but when i do the restart the bootloader doesent load? so my question is this:
1. Am i doing it correctly - Power + Wifi + Reset button in the back with the stylus then release wifi?
2. If not how is it done,
3. Would i have needed to install the bootloader previously? if so how is this done?
4. Can any of this be done via USB from my PC?
Many thanks for any help on this i am rather anewbie, i previously used an updated rom to update my Orange SPV M3100 (HTC Hermes) which if i remember came with its own PC based flashing utility which made life loads easier.
Any help would be great!

Here is what you need to do:
1. You need to format an SD card with 32bit file system.
2. You copy the image and its .CRC in that SD card.
3. You put the SD card in your Axim.
4. You press simulatanously the WiFi+Power+reset.
5. You let go the stylus from the reset once you see the bootloader message.
6. It will take some time to load then it will ask you press the Action key.(the middle one).
7. It will again take some time to flash your Axim. Do not power off or intrupt the process otherwise you will kill your Axim.
8. After completing the flashing process it will ask to hard reset (i.e reset+Power).
REMEMBER: Flashing your Axim will void your warranty. Think twice if you still have an extended warranty.

Hey thanks for the reply i tried your method however dont get a bootloader message? the screen just stay black , i prob sat for about 10 mins waiting then when i release the buttons it just comes up with the restore factory settings screen?
any ideas?

P.s. not sure if it makes a difference but im still running the default version of WM5 which was shipped with the device, it hasent been previously flashed (to my knowledge).

I believe you dont hold onto the wifi + power + reset all the time. Try holding the wifi + power first, then push reset and let go of it. Wait until the bootloader come up and then release the other 2. Its been a while since I flash so not really sure but I believe thats the way to do it.

Try this little YouTube video. Is it the exact same procedure with your x51v !

Ah Brilliant it worked, wireless and power, then just press the reset in once and it went straight in!

Can please anyone help me to change my German rom to English or (even better) to Greek language? The rom version is 3.4.207.2 wwe (if this is helpfull).

Quick and simple solution to your problem is that you need to find the English (Greek) ROM for your device...then you need to update your device with this ROM.
To be able to flash your phone with a WWE (= English International) Rom, you need to "CID" unlock your phone first with USPL.
Without CID unlocking your phone, you wont be able to flash your phone with an English (Greek) ROM.
After CID unlock you will be able to flash any ROM to your device.

My problem is that when i'm trying to place any new rom, the phone goes in the state of Gray screen and when reaches the 3%, closes and lose the connection with the computer and the update goes on!! I would like to ask you a thing..! The phone must be restarted after the first step and must start with the old system, or i must wait to do something else? Because it does'nt do anything else! It stays a little bit in a "dark blue" screen and after that it closes. I have to open it again with the power button, to establish a connection with the ActivSync..After that, the program can procced but then comes the Gray screen with 3% and..BOOM! The phone wakes up in German again!!

how to unlock SAMSUNG i780 phone code?

I have in hand a samsung i780 securty (phone) code locked. it is a WM phone. how to reset phone code? pls need urgent.I know I can hard reset from setting menu but I can not enter main menu at all because of phone code.

If your eboot isn' t really old you can hard reset in this way: keep pressed the green and the red button and turn on the phone.

I don't understand what is this code, if it's the pin you can't do anything but if it's the lock code by windows mobile i think you can erase it flashing the device (you' ll lose everything)

ok mate! it is phone code. I understood that I should flash the phone because this ROM do not alow hard reset. but I don't know the version of the phone, and what rom to upload. is there any risk to kill the phone with uploading noneproper ROM? as I understand phone has a German ROM uploaded, can I upload any WWE ROM, don't know what is the WM version inside, 6.0?,6.1?6.5? as customer says it is multilanguage phone.

You can upload every rom you want, it doesn't matter which rom you have now. Bricking the device is possible (rare but possible) but it's the only chance you have to remove that code. I flashed 5 times without problems and other users flashed 100+ times without problems.
