Wasn't saying I'm going to upgrade or was I talking ****. Just saying this thread has slowed way down. People must have upgraded. I appreciate all the hard work the devs have done. So you sir can.......

i think the development threads are still busy, just hasn't been many updates in the past week. seems like there are some data issues with the latest CM nightly's, which i think might be keeping roms based on that from being updated for the time being... just my 2 cents.
Might be because most of the bus are worked out and everything is working good... I know there hasn't been much activity in my thread but there are over 450 downloads.

* cell standby * ( forgot the D in the topic ) What is it and why is it using up so much battery ? It is taking up 45 percent of my battery and my last reboot was about 24 hours ago.

Lol next your going to say your display uses up nothing compared to Android System and Cell Standby right?
Haha this is a known problem
You are right but why be a douche about it ? You could have just told me it was a known issue without the typical cool story brah cat pic. I see internet cool kids are still the same no matter what forum you use.

Oh goodness I'm sorry, I really didn't mean for it to come out that way, but I really couldn't resist
So I looked at your previous posts and I saw you asked the same question I did a few months ago. No one was a douche to you when you asked the same question so why be one to me ? Just because you know something someone else does not should not give you the right to be a douche to them.

I need a specific ROM that could fit my needs for my S3. I need something where I could either overclock my device, use the multiple apps in one screen (split screen or two apps on one screen), has Touchwiz 5.0, Jellybean, etc. I also want something with features similar to the Note 2 as well in a hybrid form. Thanks for any suggestions.
Serenity 1.2

Why not get a Note 2? It will satisfy all your requirements.
Serenity 1.2 on S3 is the closet thing right now, but Multiview is WIP.
Work in progress, oh ok, makes sense. Well I hope they get it done soon. Thank you. I just bought the Note 2 today for a family member.
How do you use Multiscreen?
Not really sure, but on videos I see, long hold back key.

Not working yet either. 1.2 is basically a port of a JB rom. Little things here and there but the features people are striving for are broken.

Please forgive me for asking what is probably a noob question:
For the last few weeks, perhaps since I upgraded to FI27, the google search doesn't pull up the contacts and local apps anymore. I can't figure out how to get it back. I've seen something about this feature bring removed from the galaxy III ... Did they do this to us as well? If not, can anyone point me to the correct setting for this? If yes ... Any workaround for this (I'm rooted, in case it matters).
Thanks for your help ... And again, my apologies if this is something I'm spoofed you figure out.

Apple can suck it! Can't wait the the USPTO finalizes the invalidation of apples patents on crap that shouldn't have gotten a patent in the first place.

Yea F&CK Apple.
But if you want to get Google to search your phone you'll have to use an older 'GoogleQuickSearchBox.apk'
Hint you might want to read this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1762570
I haven't used this in a while I'm quite happy with Google Now so far.
Good luck.

¡Puta Barca!
It's a paid app
Although it is available for free it is still a paid app in the play store

To me this is the kind of mod that affects hardware which I'm not comfortable with. I just would feel weird pushing my speakers beyond what they are designed for. I think a lot of people would rather have the option in like an Aroma installer than have it pushed to them.
Because not everyone needs it.
It's currently not working properly with JB as well, correct? That's what the dev says on the play store page...
I use volume + everyday. With jb, and it works fine. All the settings work as intended. I just figure everybody wants better quality music, and volume+ coupled with Dolby makes my phone sound great. Its loud and crisp with no crackles even with my processor running as low as it goes!!

Not everyone needs a lot of things that different Roms offer. I think having options is more desirable if they are worthy of use.

The Development section is like your shopping isle. It's unfair if you don't give other developers a chance based on what someone else says.

oh god why op -_-
just....wow
To the OP...I know you're new here so I will cut you some slack. If we havent scared you off already, just know for future reference that your question gets asked constantly here. And every single time, we tell them "just try them out and see for yourself". All the ROMs are good and you will get multiple answers from people because of that. And in the end, your question wont even be answered. So just start flashing and have fun modifying your phone.
10 bucks says the OP is back in the Q&A forum saying they can't get past the Google boot logo sometime today... :highfive:
I'm new to xda not to hacking, moding, flashing and tech in general.

Sir, being new....I would say, do some....no do a lot a reading thru the Development Section. And in the Q&A section to see what is being posted and then you make a run for yourself to start flashing...
Thanks.
