[Q] Stuck in Bootloader... - Droid Incredible Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Sorry to bother you guys.
I got the official RUU and got it working (first reverted from Third Wave to stock Sense 2.1), but then I wanted to just go with the custom ROM. Upon finishing the revert using the PB31IMG.zip file, I'm stuck in the Bootloader. Since I reverted, I don't have clockwork.
Every time I turn on the device, it flashes the HTC logo and immediately goes into Fastboot.
Help? Thanks. Sorry!

Same thing happened to me, just flash the revert RUU back to stock again, the kernel installation screwed up at some point. A second flash should fix your problem.

Thanks so much for replying, seriously. Am trying it right now. Will report back very soon.

Thank. You. So. Much. I was staring at every single advancement of those red bars...
Thankyouthankyouthankyouthankyou.

[Q] So what the h*ll just happened (and how do I fix it)?

I´m on Orange FroYo. Was going to flash Jboogies Blurless later today, but the sh*t hit the fan before I was able to.
I´d just made a call, and felt the phone was a little laggy (as it´s been from time to time with this ROM) and decided to make a reboot. Power off, power on, and it´s stuck in a boot loop. Just that teasing M-logo blinking, screen turning off and back to M-logo again.
I got into recovery, made a data wipe/factory reset, pressed "Reboot system now" and it´s still boot loop.
Now, I can get into bootloader, but I don´t want to make mattes worse, so what do I do? Just flash the ROM again through RSD Lite, or is there any other precautions I need to take?
I´m sorry if this has already been answered, but I´m on a schedule here, do NOT have time for this, so I haven´t really been searching around alot.
For JBoogies roms, once you have the platform all you do is restore the rom through back up, I don't know if there is an Sbf for Orange to flash at the moment, but there are others.
Whats is your stock version? I can probably get you up and running , but without all the knowledge prior to your loop you may be flashing a different firmware then you had before...
Better yet, do you have T-Mobile?
Edit: Try flashing the boot only with Rsd http://www.mediafire.com/?pkjkk75emk6x83f, you will need to be in bootloader.
Thanks, but I sorted it out. Flashed the Orange ROM through RSD Lite again, it worked out fine.
Think I´m gonna try and restore Jboogie´s ROM first thing tomorrow though.
Not that it matters now, but it would´ve been interesting to know exactly why this happened. I had just left work, so wasn´t exactly fiddling with the phone, just a simple reboot. Everything was working fine up untill that moment.

[Q] HTC ONE V CDMA-Phone reboot/s

Hello,
wanted to ask for help, i have HTC ONE V CDMA version Bootloader Unlocked and Rooted. S-ON
I tried installing PrimoC kernel on stock sense. I install kernel for ICS then i reboot into bootloader flash the boot.img. Phone reboots and keeps rebooting.
I install XPERIA Rom, install stock kernel through bootloader /fastboot phone wont boot up, just keeps restarting.
I install CM10 and install kernel phone boots up and shuts down. Boots up shuts down.

The point is what am I doing wrong? I went through every phone out there on the market never had any issues. This phone is pain in my ass.
The only way for me to boot up the phone out of boot loops is flashing BOOT.img from my back i made of the stock sense. Even then my WIFI will not work.
I am looking for pointers, instructions, whatever helps i love flashing I love these ROMS on here, but i just cant seem to get the to work.
Appreciate your time and your help.
Sounds like the last OTA update, your phone might have already had it before you bought it.

[Q] HTC keeps getting stuck

Hey all,
First of all, I'm not that well known with this stuff like ROMs etc, so please don't complain if I don't understand a part/your whole solution / help, furthermore, English isn't my native language, so sorry if any grammatical mistakes.
My prob:
A long time ago I managed, as a total noob as I didn't knew what I was doing, to get my phone stuck at the HTC One screen, which shows when starting your phone up.
I somehow fixed it, and since then I had the ROM SuPrimo v23.0
Lately, I experienced a lot of battery problems with my phone, so I tried, with a bit more knowledge about all this, to solve this problem by flashing another ROM.
After I did that it got stuck at the ''This build is for development purposes... etc.'' screen. I tried a lot of ROMs and eventually I came through this screen, but now it gets stuck at the next screen.
Please, help!

Did you flash the kernel ??
Hm, my brother came over for the weekend but I didn't knew. He managed to fix it, luckily. Still thanks for trying to help.

Anyway when you flash a rom you will always have to flash kernel otherwise it won't boot.
maybe try...

I had an issue like this. I still use this method to this day because i have s-on. I extract the rom and put the boot.img from the rom i want to flash into my fastboot folder, flash the boot. then flash the rom through twrp recovery. I know tons of other methods but all return with remote failed w/e rubbish. fastboot is your friend at this point with the one v cdma. At least until the devs crack that sucker. hope that helps someone out there, I sure could have used that info for about 5 hours.

[Q] Question about RUU

Hi All,
I have a VZW Htc One M8, and I have been playing with it when have gotten the chance recently. I have installed/flashed an RUU before to correct an issue I ran into (trying to take an OTA) and everything went smoothly. As I said I took the OTA, but kept the RUU from the previous time I used it (first mistake). I am s off so I am hoping that is going to save me here.... This brings me to my problem.
I was trying to flash Viper Rom, but at the end of the setup I kept getting a popup saying setup has stopped, and I was unable to see a homescreen, but the phone was working. I decided to revert back to stock using the old RUU (be gentle) and it loaded and I hit yes to begin. About 10 second in it stopped and wanted me to reboot... I was in the middle of doing something else when it happened so I rebooted back to the bootloader and my OS line was in red. I then went back to recovery and restored my very recently created backup of my stock rom, which worked. I then went back to the boot loader to look at what was in red more closely and it is now blank. It says OS but then nothing after.
I have since gotten the new RUU that I should have used, but it seem to hang on the last part of the loading (put in on my external sd card) and my phone works... but the boot take forever and the VZW logo doesn't come up anymore. It almost seem like the phone boots fine but the HTC ONE logo stays until the phone screen turns off and when I hit the power button to turn the screen back on the phone is booted. My question is... should I 1) try the old RUU again and then take the ota since I am s off I have seen that technically it should work. 2) let the phone sit at the loading of the newer RUU and see what happens (I haven't tried seeing if the old RUU will load yet) or 3) count my blessings and deal with a non completely broken phone?
I realize I made a few errors while doing this, but I am hoping that s off will allow me to correct the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Issue should be resolved
Sorry to everyone that read this... I didn't make it all the way through the thread where I found the new RUU, and the thread tells how to resolve the problem with not loading all the way. I am going to try the fix after work.
Edit 1: problem resolved... I am an idiot

[Q] No rom, No recovery, RUU doesn't work

Alrighty folks, it's time for me to give up and ask the community (probably what I should've done in the first place. lol)
This basically all started when I tried to update my GPE Rom to lollipop. I flashed it using TWRP from my external SD card. Then it wouldn't boot. Just kept showing the screen with the "google" logo and an unlocked padlock at the bottom.
Skip forward a day and some change and I managed to screw up the recovery. Same thing happens as when I tried to boot into the Rom. I'm now trying to get the stock RUU to work as I'd be happy with anything right about now. I keep getting an error 159. So, I committed the mortal sin, I didn't read enough and somehow, playing with fire, I got burnt.
Now I'm turning to you kind people to help me solve this issue and hopefully teach me a few things in the process
Just let me know what you need and I'll do my best to be not a dumb.
Thanks in advance.

Have you tried reflashing your recovery? Also I had the same problem with being stuck at the splash screen for lollipop, it just takes a really long time to boot and doesn't show a boot logo.
