Is there any way to enable Google Navigation in non US/UK countries with Froyo? I found some instructions how to enable it, but they all were for older versions of Google Maps and I do not want to apply them to 4.3.1, which comes with Froyo.
- stock Froyo
- not rooted

Manual Updates to Install:
• Flash Player 10.1
• Google Search
• Street View On Google Maps
• Voice Search
Why is it that you have to manually search for these updates in the Market? They are already installed but you are not prompted for an update in the Market.
while using aosp rom (cm7) with google maps installed i cant use navigation because it says its not available in my country (croatia).
however, while i use google maps with gingerbread sense (insert coin) its fully working.
anyone knows why that happens, and how to enable it in aosp rom?
I'm using oxygen with oxygen hboot.
Just removed some ogg files and tts voice files to gain some free space.
Then go to Android apps section and find maps by ownhere.
Push it to system app dir.
That's it.
Take note that there are two versions, one for system app and one for regular install. System one is better.

I'm looking for modded Google Maps. I have found 5.3.1 for galaxy 3 but I can't install it on my DHD? I have installed 5.2.1 correclty but I can upgrade to 5.3.1. Everything from: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=991654 .
After I updated to PA 4.1 and the latest GApps, Google Keyboard support has been lost. I tried installing it from the play store but it says Device is not compatible. Has anyone faced this issue? Any solutions? I need the stock swype feature from Google Keyboard very badly. Third party swype apps don't work for me.
Read the Gapps thread.
If you have aosp keyboard, apparently the Google one shows as unavailable
The Gapps thread has the keyboard as an addon

Am wondering, if we're running the official miui global ROM, can we flash stock open gapps so that the basic apps will be replaced by the Google's ones?
Have anyone tried?
Reason being, to fully utilise Google Assistant, all basic apps (clock, calendar etc) require the Google's ones.
If you're on MIUI Global you should already have Gapps baked into the system.
You won't be able to use Google Assistant without some system mods (a build.prop tweak I think) as that's a Pixel only feature.
If there are any Google apps you're missing, like Calendar, Books, etc. you can install them from the play store, and they'll work seamlessly.
