[Q] HTC keeps getting stuck - HTC One V

Hey all,
First of all, I'm not that well known with this stuff like ROMs etc, so please don't complain if I don't understand a part/your whole solution / help, furthermore, English isn't my native language, so sorry if any grammatical mistakes.
My prob:
A long time ago I managed, as a total noob as I didn't knew what I was doing, to get my phone stuck at the HTC One screen, which shows when starting your phone up.
I somehow fixed it, and since then I had the ROM SuPrimo v23.0
Lately, I experienced a lot of battery problems with my phone, so I tried, with a bit more knowledge about all this, to solve this problem by flashing another ROM.
After I did that it got stuck at the ''This build is for development purposes... etc.'' screen. I tried a lot of ROMs and eventually I came through this screen, but now it gets stuck at the next screen.
Please, help!

Did you flash the kernel ??

Hm, my brother came over for the weekend but I didn't knew. He managed to fix it, luckily. Still thanks for trying to help.

Anyway when you flash a rom you will always have to flash kernel otherwise it won't boot.

maybe try...

I had an issue like this. I still use this method to this day because i have s-on. I extract the rom and put the boot.img from the rom i want to flash into my fastboot folder, flash the boot. then flash the rom through twrp recovery. I know tons of other methods but all return with remote failed w/e rubbish. fastboot is your friend at this point with the one v cdma. At least until the devs crack that sucker. hope that helps someone out there, I sure could have used that info for about 5 hours.

[Q] S On Unlocked Dinc2 stuck at HTC screen

I am a noob, I have made several mistakes.....but I am literally begging for help.
I unlocked my Dinc2 through the HTC dev site....I know now this was mistake #1. I tired flashing a few roms, none of them worked....they all got hung up on white HTC screen. I was able to get into recovery and get back to my stock rom before I tried installing anything.
The last rom I tired, I tired doing it through adb and command prompt...it looked like it worked, but when I booted...it got stuck again. I tired recovery and this time the restore wont even boot.
I have read all the posts similar, and the only difference is I am S On so I cant flash a RUU.....please help.
I have taken so many pieces of advice I dont know what to do, thank you in advance.

When you flash a custom ROM on an locked bootloader, you then extract the boot.img contained in the ROM's zip file and flash it in fastboot mode using the command:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
I may have extracted the wrong boot.img..... if I try this over again and get the right one should it work?

Yes that is the procedure you need to do with the unlocked bootloader.

Reboot and Bootloop (CM10)

Hey all,
I really hope I'm posting this in the right forums, and I did do a google search/xda search prior to this, but I unfortunately did not find anything relevant to my situation.
Anywho, I flashed CM10 on to my phone but ended up in a bootloop. Coming from the S3 and never before using an HTC, I did do the mistake of not flashing the boot.img included with the zip through fastboot initially. After realizing what I forgot to do, I did it and ta-da! It works now and seems to be functioning perfectly.
I seem to have a new situation now though, where my Hox will enter a bootloop whenever I reboot my phone. It's not a huge issue with me, as I can just enter fastboot and flash the boot.img again to get it working. But if I'm not at my computer by any chance, then I would be sort of SOL. So I was just wondering if any of you guys could possibly chime in with a reason why this is happening and how I could fix it.
Once again, I apologize deeply if I just forgot to do something, or if the answer is as clearcut as it can possibly be. Thank you all, regardless.

fastboot erase cache
did you do fastboot boot boot.img or fastboot flash boot boot.img?
sounds like you may have done the first one which would load the kernel one-time and then on next boot it wouldnt be there because it wasnt actually flashed.
I had the same. Just come from Stock rooted Sense 4.1 ROM to viperX. Followed the instructions on their setup but got just a reboot boot loop. If I went to fastboot, shutdown then booted up from cold - no probs. Did the above with the boot.img from the ROM zip, and the erase cache thing. 2 successful reboots later n it seems OK!

[Q] Htc wildfire rooting issue

Ok so guys i had just rooted my htc wildfire s (or atleast thought i rooted it ) and was trying to install a cyanogen mod ROM , it would not install ,if it would install it would be stuck at the htc logo screen , now i thought this would be the fault of recovery so i decided to install another recovery and flash that with cmd (fastboot flash recovery recovery.img) but then when i booted in recovery it would show me the pink recovery, i got a little scared and flashed another recovery and now the recovery will not even boot . it will just go on htc logo and black screen , i tried many different recoveries but no avail , it is in s-on right now , please forgive me if this sounds noobish i really am a noob at this .please provide me with a solution and tell me if it is bricked and if i can repair it by taking it to a software shop and asking them to do it for me (Just advise me if i can come back from this)
Flash the first recovery, which actually worked, and if it installs, wipe everything and flash a basic CM7 rom. It'll work. It's just soft bricked don't worry.

actually i gave it to a software store , he said he couldn't do it as the files were not to be found ... i think it might have been bricked but seeing as i can access h-boot only and when i turn on the phone it only stays on the htc logo screen and does not proceed can you call this bricked . ? i tried the first recovery as you mentioned but it was no use ... i tried relocking and unlocking bootloader again but it seems as if that was unnecessary as nothing different happened .. im still waiting for an answer
This is really very weird.

Start from square one, unlock the bootloader, flash the recovery, if one doesn't install, try another, at least one will surely work, and then flash a new rom.
All the best.
Remember, android can never be bricked, there is always a way out.

[Q] No rom, No recovery, RUU doesn't work

Alrighty folks, it's time for me to give up and ask the community (probably what I should've done in the first place. lol)
This basically all started when I tried to update my GPE Rom to lollipop. I flashed it using TWRP from my external SD card. Then it wouldn't boot. Just kept showing the screen with the "google" logo and an unlocked padlock at the bottom.
Skip forward a day and some change and I managed to screw up the recovery. Same thing happens as when I tried to boot into the Rom. I'm now trying to get the stock RUU to work as I'd be happy with anything right about now. I keep getting an error 159. So, I committed the mortal sin, I didn't read enough and somehow, playing with fire, I got burnt.
Now I'm turning to you kind people to help me solve this issue and hopefully teach me a few things in the process
Just let me know what you need and I'll do my best to be not a dumb.
Thanks in advance.

Have you tried reflashing your recovery? Also I had the same problem with being stuck at the splash screen for lollipop, it just takes a really long time to boot and doesn't show a boot logo.

PLEASE HELP! bricked my phone!

Bricked my phone ! please help!!!
Hello everyone, I think I messed up my phone pretty bad. So I did everything on this instructions to load twp and everything seemed fine. (https://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-galaxy-s8+/development/rom-t3771206)
Was able to get to twp and tried to install Renovate Ice ROM. After the flash was done the phone kept booting into TWP. . didn't know what to do so I did the whole process again thinking i will get my original ROM back. ( i know, stupid mistake ). Once i saw that things weren't going anywhere i decided to flash the Stock ROM back in and try to start over, the flash completed but now i'm stuck on a boot loop, the phone won't turn off and recovery is unacceptable.
I really would appreciate any help and am willing to donate a few bucks if someone is able to get me out of this mess.
thanks!
