[Q] Unlocked BT ToGo, still showing BT Setup. - HTC Excalibur

Hello all,
I have got a Unlocked BT ToGo (S620) And is now changed to O2 SIM. But when I start it up, it shows the BT Setup window. If i go through the setup, it fails and the setup is not finished. This will happen everytime I turn it on. Is there anyway to make the BT Setup stop showing on startup?
Ill try to put up anymore additional information for you.
Thanks.

It's still got the BT software on it so will show that stupid pesky thing that even on BT you'd get stuck on.
Read the sticky hard-reset is what you want all will be default.
Or another option flash a custom ROM so you can have an upgrade to 6.1/6.5.

Did a hard reset. Took off that pesky BT setup thing. Thanks alot!

Cool glad you sorted happy to help.

Grey Screen with Error 101 - Can you lend me a hand?

I've tried to patch my O2 XDAIIs with the Imate rom with no joy. It kept putting me to the grey screen letting me know the unit is either UBS or Serial depending on if it's in it's cradle or not.
Now I can't get the Rom update from O2 on the unit. When I try to get a Rom back on the unit it tells me that it can not connect, i.e. Error 101: Connection Error.
Anyone able to help? I have tried the help file from Wiki - bootloader mode with no joy.
I've tried to hard reset the unit, tried downloading the Update from O2 again, killed the ActiveSync from Task manager..
Anyone experience this before and know a way out of it?
phew!
I think I have it going now...
What I've had to do is grab another laptop. <not sure if the machine is the problem or not.>
Reinstall ActiveSync
Allow the machine to find the XDA
Run the Rom update - it's about 10% through so far, I'll let you know later if it works completely again.
Back up and going
I've got my XDAIIs back now, yahoo!
I have read others who have had trouble running the update on one comp, but fine on another. Seems strangly common.
Congrats on fixing it!

Anybody tried it? Does it solves the bluetooth disconnection problem?
Thanks
Radio 1.08.00
Radio 1.08.00 seems to be for the Himalaya?
yep ! definetely for a himalaya !
I'm halfway through upgrading mine... maybe I should have checked the new posts in here before I started... :? I'll let you know how it turns out!
I had the Country ID error and ran it again. Worked second time.
I guess I can always reflash back to 1.06.00 if it all goes tits up!
EDIT: Presumably if it's for the Himalaya then WiFi connectivity will be broken once I've done it, since the Himalaya doesn't support WiFi. 30% done. I'll report back soon...

Please let us know, so we could possible proceed as well.
im 88% through flashing, figured wtf 1.06 can go on again
Okay, I've done the upgrade and when I did a soft-reset my machine said
Radio 1.08.00
Protocol 42.41.P8
And I have connected to my wireless network at home and have successfully browsed to the bbc.co.uk homepage, so WiFi works.
I haven't put a SIM in my device yet (still using my old phone).
Why do you guys think it's for the Himalaya?
well it seems to work a treat chaps,
wifi connectec quicker im sure, not long enough for a thorough check but its working!!!
oops i forgot to remove the sd and sim, ahhwell, flashed first time, phew
Okay guys, here's what I've found so far:
WiFi works - connected to my home network and browsed
Bluetooth works - ran TomTom and got a fix
Phone works - Made a few phone calls.
AND... When I rang the Exec it indicated an incoming call the INSTANT I got a dial tone on the house phone and there was no delay before we could hear each other!
This looks like the real deal!
im sure this thing is running alot smoother aswell, so far 1.08 on the Universal is a green light, i dunno where this hymilaya thing has come from, but on buzz's site its in the universal section
Yeah I agree Carnivor. It looks very promising so far and all of the functions appear to work at least as well as before.
Just been syncing successfully with Exchange over WiFi.
Obviously if it starts crashing we'll report back, but nothing bad so far!
About wifi, did you have the need to turn on twice to connect, and is it solved with this radio? Ie: Some universal user can turn on wifi the first time, but if you turn it off (using the pocket pc menu, not by turning off the power), and you turn on again, it won't connect. You would have to turn off then on to connect.
i upgraded to my Jasjar and all went alright until I reset at the end and it want boot past the blue i-mate screen, I have even hard reset and still nothing.

Just reset the device normally and plug in the USB cable.
ActiveSync won't connect, but it will be connected to your PC. Just run the T-Mobile ROM Update program then and everything should be fine
If you still want to upgrade to Radio ROM 1.08.00, then try the tutorial I wrote here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=40986
Just follow all the steps for the radio ROM, and in the end throw away the non-radio ROM files before flashing
I'm using this method right now on my Dutch T-Mobile MDA Pro as I also had trouble with the NoID tool
Thanks for helping me.
You said use the T-Mobile Rom, I have a i-Mate Jasjar, is the T-Mobile Rom the only Rom that will fix this problem?

Err, sorry, my bad
I thought you had a T-Mobile logo in your name
No, if you have an I-Mate, use an original I-Mate ROM instead of the T-Mobile one
EDIT:
Actual feedback on this Radio ROM:
the GPRS refused to log in, somehow, although I'm not quite sure this is a problem with the ROM. I'll downgrade to 1.06.00 later and see if the problem persists.
Everything else seems to work just fine
Upgrade Radio 1.08.00
I just upgraded my Universal (OS: TMo 1.20.34) with Radio 1.08.
Everything running like a charm.
Cheers

boot up/wifi problems

I got a X01HT and it has been flashed to WM6 by the seller. However, I have some issues with it.
1) everytime I soft reboot it, it will stuck at the green windows mobile interface and not going thru into my 'desktop'...but I can tell that the phone has ready since the GSM signal flashes. but the screen freezes up at the green greeting page...I have to stab the reset hole for more than 15 times and it can finally get into my desktop... pls help me with the boot up issues...it is quite annoying
2) last time my X01HT looks as usual, but the phone function lost without any clue...no calls in and out but all functions are working well. I sware the flight mode is shut off...how this happened ?
3) I can access to the wifi connection in my office and remote control my computer...BUT, I cannot browse any of the web pages on the device thru the IE or other browsers...any suggestions ?
Thank you so much for your help. New to this device.
no one could kindly lend me a hand ?
What error do you get when trying to load a web page in IE?
no error msg...it keeps searching...searching and searching...
maybe you have an old buggy version of wm6 on your device. try to flash a new release and see what happens. if you still have the problems, it may be a hardware problem.

Help! Me choos a ROM: I unlocked the 8525, now it won't let me upgrade newest Cingula

So yeah, i used the new V3a unlock utility, automated version...
Well it also updates the SPL in the process, not sure if this is why I cannot update my ROM to the newest official Cingular Release? What happens is the screen goes blank as if I had it on saving power mode, right when the update officially starts (progress bar stays at 0%), and I get the 460 error or whatever..for some reason my phone loses the ActiveSync connection at the same time screen goes dark.
Then I pickup my phone, everything is fine...but that ROM update puts it to sleep causing it to lose the connection I guess.
So anyway, which would be a ROM that will work for me? Is it not working because that unlock thingy upgraded my SPL?
I currently have WM 2005 on the phone, it is working fine. Just want an upgrade..to WM6.
I have t-mobile..
Go to the wiki and read the section on upgrading ROM via the miniSD card. I couldn't get mine to take via wire, but the SD method worked great.

Problem Upgrading Artemis

Hello,
While I was upgrading my Artemis to the Artemis Touch 4.02 version, there was an accidental powercut and the updating process was interrupted.
I turned on my phone, it's still working thank God, but I feel like some things are changed in terms of theme and lots of contacts are missing. Anyways, everything is safely backed up.
When I connect my phone to the PC, the synchronization process is successful, the phone Connects to the PC, but when I start updating my phone, the process does not start and an Error 602 (Connection problem) pops-up ironically.
How can I resolve this problem to update my ROM?!
Please someone help asap!
SOLVED
Okay thanks for the help everyone... haha
I solved it myself after such a long time figured out that it's such a simple problem to resolve... I removed the MircoSD from the cellphone, and it successfully connected and installed.
Whoever has this problem do it, and it will work!!
