I've tried many versions of flash including the official one and the nexusflash which is supposed to make Hulu work. I've cleared my browser cache and reinstalled, rebooted, cleared cache, dalvik cache, and even tried clearing data as I saw someone else say it would work. Nothing works, the browser just erratically exits after about 5 minutes of watching a flash video. sometimes the screen turns off too. it wasn't always like this though. anyone know how to fix this?

are you using the stock browser? i've had no problems at all using flash on it. i don't know if dolphin/dolphinhd/skyfire/opera properly implement flash video. i'm not saying they don't, i just don't know if they do.
yeah I'm using the stock browser. I had to flash to the official OTA update because it doesn't crash on that.

Hi all,
I'm having an issue clearing my YouTube cache. Namely, it won't clear.
I have a stock G2 and the YouTube cache is hovering around 491MB, so I'd like to clear it. However, when I click the "clear cache" button, nothing happens.
I've tried downgrading back to the stock version of YouTube and clearing again, but to no avail. Has anyone else had this problem or does anyone else know how to fix it?
Thanks!
Verison LTE Gnex.
Rooted with CWM installed. I can successfully flash any 4.0.2 or 4.0.3 ROM and everything works fine. Typical wipe dalvik, cache partitions, data, and /system. But after a few minutes, if I touch any of "my apps" in Market I get a force close of Market. I've tried going to settings/apps/all and wiping Market cache and data. Still a no go. Market is FC on 4.0.2 OTA also, now. I tried fixing permissions inside CWM and that did not help.
If I uninstall Market updates in settings/apps/all ("back to factory version"??), then Market will work for a few minutes, then revert to the same behavior.
I am attaching a logcat of the Market force close. If anyone can decipher this and provide some recommendations, I would appreciate it very much.
Edit: FWIW, I first noticed this problem when I was running Google's 2-step verification process. This got to be a PITA each time I flashed a new ROM (there's so much new candy in the store!). So, I turned 2-step off. Didn't seem to make a difference with this problem, though.

In the past few days my EVO 4G has started to have an issue with installing or updating apps from the PLAY STORE (Market). It will download to 100% but never start the install process. If I press cancel and then use root explorer to find the app download and then click on it, I get a PARSE ERROR. what is causing the google play store not to start the install process after download? I have tried clearing dalvik cache, regular cache,. play store data and cache, google services fraimwork data, download manager data.. nothing make it start the install process...
Any help would be appreciated.....
Update: I just tried to download and an update.. it got stuck sat 100% .. I am using MIKG 3.11 ROM ... I used task manager and CLICKED the X next to the play store and it then started to install the update.. what is causing this? This trick doesnt always work....

I've had this sort of issue on other ROMs before, but they never seem to be persistent. Reflashing is usually my solution...
Try clearing your cache first through recovery?

if you saw what I wrote, I did clean the cache.. and I am NOT reflashing... I dont think its a issue with my flash as it has been working for months.. this just started a few days ago. HOWEVER it seems if I let it download to 100%, then wait a few minutes then kill the play store (market), then it installs the app or the update
any other ideas??
Well this is a quite common issue, as you can see HERE, I actually helped this guy with the same problem, but just found out that the reinstall of gapps is just a temporary fix and the reboots when uninstalling apps just come back, especially with the new playstore update to the version 4.1.6 so, anyone knows a clear solution? So far I have tried: Reinstalling ROM, reflashing gapps, wipe cache and dalvik and 3 different kernels, the issue just keeps coming back.
Bump for justice, as it still happens...
up..?
Hi,
since abut 3 or 4 weeks I've more and more problems with my Z2. I'm on stock 8.0.0, not branded, pure Moto. One of my problems is, that Play Store updates get downloaded but then do not install. When I reboot my phone the app update which got previously downloaded installs and the the process got stuck again. Some time suddenly two or tree apps get updated. The the problem starts over. I've tried every thing I've found e.g. clearing Play caches etc. nothing helped.
Edit: a closer look showed that the download hangs at the last few bytes but some times it downloads to 100% but just does not install.
Any suggestions?
TIA

Try stopping the play services and store app, clear data and cache, then try again. If that doesn't see if the issue is with wifi or data, switch one or the other off then try updating or installing an app, see if the problem is connection specific. You can also try clearing the phone cache from storage as well. I know these are trivial suggestions, but it never hurts to double check. Might clear your storage cache and check the permissions as well.

Thanks. Tried all this already. May be it's liked to my WiFi problem as it seems to be "better" now. If the problem persists I think I will try to factory reset it ...
