(Q) Phantom Call

Can someone explain this phantom call issue with the uber z rom?
What is it? Places outbound calls without your knowledge?
When does it happen?

Its random; inherent in all Z-based ROMs

Phantom is not actually the right word for it. What it actually is, is a dropped call. Not dropped in the sense of a completely dropped call. It drops for a couple of seconds and comes back. Very infrequent by the way.

Problem Lately

My phone has been hanging up whenever someone calls me during a call. It's doing this on CM7, Stock rom, and the new leak. I don't know why it's doing this. Have anyone else been having this problem? The phone doesn't beep it just disconnects the call.

I haven't...just called my girl last night, on nightly 39, no problems. No rogue app enabling your data during the call? And I'm sure you installed fresh?

I installed after a full wipe, no mods, and installed about 5 apps downloaded

I had this problem. I was starting to think maybe it was an issue with the rom I'm using... (Destroyer Rom v2) Turns out each time I tilted the phone at just the right angle the screen would come back on and my cheek would hit the end button. Not saying this could be your problem but just sharing my experience.

[Q] Problem with radio?

Hey guys, I've been having a problem with my Evo for the past couple of weeks that doesn't seem to change no matter which ROM I'm running. Basically what happens is when I'm on a long phone call, as soon as the call timer hits the 30:00 minute mark then the conversation cuts out and all I hear is the busy signal tone and have to hang up the call. I've tried wiping and reflashing and it hasn't changed; it literally happens every time I'm on a call for thirty minutes. For the past few weeks I've been running MikGinger 2.0/2.1 and today changed to Synergy RC1 to see if it corrected the issue but it didn't. I've always done full wipes between ROMs so I'm kind of at a loss. I'm on PRI 2.15 and PRL 60679 if that makes any difference. Any ideas?

Can anyone help me out with this problem? I've searched all over this forum, the General forum, and all over Google. The only things I can think of is that its a Sprint+GV integration problem (not likely since I've been using it for months with no problem) or a PRI/radio issue. If anyone has any suggestions I'd really appreciate it.

Maybe your phones trying to tell you to shut up haha jk but if its every rom then maybe android was made to do that? I personally haven't experienced this because i don't talk on the phone for more than like 1 min at a time haha ill test it and get back to you sometime later in the day.

On call screen outage

For some reason when I am on a call I cannot get my screen to come back on. When the call ends the screen comes back on but while I am on the call if I get a text message I cannot look at it. I dont get anything other than a black screen until the person hangs up the phone. Even when I am calling someone if they dont answer and the voicemail comes on I have to pull the battery out in order for the phone to hang up. I am using pac man rom the latest update. I also tried flashing a kernal ktoonz to be exact and I still had the same problem. Someone please help me to finding out how to fix this problem.

I've had this happen with different ROMs. I've never figured out what causes it, but it doesn't happen enough to worry me. Sometimes if you undervolt your phone, it has a hard time waking up. I really don't have an answer, but good luck.

Black Screen/mic issue

Hi everyone,
I am having an odd issue. Regardless of the rom I use, very often when either I make a call or receive a call my screen will go black as soon as I answer it or it connects.
The problem though is, i Can't get the screen to go back on until the call disconnects. If I do get the screen to go on by mashing the buttons, the second I get back to the screen that shows the call it goes black again.
Also, at the same time when this happens, people cant hear me, it sounds like I'm in a tunnel according to them. I literally have to scream. The only way I can take call normally is hope it doesnt go black instantly and switch it to speaker phone. Then it works fine.
I am currently running carbon 4.4.2, but its not a rom issue in my opinion as this was happening when I ran Liquid and paranoid.
Any ideas, its getting to the point where its getting very annoying.

I'd Odin to stock.
And start customizing my phone 1 step at a time to see if something I had running was causing the problem.

Well, guess we will never know because I accidently dropped my stapler on my phone and now its totally busted lol ..already got a new one on the way
