So 2.2 can't be rooted yet?

Not yet. The thread I pointed you to will be changed as soon as a root is made available.

Read the Wiki in the dev forum. You can root it yourself lol don't worry. Just do your research and follow the steps and you'll be fine.

No one click root. Like the person above stated, the wiki has all your rooting needs. To be honest, its very simple bro. Everything is step by step. Just make sure and read to get a good understanding.

Look through the dev section. They are about 3 ways to prem root/s-off your phone. I advice you to do the gfree way since its the safest but i did unforgivens way sinces its the fastest

The title says it all. I'm very greatful for all the other roms that our wonderful devs have been dishing out, but I would really love to see a Gingerblur rom on the myTouch 4g. I read in the past that TeamRoyal was working on it, but it could of been a rumor.

Hi
After some advice a friend has ask me to root their desire and when I tried to boot into recovery the following symbol came up! Has anyone come across this before? I have also attached the boot screen in case this helps. Thanks

Yeah that's just the stock recovery.. to be honest I don't see why people still use unrevoked if they're gonna change roms anyway... might as well s-off with revolutionary, back up and then flash.. its quicker too, and you get the bonus of s-off which makes "fixing" things A LOT easier.
Thanks for confirming, as for rooting with unrevoked it is the way I am happy doing it especially as this was only my 2nd go

Go here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/HTC_Vision
Click on the link for Rooting the Desire Z/G2 and follow the directions to the letter. It's the best and safest guide out there. Do not attempt to use Visionary or you will brick your phone.

Use the wiki either here at XDA or at CyanogenMod, they're both the same.

I'd doesn't matter which method of the two you use. Both of them are tried and tested and reliable. Have fun rooting!

Can anyone tell me is this method works on the G2 2.3.3, and if do how exactly do you use it. Thanks in advance.

Method for what? If it's a root method, the only recommended way is posted in the wiki here an on CM.
Sent from my HTC Vision using XDA App
Its a root method not for g2. I know it was first used on evo 3d and some others, but not for this phone....should of been obvious if you searched at all

Grow up and read the forum rules; search first, no name calling, keep it clean ... you've failed at those three alone.
