[Q] Verizon HTC One sound profile bug? - Verizon HTC One (M7)

Hey, I'm trying to figure out if the issue I'm seeing is limited to my device, or if other people are seeing it as well.
I currently have vibration notifications disabled for G+, Google Hangouts, and Facebook, but enabled for phone and text messages. If I have the volume turned up, my phone will only vibrate when I receive texts or phone calls ... as expected. However, if I put my phones sound profile to Vibrate, it will vibrate for all notifications, regardless of finite app preferences. I have to keep my phone on silent at night and at work, otherwise it just vibrates allllllllll day long. However, that also means that, unless I'm looking at my phone, I'll miss phone calls or text messages.
The Verizon store confirmed the issue, and HTC just escalated the issue when I called. Is it my device, or are you guys seeing that as well?

[Q] Galaxy Nexus and it's vibrator

Hey guys!
I've been wondering a bit, after getting my Galaxy Nexus. I mostly have my phones on silent, just have it to vibrate, when ever I receive a call, sms, e-mail or what ever.
But with the Galaxy Nexus, I seem to can't feel the vibrator (no naughty thoughts!), and therefore I can't have my phone on silent.
Anyone know if i can change it with an app or anything else? Really hate that my phone needs to sound like a an robot when ever i get a notification.
Cheers,
Alexander W.

Are you talking about a software problem or a physical problem?
As in have you tried going into like gmail settings and turning on vibrate when receiving emails and stuff like that?
I had this exact same problem. I never have my phones make noise (other than the sound of it vibrating) as I don't want to accidentally leave it on loud when it should be on silent. Just easier that way. Plus you can hear your phone vibrating on a table or other hard surface from other rooms, so no need for sound.
It took me a bit to figure out what was going on, but what the issue was for me was I had the ringer volume down too low. With your phone unlocked, press the volume up rocker once. You will see that it changes from a speaker with a line through it to a phone that appears to be vibrating. This will put it in silent but vibrate mode.
Also make sure in the sound settings that you have the vibrate mode set properly. I have mine set to always vibrate.
Hope that helps!

Try the application Light Flow. I had the same problem, couldn't feel the short vibration and missed my emails and such. With light flow you can set up custom vibrations for different applications. I have two exchange accounts and have set up different vibration lengths and led colors for each (the one vibrates for around 4 seconds). You can also set up another set of vibrations if you miss the first one that will repeat for a duration of time that you can also set.
For phone calls only, try vibration manager, it will allow custom vibrations for incoming calls.

Yes, there is silent, vibrate and tones
hiohokaybye - It's exactly like the others says. It proberbly isen't a problem with the phone, it just doesn't vibrate "hard" enought for me to feel it or hear it.
But thanks for the help, jaeisber, archerks & white lie! - Got it working "right" now.
Cheers, y'all, and Merry Christmas!
I giggled when I read the title of the thread.
I too have experienced missing calls and messages do to the fact that the phone vibrates at a much higher frequency than other phones I have had. It feels great when you hold it, but I don't notice it as much as other phones when I have it in my pocket.
Same here, I can't feel the vibration strong enough when it is in my pocket and miss calls. I'll have to try the light app.

Tasker issue with Galaxy S2

I've been trying to make it so my phone goes silent at a certain time, and then removes the silent after the 'certain time' has expired. This has not been a problem.
The issue is that I still want specific phone numbers to make it through should I receive an emergency call. I used the Profile -> Phone, Incoming Call - to trigger and this works fine. However, there seems to be nothing I can do to force the phone to ring. I've tried removing silent mode, and it does, but the phone still won't ring until the next call. I've also tried lowering volumes and raising on phone call, same result. The closest I've become is to play my ringer tone as a ringer using Task -> Media, Play Ringtone. The downside is the phone will absolutely NOT stop ringing. It does when you pick up the phone but continues after you hang up, well past the ringtones duration. Calling Stop Task doesn't work, nor can I find a stop audio action.
I'm hoping someone has a good solution to this as I couldn't find one through lots of searching and trying. I wouldn't mind having to use a terminal command to stop audio if possible but I couldn't find any information on that either.
Any help is appreciated.
Just going to bump this once in hopes someone can figure out a solution. Thanks.

Issues with Phone not ringing or displaying incoming calls

On my Verizon S20, recently incoming calls are not ringing and/or not displaying on my phone. I'll see missed calls with the phone right in front of me. Or I'll hear it ringing, but it stays on the Always-On display without showing the call screen to accept or decline or even who is calling. I'm also not hearing text messages either. Any ideas?

Verizon tech support had me go and reset the phone settings and it resolved the issues. The only pain was going back and redoing ring and notification tones, always on display, and a few other settings.

Question NO sound or vibration notifications during calls.

Such a thing. During a regular phone call, the phone does not let me know about notifications. More specifically notifications are coming, but there is NO slight vibration, some short sound beep etc. This has a big impact on my work.
I will not take the phone away from my ear every 10 seconds to see on the screen if a new notification has come from, for example, WhatsApp or another app. This is absurd. Any fix?
Same problem here. Any solution?

Galaxy Watch4: Intermittent display of WhatsApp incoming calls

Dear all,
my apologies if this topic alredy exists in this forum.
My problem:
I'm pairing my Watch4 via BT with Note8, Android version 9.
WhatsApp text messages show up on the watch as expected, but calls don't. I get notified about missed calls, but those specific notifications show themselves as that orange dot only. No vibration or sound. I could stand having this issue if at least the "missed call" notification would work well.
Here's the odd thing; every now and then I actually do get that call notification, with the opportunity to decline. But not very often and there is no behavior pattern whatsoever. Seems totally random.
It didn't work with my old Galaxy Active Watch either, so I'm suspecting that the problem might be with the phone, not the watch.
I would so much appreciate some good advice on how to troubleshoot this. Or at least an explanation of the cause.
Anyone...?
