Sd-Card Problem - camera can not store files to card - Desire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello everybody!
Have an issue since i transfered some videos to the sd card of my desire.
When i start the camera-app or try to take a picture, there comes a errormessage.
Freely translated it says:
"can not store files to sd card, cause missing writing-privileges"
What can I do?
I tryed to reboot, took out the sd-card...
I can access the card in the phone with the ex-explorer, the music app, or the gallery.
So, whats wrong?
Thx for help!

[Q] Desire doesn't find media files on SDHC

Ok, here goes nothing.....
Sorry in advance if there's a thread with a similar problem, but I didn't find anything with the search function
Recently, I've installed the Cyanogen mod on my HTC Desire.
Since it only had a 2 gig SD card in it, and I want to use it to play music in my car, I decided to go for a 8 gig SDHC memory card.
Here's where it gets tricky....
Somehow, when I use the new memory card, the phone's applications don't see the media files on it. This goes for the music, ringtones, notifications and alarm sounds, even though they do show in de browser.
I've made a one on one copy of the files. Both with a card reader as with USB.
When I put the old card back in, the files are found by the device (or rather, by the applications).
Things I've checked so far:
- File locations
- File system (both FAT)
- Formatting the card.
Anyone got any suggestions?
(And off topic, sorry for the elaborate post )
Greetings,
G.Junit.

Camera, Screen Shot & Walkman cant access sd card

I have recently installed Xperia Ultimate HD 3.0.2 with Rush kernal V10 and everything was working fine, taking pictures, playing music etc. I have also deleted some software using Titainum to remove the dead weight. And recently i took some pictures but it says cannot save and i cant view thenm in the quick view on the camera software, but it does save them when i looking the gallery. If i try to video something is says 2 mins. at the bottom that suggests it cant recognise the SD card even though it is inserted and is trying to save on the internal memory. Also when i screen catpure is takes it and then says it cant be saved but again when i look in the folder in my gallery it is there. So these apps obviously cant recognise the sd card to save to it, for some reason. the Walkman app when i open it just says no music in the library...suggesting no SD card again! I can browse the SD card in File Manager, so the phone knows the SD card is there, just some of the apps dont realsie it is there, the apps on the sd card are all working fine. im not sure if i am missing someting or maybe i accidently delted somethiing important.
HELP!
Tried to reinstall the SD-card? One time I had a bad contact and the SD-card is not read.

[Q] Problem SD Card

Hi,
Yesterday I removed my SD Card (8G0) from my Desire, to listen to some music from another card. I knew that all my apk were on the first card, but I told me that it was just for the night, and that when I would put the card on again, all should be working fine.
This morning when I putted on the card, all my apk were here, but all the settings were default, and all my contacts have disappeared. Also I have some problems of memories even though I've partitioned my SD Card.
So, few questions, but important :
1) Why all my contacts disappeared ? I trusted that they were on the SIM Card...
2) Do I have to reinstall CyanogenMod7 to clear all my problems (some buttons like 'Home' or 'Search' don't work anymore) ?
3) Any ideas about the memory pbms?
Thank you so much for your answers guys, I'm waiting !

[Q] Storage card erased!

So I have a message that the storage card is empty or there is an unsupported file, and it asks if I want to format.
When I go into the gallery, the "camera" album no longer exists.
If I use Astro file manager, I can browse to several folders with files (but not my camera album). My camera was set save on the sd card and I previously had a bunch of pictures on there.
Now the camera does not even give me an option to save to storage card. It's just set to internal with no option to change that. It's like the camera doesn't recognize the sd card, even though Astro sees it (doesn't find any of the pictures taken with this device, but shows everything else).
This is the T-Mobile GS4 with the stock ROM.
I did recently reset the camera permissions (and all other permissions) in Opera Classic, do you think that might have something to do with it?
Anyone have any experience with this?
This might be my excuse to go get the note 3.
Don't format it. Try unmounting and re-mounting it. I got that message a few times on my s4 and there was never a problem with the card. Every time I removed it from my phone and put it into my computer, the files were still there safe and sound. The S4 is very touchy with certain SD card brands, but then again I even have SD problems with samsung cards when i was on the stock ROM. Ever since I went to CM, I've never had external storage issues.
Agreed, I had a Samsung card and a sandisk and have had a few scares. Take it out and put it back in, its all still there. Unless you really do have a bad sd card.. Its possible.

[Q] Pictures disappear

Hi, I have the htc one m8, stock rom on O2 uk. It's great phone and everything seems okay except sometimes photos and videos I take are there and then when I go to view them again in the gallery, in their place is an exclamation mark inside a triangle and I can't open them. This doesn't happen to all photos and videos just some and to be honest its quite annoying, I took some photos from my mum's birthday party and now they appear to be gone. The photos save automatically to my external sd card. When I connect the phone to my PC these photos and videos won't display or open. But they have different file sizes so I guess they're still there if that makes any sense.
Any help here will be greatly appreciated.
Looks like you have a corrupted external sdcard with bad sectors
Make a backup to pc.
Use a photo recovery program to retrieve them if possible
format the sdcard
try again take photo and see how it goes. Still bad, change sdcard.
Thank you I'll try it and let you know what happens.

I had this issue with a SanDisk card that seemed to be stuck in "read only" mode. I wasn't able to delete or write to the card but I was able to play read off the card. All my old camera photos, videos and saved mp3s played and copied over fine. All formatting methods have failed. Any way I can still salvage this card?
Had this same issue and I just ended up buying another sd card. OP let me know what the end result was....Still have the old 64Gb that I would like to salvage if I can.
