Hello fellow Dash/Excalibur users!
So lately I've been getting quite a few annoying prank calls from a blocked number. These actually don't bother me too much except for when its the middle of the night :X So I wanted to create a profile where "unknown" (blocked) numbers wouldn't ring and normal calls with caller ID's would ring. For the life of me I can not figure out how to do this. It appears that on the Dash you can only have ALL calls as silent or ALL calls set to ring thru. Maybe someone knows a good program for this purpose.
Right now I have it set to completely silent when I go to sleep but it would be really nice to figure this out so that other people can still call me if they need to.
Thanks a ton.
PS- I'm running WM6 Beta on a T-Mo Dash if that matters.
eyeoncall.
Thanks! Works great.
Hi, love the built in call blocking functions on my Galaxy Note 2 and Do Not Disturb on iOS 6. Looking for a similar app for my N4. What are you guys using, what do you recommend? Thanks!
I use EasyFilter. Handles call and message blocking nicely for me.

Root Call Blocker. You wont even know SMS or CALL is blocked. it will never ring. Just blocks it right from the start. Of coarse, you can still have it notify you with each block..
Thanks guys, I will give those a shot.
i would also suggest Root Call Blocker.. I have been using that for a while.

Can you set this up so that from like, midnight to 7am, it blocks all calls EXCEPT for those from specific people on your contact list?
If so that's pretty sweet.

Yes, it will do a call blocking schedule.. you would set up a particular black list, then can schedule what times it goes in affect, can even specify which days. or the pro version does any way.. But for me it was worth the money
Very worth it. its the only call blocker that actually works and doesn't ring. It let's the system know that the number is on your blacklist and doesn't allow it to ring..

Also use root call blocker. Awesome app that doesn't even make your phone ring

I've got a question about Root call blocker. The miss calls don't end up in my normal call log, but instead go to a log inside of root call blocker. Is there a way to set it so that the missed calls show up in my normal dialer? Other than this, Root Call Blocker does everything I want it to. I'm so sick of work wasting my minutes every month. I need something like this that will block everything but a whitelist, but I really want the miss calls to show up in my call log, not have to check a second app for that.
After some more research and playing around, I don't think Root Call Blocker is capable of this. What I'm looking for is an app that will forward an incoming call to voicemail unless the number is in my contacts. That way I don't have to hear the phone ring, but it still shows up as a missed call in the log. I "might" be interested in having the phone ring for non-contacts if someone calls me repeatedly, because I'd know it was important.
The Play store has some apps that claim that they can do this, but reviews say that none of them do it well, and they require the user to keep the ringer & notifications muted. This means if you are doing something you will be interrupted for the duration of the phone ringing, and the phone will display the incoming call screen. It also means that you will get no notification sounds through the phone for any apps. This won't work at all.
Any suggestions for me? Root call blocker would be awesome if calls showed up in the dialer log. It would be perfect if you could set it to allow repeated calls through.

Tasker is amazing and you could get everything you want set up. Youtube has several tutorials on how to use tasker if you have trouble, it can be a little tricky at first but its one of the most useful apps out their.

I'll look into Tasker. I didn't think to even try it out. I'll do some YouTubing and searching around the web to see what I can figure out. I think it would take a few profiles to do what I want it to do:
1. Non Contacts are sent to Voicemail, missed call shows up in the call log, phone never rings.
2. If a non-contact calls me twice or more in 2 minutes, let the call go through to the phone.
3. Contacts calls work as normal.
4. Putting Ringtones & Notifications volume to mute should not be required.

Ive used two years not cant get enough.
Root Call Blocker. Fantastic app and works silently, blocking and not notifying you of texts or calls (can alter settings so that you do receive a notification if you prefer).

Call Master does everything I want except show the missed / blocked calls in the call log. I have to use its call log to see what I missed. That's not the end of the world for me though. So far Call Master does what I want the best.
I've been trying to make it so my phone goes silent at a certain time, and then removes the silent after the 'certain time' has expired. This has not been a problem.
The issue is that I still want specific phone numbers to make it through should I receive an emergency call. I used the Profile -> Phone, Incoming Call - to trigger and this works fine. However, there seems to be nothing I can do to force the phone to ring. I've tried removing silent mode, and it does, but the phone still won't ring until the next call. I've also tried lowering volumes and raising on phone call, same result. The closest I've become is to play my ringer tone as a ringer using Task -> Media, Play Ringtone. The downside is the phone will absolutely NOT stop ringing. It does when you pick up the phone but continues after you hang up, well past the ringtones duration. Calling Stop Task doesn't work, nor can I find a stop audio action.
I'm hoping someone has a good solution to this as I couldn't find one through lots of searching and trying. I wouldn't mind having to use a terminal command to stop audio if possible but I couldn't find any information on that either.
Any help is appreciated.
Just going to bump this once in hopes someone can figure out a solution. Thanks.
Hey, I'm trying to figure out if the issue I'm seeing is limited to my device, or if other people are seeing it as well.
I currently have vibration notifications disabled for G+, Google Hangouts, and Facebook, but enabled for phone and text messages. If I have the volume turned up, my phone will only vibrate when I receive texts or phone calls ... as expected. However, if I put my phones sound profile to Vibrate, it will vibrate for all notifications, regardless of finite app preferences. I have to keep my phone on silent at night and at work, otherwise it just vibrates allllllllll day long. However, that also means that, unless I'm looking at my phone, I'll miss phone calls or text messages.
The Verizon store confirmed the issue, and HTC just escalated the issue when I called. Is it my device, or are you guys seeing that as well?
Ok so far I like it - and I love the watch
Maybe a have this wrong....
Mute the watch also mutes the phone
muting the phone does not mute the watch????
So you are in a meeting and you place your hand over the phone, or flip it on its back to mute but your watch keeps ringing! Is it working differently for other people? It just seems so dumb - when would you want to mute the phone in a situation as above but want the watch to keep making sound?
App makers - start building - help us to get the most out of this new asset
I am finding the speaker to be inconsistent across manufacturer phones. I have an LG G4 and it mostly plays nice. I haven't put the call feature through the full tests but I did notice that when I was on the phone-phone and a 2nd call came through, flipping over to the 2nd caller automatically caused my watch to activate and audio conversation came from the watch, even though I did everything on the phone.
I haven't checked the muted issues, but that could really be an issue I need to really test. I have constant conference calls where I mute. I also work from home most days. I would HATE HATE HATE to mute the phone and talking dirty to my passing GF. Fortunately I do not wear the watch much at home but good to know.
sound Alarm
Sorry can not help you in terms of your question, I'm looking to settle another matter! How can add and change alarm tones or notifications, because I have not found tones than only to call?

You have to do it manually, and you have to be rooted. Admittedly this info. is in the the wrong thread, but Motawa88 posted there, so I helped him out there.
Starting at post #353: http://forum.xda-developers.com/hua...skin1980s-huawei-watch-kernel-t3219576/page36
I suggest maybe starting a separate thread instead of posting ringtone/alarm tones in a kernel thread :good:
