As the title as written, I found the kernel config file that extract from HTC stock kernel (2.6.32.15-gd96f2c0) contains a line 'HTC_OFFMODE_ALARM = y'. Does this mean that the kernel support alarm clock in shutdown mode? Like the Nokia phone?

Likely. Didn't test it though

But the kernel is not running while the phone is off. Is the low level hardware timer to turn the phone on at all present?

It doesn't.

Too bad, but we were almost sure it won't. Thanks for trying and clearing this mate.
It is a bit strange, really. I mean, this function is in every single non-smartphone in the world (at least almost), and I can't see why it should be so difficult to incorporate into smartphones.

Ok so this is my thread for my kernel... just getting it started and will finish it tonight because I am without a computer right now but figured I could startf it with my phone. This has touchscreen support for Desire Z in ICS and much more
New kernel - Full Keyboard and softkey support and base speed of 307mhz to prevent crashes - removed file is broken

I though xT's Beta3r3.1 includes OdiemanSAM's kernel and therefore no need for the additional step of flashing this?

When I flashed the ICS this morning without the keyboard fix I couldn't use
FN + Q for a 1 or FN + W for a 2, and so on...
So is this possible with the fix?

So I just tried to run WiFi Calling (Desire S port b3r3.1), and it kept force closing. Obviously not a big deal since WiFi isn't currently working, but does your kernel have the kineto module in it so that once we get WiFi we can do WiFi calling? Also, I tried to run LED Me Know, and it also FC'd. I don't know if that's a kernel problem, a ROM problem, or if it's just not compatible with ICS yet, but I thought I'd let you know in case it was a kernel problem.
Thanks again for all the hard work!

Anyone knows why the screen on - off animations like http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=815335 won't show on cm 7.1.0.1 for wildfire? I've tried setting them on-off reboot etc but no change at all. Any clue anyone?
It's an extremely random effect. If having it is so important, consider upgrading to the latest nightlies, where they are much more consistent (Still not 100%) than the stable.
I went to a local store yesterday and the Nexus S had it, no root. Is there incompatibility or something with the WF
Actually, i accidentally managed to make it work after installing a theme called "rover" (if i remember well), but it screwed up fonts and icon sizes cause i think its designed for desire, and i had to reflash cm7 to solve it.

It is compatible with buzz, but i guess something is messed up with the cm7 stable package.

There must be a way making it a flashable zip, with zipthemer maybe, but i need the lockscreen animation file to do it. Maybe i'll check the cyanogen forums.

Strange, I always manage to get it working after 1-2 reboots (On Nightly #250 and Erwin's local build). (Verified - Since I keep changing SIM cards between my SGS2 and Wildfire pretty regularly)
Hmm.. maybe i'll give it another shot tomorrow then. You managed that only by rebooting? Not changing anything in the settings?

Hi,
Firstly, I searched but couldn't find what I needed.
My question is, is it possible to allow the stock camera flash (also torch app) to work while the battery is below 15%?
Once the phone reaches 15% I can no longer use either.
Thanks
Not as stock. If you rooted there are some ROM's which have lowered the flash threshold.

use another camera app like ics camera plus. flash works then.

Since we have issues changing the clock values I was search for an app and stumbled upon this app from Transformer Prime forums. There are only few settings but works well.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1526311
Nice app but,why would you want to overclock you'r HOX?
maybe to keep your hands warm
You can underclock and set Power Saver frequency set different values.
Hum, doesnt seems to work.
I set it to 1GHz and check with system tuner time in state, it still shows freqs used above. Iam on franco kernel/Charamander ROM.
Perhaps iam missing something

i believe some form of tegra power management currently over rides these cpu apps, they will need to be update before they will work.

Hmm.. I tested by running benchmark when I change the value then run benchmark I get lower scores. I don't have hard evidence. But since TP and HOX are using same SoC it's supposed to work rite?

Well i think its just not possible to throttle the CPU speeds at the moment. Didn't find a application that actually works.
SetCPU etc etc all fail at the job. Tegra chip is overruling them all the time it seems.

Yep, EZOverclock works just fine with my Transformer Prime.

We probably needs a kerneldeveloper for this magic.....
All of the ROMs I have tried are great. I keep going back to AOKP though because for me, it's perfect. I just have a question though: Why won't they save settings I make? For example, I use Perfect Keyboard. Every time I reboot, it resets back to the default. Also, I usually drop the CPU down to about 860-1000 MHz but again, every time I reboot, it goes back to the default. The only thing that saves are sounds, display and ROM control settings.

Don't need to reboot. Screen off and on will set them back. One devs response was and quote "f...king nvidia".

Thanks. One more question, you know how the Franco kernel has the app that lets you select the number of actove cores? What app lets you do that with other kernels. I bought System Tuner Pro but I can't figure out how to do it.

I tried that but I don't see a way to limit the cores that are active. Useful app though. Thank you.
Thanks, tgascoigne. That was pissing me off immensely.
By selecting 2 3 or 4 you are limiting the number if cores that CAN become active.

That option isn't available in my version of that app. I'm adding a screen shot of the way my app looks.
Also, why do I not get notified for voicemails anymore? I'm with Bell in Ontario and on Sense ROMs, I get the little voicemail icon at the top and a text message letting me know of the voicemail but on AOSP/AOKP.CM10 4.0 and 4.1 ROMs, I get nothing. Thanks for all your help.
I use no frills cpu control and it works fine, i couldn't get core control setting to stick. No frills doesn't give you the option to limit the cores but i personally didn't get much battery improvement by limiting to 2cores anyway.

Weird. Is there a different version than mine? Mine has 2-cores, 3-cores, 4-cores shown as buttons on the top of the screen. Can't upload a picture with xda premium. Don't know why.
Also, I think you can still use franco's app to change the number of active cores for other kernels.
