The latest update for Linpack takes longer to register results and I can't break mid 30s. I've used it with DC 3.5 and Fresh 3.1.0.1 with netarchy's latest. Is the app actually more accurate now or is this some sort of bug?

Its more accurate now.

Good from an accuracy standpoint, bad from a numbers standpoint
Sent from my HTC EVO 4G
I would rather see higher numbers since realistically its just for bragging rights. Oh well, thanks for the input guys.

Haha I have to admit I feel the same. Breaking the 40 mark is awesome

I just think they should reset the top devices list since they changed how its done how is it doing it now I think it runs it like 5 times then shows an average

My scores are around half of what the program says is average of the epic on 2.2. I'm running epic experience 2.0.07. Is it normal for me to have such low scores?

Damn that is low. Did you try killing all processes before you ran the test?

it does seem low, but i havent checked out EE to see what kind of tweaks he's made. pretty sure he converted to the Nexus S too so i'm not sure how much devving on the epic he's kept up with.
try a different ROM like quantum or bonsai, those perform really well. but i feel like i always notice that i get MUCH better scores on a clean install than when i restore all my apps and data, being that most apps run background processes and will eat up RAM. might even compare on a clean install on EE see how that affects your scores.
Yeah they are low.man I would try flashing another rom. I'm oblong bonsai now v. 2 and its really fast.

Yeah they're low. Compare your smartbench scores to some others here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=907111
Amosher i took your advise and went to bonsai it works great.

This makes XDA 100% better. Now I know what your thinking "That can't be possible!", but it is.
The app is more stable and it is exreamly sexy.
Try it now, search for it, you won't be disappointed.

Not a problem, I'm just trying to get more people using it so the dev keeps supporting it.
And on that note...

What the hell is this all about? Just wanted to play a game and I like my brightness turned up all the way. Ran into this and I've never seen it before. Any suggestions?

It's a precaution when the device starts to get too hot and brightness is very high. I only notice it while playing games for a while at a high brightness or on the rare occasion my battery gets hot when charging.
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
I figured something like that but chdecked battery temp and it was normal. I hadn't been playing games but i wanted to. And now My phone is not hot at all and it still won't let me change it. Very strange :O

Interesting. Are you on a new rom or have you been on whatever rom you're using for a while?
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
Yeah that was a thought of mine too. I've been on Calks for weeks now. But today i just flashed the undervolt 100 settings. So that could possibly be it. Only other thing i did today with the phone was add the GTA3 save in the other thread. Hmmm

Is your battery draining abnormally fast?
am I'm the only one losing a massive amount of battery lilfe everytime I restart with all of the ICS Roms be it AOSP or TW?
Because its a alpha/beta/leak using outdated kernels/modems from gingerbread?
wait for a OTA or RC

Had the same problem. Most processors and radios have low power modes, they are somewhat complex to implement and I suspect Samsung hasn't gotten to it yet (or finished it).

As far as I know, this is normal for a lot of Samsung phones regardless if you are on gb or ics... It happened when I was stock on my phone (for the first two hours lol) and my woman's og epic... It seems to even itself out after awhile.

No unnamed Rom battery was twice as better as this ics but it will take some time to tweak the kernel and Rom we just have to wait.

on CM9, if you install setcpu, and change your governor to on demand or conservative, your battery life goes up big time..
can't speak for these FB leaks, as, I am not going to install them for awhile..

Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda app-developers app
You gotta be kidding me? What else are you expecting we have pretty much every rom available there's no more for people to port or and issues ect. Fell free to upgrade but do not try to Blaim it on there isn't ehnough threads.
Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
Wasn't saying I'm going to upgrade or was I talking ****. Just saying this thread has slowed way down. People must have upgraded. I appreciate all the hard work the devs have done. So you sir can.......

i think the development threads are still busy, just hasn't been many updates in the past week. seems like there are some data issues with the latest CM nightly's, which i think might be keeping roms based on that from being updated for the time being... just my 2 cents.
Might be because most of the bus are worked out and everything is working good... I know there hasn't been much activity in my thread but there are over 450 downloads.
