Yep, settings>personalise>scenes>menu>save if I recall right
Scene backup
Also, when you change a scene, it automatically ask you to save it first.

No - Back it up such that I can restore it after a hard reset/rom update etc.
Yes there is an app called - mybackup from the market. Its not free, but worth every penny. Backs up the whole phone, including the scenes.

Rooting and loading rom after rom can be quite exciting. However in doing so can bring about hours of time spent setting up preferences, adding back shortcuts, widgets, and installing all your apps again. Aside from Titanium, does anyone know of an easy one click type of app that will backup user settings, shortcuts, widgets and apps. Putting your gmail settings back in is not hard, but annoying after you've done it for the 100th time. Mostly the hard part comes from trying to remember how my screens were setup. Titanium is great for apps, but you have to do them individually, and I have never found a way for it to backup account settings.. although this may be user error. I would love to try new roms as they come out but, knowing I will need to spend the rest of the day or night setting it all back up creates hesitation. I understand that with new roms comes new frame work and most data thrown back into a completely new rom can create issues, however it seems that some sort of program could automate this process to a point. So any suggestions, as I have been unable to find any on the forums when doing a search?

Titanium Backup is the way to go.
Once you upgrade to the paid version, you will not have to click "OK" for each app when restoring.
I was unaware that the paid version did so much. Will it retain the screen shortcuts / widgets as well as keeping general appearence settings? If it does a one click restore of all the apps, that alone may be enough, but I am always skeptical when it comes to purchasing an app, vs what they say it will do.
It can't store screen appearances but its worth it if you like to keep a lot of apps on your phone while trying new ROMS. An added bonus is that the backups store SMS history too.

I've tried the restore feature with Titanium back up and its a bit tiresome to click every application, by any chance theres a 1 click restore that is offered by some other applications? I dont mind paying for the app..
You can backup + restore in batch? At least with the full version.. I think its possible with free version as well..

Doubt it, the install screen when installing apps is kind of like a safety feature, so you know what's getting installed on your phone. I don't think there is an alternative to this at the moment.
Just buy titanium backup full, it gets rid of the single install. Thats point of full version
EarlZ - I have titanium backup PRO. Like what he said in the post before mine, PRO does have the feature you need.

I understand how to back up my apps and data through batching the files. But is there a way around clicking install on every app I am restoring. Thanks It is a pain in the butt to click install for 35+ apps.
Yep. With the paid version it is entirely automated.

Okay thank you so much..
I had no idea that this was the case when I upgraded, I just did it to donate, but when I hit restore the first time and then looked over after to see it all done, I was like . Best ever.
I'll be able to upgrade my phone in June and was wondering if I had to re-purchase apps on a new Android device. Does it depend on the app or can you re-download all of them, at no cost, to the new device?
Thanks in advance.
You can re-download those apps you paid for. Just sign in with the Google account you used to buy the apps.

It's done through your google account through the market
Since the Market uses your google account, as long as you login using the same Gmail address, you will be able to re-download purchased apps.

Thanks guys. The EVO was my first personal smart phone so I wasn't sure how that was handled. I was worried that you'd have to buy everything from scratch for each new device you owned.

As long as you sign in with the same google account in which you downloaded them under, yes.
And for the free ones, make sure you have them saved on your sd card and you can put those back on too! (or on computer and put them on your new sd)
I'm not sure if its possible or not, but I've always wondered if you upgrade your phone, if you can restore the data in an app from titanium backup. IE i made a backup of my lvl 30 character in zenonia on my evo, and I upgraded to the EVO 3D, or switched to the thunderbolt on verizon. Would You be able to restore the backup in titanium (after the phone is rooted ofc).

You should, just by restoring the app and data, not the system settings.

Awesome, that makes upgrading to a new phone a much easier decision, I have several apps that I have taken the time to put alot of data into, and would hate to re-enter that data.

Its the same technique you use when flashing and doing a clean install, you install the apps+data, just not system settings.
When I backup my app data using titanium, does it delete any old data and save the newer data over it or does it create separate files for the backups each time?

Believe if you have the PRO version, you can have multiple backups for a single app. If you have the free, it overwrites.

I'm sure it is. That'd be a big memory waster if it wasn't. Very few people would actually want this feature.
Don't have my phone beside me; but in Preferences you can set the maximum number of b/u's. Once you reach whichever number you set it to, it will begin to overwrite. As mentioned above, it does mean more space taken up, but there's an option (defaulted to "on" I believe) that backs up the apk once only, so you're not using even more space by continually backing up huge apps, but are backing up their associated data.
^a little long winded, when I'm tired I suck at explaining **** efficiently or even using periods instead of an explosion of commas.
