What the hell is this all about? Just wanted to play a game and I like my brightness turned up all the way. Ran into this and I've never seen it before. Any suggestions?

It's a precaution when the device starts to get too hot and brightness is very high. I only notice it while playing games for a while at a high brightness or on the rare occasion my battery gets hot when charging.

I figured something like that but chdecked battery temp and it was normal. I hadn't been playing games but i wanted to. And now My phone is not hot at all and it still won't let me change it. Very strange :O

Interesting. Are you on a new rom or have you been on whatever rom you're using for a while?

Yeah that was a thought of mine too. I've been on Calks for weeks now. But today i just flashed the undervolt 100 settings. So that could possibly be it. Only other thing i did today with the phone was add the GTA3 save in the other thread. Hmmm

More like a gltch in a write to the battery log.
Unless you put it in your pocket around that time. :^)
Could I ask what app are you using to display the battery stats? I've heard of something called better battery or something like that, but I haven't been able to find it.
Thanks in advance.

His screenie is from the built on log. Go to settings/about phone/battery. BetterBatteryStats is a more in depth app that gives you more thorough statistics

I started using light flow led for my Galaxy nexus. I got my nexus on launch date for sprint and pretty sure battery is fine after so many days anyways I feel like my phone is dying too quick I'm 50% down in 1 hour screen on and about 4 hours unplugged my question is, have you use light flow led and has it cause any extra battery use?

I had bad drain from it whenever i had two notifications. I deleted, installed fresh and not with tb, left the settings alone and the problem had not returned so far.

Same issue here on my GS3, started a few days ago. Did u find a fix?
I don't know if you installed a vault app or if it came preinstalled with ParanoidKANGdroid, but the logo matches Vault by NQ Mobile Security from the Play Store.
Sorry haven't checked this thread in awhile. I haven't found a fix and am considering removing it to see the difference in battery life, but we all have our reasons for having it. Its a constant drain and the biggest. No mine did not come with a ROM, I downloaded it from play store. Im almost wondering if its stealth mode but I doubt it.

Im using a Note 2 and I put my vault in stealth mode and now I cant get it back. When in the dial pad the phone actually dials the number instead of taking me to the vault. And I cant remove it because I enabled the administrator so I cant uninstall it. Any help guys please inbox me

I'm rooted with jellybam v7.0.0 with bms kernel. I'd call my usage about medium. On my e4gt I could get 20+ hours of battery stock and unrooted. Why is my battery life so poor on the s3? It's actually frustrating. I have it set to underclock at 192-192 when screen is off and it's undervolted -25mA at every clock speed. My brightness is always on like 15% no matter what. I only have my data turned on when I'm using it, that's it. I don't even have any game apps installed. My screen timeout is 30 seconds. Anyone have any ideas here??

Wake locks maybe? Get a battery monitoring app like Better Battery Stats (you can get it for free here on xda)

Anthrax on clean bean 2.3 with cross breeder. Some Wi-Fi, data always on. Auto brightness.
Updating to 2.7 when it drops since I already have multi window.
Also use Bluetooth to stream audio, and gps&sync on.
Oh. And I'm completely debloated. Makes a sizeable difference.
Used a safe to remove list found some where here.

Sometimes I have noticed my phone does not deep sleep and runs continously at 200Mhz.. This happens randomly and I can't figure out what triggers it. I have checked BBM and there is no partial wakelock reported as well. So this is no app issue. When I go to my battery stats, the Android OS is the one keeping my phone awake for multiple hours on end. I have tried changing roms and kernels and I get the same problem once in a while. Is this a bug with the new 4.3 I update? It's important to note that this will happen randomly.. Some days it's fine other days it will start acting up... The only fix is to reboot.
Any ideas?
