I currently have a touch HD. I'm planning on upgrading to a desire. If I did would I be able to transfer the Tom Tom files from my HD to the desire, and have Tom Tom satnav on the desire?
No. Currently, tomtom doesn't have an android version.
Is there a good sat nave out for android? If so how much does it cost?

copilot live is the best, far better than winmo tomtom imo, it starts at about £25-30

Hello Trinity forum,
iam intedning to buy a Trinity P3600, as i see on the phone spec., it does have a built-in GPS module.
however the WM6 and WM6.1 Roms posted in this forum doesnt have any indication to support it, am I right?
another question: from your experience, do you recommand it? the spec. seems to be ok, fast CPU, big ram, GPS, UMTS HSDPA. iam excited to have one!
Regards
P.S.: for now i am using the HTC Prophet
No need to panic, GPS is all working and fine, I've used many ROM's 6 and 6.1, GPS works fine in them all.
Unless you really think you need a hardware keyboard, I would HIGHLY recommend this phone. It's small enough to fit in the pocket, but PACKED with features. I use TomTom software for the GPS and it works GREAT! I also have a TomTom Rider for my motorcycle, and they both work almost identically.
For a FREE alternative to TomTom software, you can always download the FREE Microsoft Live Search software. It has GPS traffic directions in it. Not quite as easy to use as TomTom, but Free... It also includes free traffic conditions and Satellite Maps. You can see your house on your phone.
PS: Welcome to the club.
Microsoft Live Search Software: wls.live.com from your mobile phone.
Thank you guys....
I think that touche cruise is much a better option right now than trinity.
It has more ram, better gps chip and official wm6 support

I hope the Polaris does not have the same problems as the Tytn2.
My Tytn2 feels extremely slow compared to the P3600.
Tried a lot of ROMs but I prefer my P3600.

Right...
Trinity was the best 1 year ago.
Today the HTC Touch Cruise (Polaris) is a better solution.
More RAM/ROM
A-GPS support
Better Touch Screen
Radio FM.
Official WM6.
Good morning to all..
Can anybody tell me if you can run garmin xt on a p3300. If so how do you get it to see the internal gps
Thanks
Yes it works with internal GPS (and also with external tomtom Bluetooth GPS)
O yes, it works... But you'd better stay with TomTom. The interface is very 'busy' and it's not compatible with other Garmin products. I've got an StreetPilot 2720 on my motorbike and TomTom navigator on my HTC P3300. Garmin XT sucks...
plz someone guide how to install TOMTOM on HTC P3300????

My universal is mine for the last day (even if I'm thinking about buying another one, because is a superb device), so I bought a Toshiba portege G900 to replace it, it seems like it's another HTC project, I'm sure that this project's base was the Uni (hardware is quite similar).
Until now I have mixed feelings about it, but I think that there are many of us out there with this device or one of its "reincarnations", G900, G910, G920, G8XX.
I also think that the Xpedia X1 is mostly the same hardware as the Toshiba's devices, after all, the uni has proved to be practically the best compromise between power, portability, usability, form factor, full keyboard, etc.
So, what do you say?
Toshiba g910

Hi,
I haven't this device but I thing you have to go to
http://myg900.com
I see that many softwares run on G900 that has the same resolution, TOMTOM 7, TOMTOM 6, IGO...
Look at "G900 3rd Party Software" section.
yepp, it is a good place for TOSHIBA

Unless you can prove it was created by HTC, there is no way you'll get a forum.
Hi,
just tested the "anja" Diamond 1.0 rom, but it's not 100% the same, the main thing I flashed for is the 3D booklet with contacts and HTC home down, but it wasn't in it.
Can anybody make a rom (or program) with the same screens as the Diamond (3d booklet on homepage with contacts on the right see enclosure)? Also the HTC Home tabs are completely down the screen and a direct photo button,...
Thanks,
Innovator
There will be one main problem.... the artemis chip is far away from beeing fast enough for this kind of gimicks

I think many people here working on what you ask for. And if it would be so easy then you could already have it.
Totally agree with Daiphi!!
Qualcomm® MSM7201A™ 528 MHz VS Texas Instruments OMAP850 200 MHz
I think tah cocludes it all!
No reason for and artemis rom with bling-bling 3D effects and no speed what so ever!
3D booklet
I had the Qtek 2020i (520mhz) and the Eten G500 (400MHZ) but i really don't need the fast processor. For only GSM, GPS, WIFI the OMAP 200MZ is fast enough, i have no complaints about applications that run slow, and half processor = half battery consumption. Batterystatus can pimp up your P3300 to 260mhz, but i really don't need this.
I think if someone (maybe Tom Condon could make a fast rom without too many junk, this 3D booklet would run smooth, like the 3D cube.
I think maybe in 2-3 years the P3300 can get slower, due to gps-manufacturers that make better 3D Graphics, but by then the Diamond is dropped to €300 and we have this one allready
Hope to test Igo My Way 8 soon, cause TomTom Navigator's graphics are very basic...
Cheers,
Innovator
^ I've seen Igo 8 on my friend's artemis, and it runs pretty slow on the Artemis Touch 4.02 rom. Well, actually its the same as Tomtom, but when the buildings or any 3D objects on the map come into focus, it does start struggling..

Tried igo 8 on my orbit - it works on o2 factory rom - but some cooked roms have not enough free ram. After 3 days still 22,7 MB free RAM (screenshots are incl. s. signature)

iGo8 works great on this device, I have it installed myself!
I have installed IGO8 on Artemis Touch 4.02 Full no Cube ROM
runs perfect and quick (with full details)
tested also with Anja Mossi Diamond style rom - and there is low free RAM for IGO8
Tested Igo8 today with Oop Black Beta Public Rom from Tom Condon (not condom), no delays, hope to see Tom's latest rom soon with some diamond influences, and booklet maybe instead of cube???
Also installed 'A-GPS' for the first time (quickgps also on rom, but A-gps should be good for 10 days or something).
So people saying IGO8 runs slow on their P3300 --> install a faster rom!!!
Some pre-cooked roms have so much junk that everythings goes slow.
Just take a basic rom (4.02 lite with no cube for example) and install your own stuff.
It's very difficult to cook a rom with tools that everyone uses... i prefer the lite stuff
But when the 3D Diamond interfacte would be included, i would not doubt to install this rom
Good moaning all,
I'm newish to android having used an iphone 4 for 12 months ... I got really bored with the iphone's "little ways" and after a brief romance with a chinese iphone running android I now have a WFS.
My question (eventually) ... 2 things I miss from the iphone; the camera and Tomtom.
Anyone know if/when TT is coming to android?
Will the WFS be able to run TT or will it need a faster processor?
Nothing can be said as of now. But afaik, it will work. It's a navigation application so it doesn't require an awesome processor.
