Hi,
Anyone that knows at which settings A2DP is operating by default?
Bitpool?
Samplerate?
Where could those settings be altered? "\system\etc\bluetooth"?
jmelhus
I'd be interested in improving A2DP audio quality as well - some tracks really suffer via bluetooth.
It'd be nice if there was a way to play mp3 files directly, rather than having to transcode them to SBC first...

Yes.
There's another post about this here.
thanks for the info, didn't know about that
Thought it was just me!
Yeah - the high frequencies like cymbal crashes are distorted.
Nice I'm not the only one then
Gave a try looking into the source code, but were'nt able to clarify it... Maybe someone else that's more experienced?
Sorry folks, but I were'nt able to post a URL in this forum because I'm a new user (half a year) and my account is not reviewed yet

Hey guys,
This is an application for the iPhone where you can play and mix tracks into each other, just like with dj decks or dj software and I am wondering if it could be ported to Windows Mobile devices and if so then would someone be interested in doing it?
Also, if you get the application on an iPhone it is only limited to ten tracks from the artist 'Deadmau5' and you can't add and use your own music files in the application, but if someone ported this application for Windows Mobile devices then I'm sure it would easily be possible to tweak it so you can use your own music files?
Please spread the word about this as I would love to see and use this on a Windows Mobile device!
If you know of anyone who would be interested then please point them to this thread.
Please see the links below for more info on the application.

I would also be interested in such an application
Looks like a cool app.
to be honest i'd be happy if WMPlayer had a couple of visualizations and some basic crossfader... well happy might be a bit strong, but it would be a start... make it touch interactive visualizations and we're on the right track lol.
im a user of virtual dj that works very well,do you think it is possible to change it to make it work on mobile device or is this impossible?i mean a good developer???
Dj party mixer for winmo
Have you tried DJ Party Mixer for Windows Mobile? It appears to be a winmo version of Virtual DJ.
Using a phone to mix with is never gonna work. As far as I know there are no such phones with 2 audio outputs which means you can listen to the next track to cue it up while playing the first track. Watch a DJ mixing, they're listening through headphone and speakers at the same time.
If you're using Virtual DJ on a PC then you should have 2 sound cards or a sound card that is capable of outputting 2 seperate audio channels (not just left and right).

When i transfer videos i recorded with my Evo to my computer there is no audio. When i play them on the phone everything works fine. Is there a setting i dont know about? Anyone else having this problem?

My guess is you don't have the proper codec installed on your computer. Your homework is to find out what codecs the Evo uses (for whichever format you're recording) and then install a compatible codec on your PC.

That is most assuredly what the problem is. Look for an mp4 codec. (generally the one that you need unless you are doing some different formatting)

Darn...I was going to play trouble shooting 101.

"Did you try turning up the volume?"
damn headphones!
The volume was up but I had the damn headphones were plugged in! Just kidding. I just installed a codec package and its all good. My computer is 6 months old so its kinda weird it didn't already support mp4 audio.
Depending on the system, it may not have had a lot of multimedia programs (and, thus, codecs) installed. If you ask me, the world of AV codecs has gotten far too large and forked. There should be a standard or set of standards, at least for matching codecs and containers and all that crap. Glad you got it, though.
I love the stock music player that came with my galaxy s because of it's ability to play music in 5.1 ch.
However, I have now flashed the latest MIUI to my sgs but the music player is not able to play music in 5.1 ch, so I was wondering if anyone of you guys know an app that can do this?
Thanks
5.1ch is just a sound effect. You can get it on any player app with basic tweaks to the equalizer settings.
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
Ah, I see. Does anyone have any tips on how to achieve this with an eq?
Sent from my Computer using My Keyboard
With 5.1ch people usually mean that instead of stereo (which is 2 channels, left + right) you have 4 additional channels (Center + Back left + Back Right + LFE or Bass (.1))
Your phone only has one speaker so I'm not sure how you want to achieve this.
The audio output is only capable of sending out stereo as well.
A source file with multi-channel audio is usually in *.vob format (DVD video format) but I know of no player that will show this on Android (except for the Archos Gen8 stock video player).
Audio only files would typically be in *.wav or *.ac3 format but same here, I know of no player that will play these multi-channel streams.
Perhaps I misunderstood your question?

im sure you can find a port for the stock galaxy s player in this forum

The stock galaxy s music player was able to simulate 5.1 ch (when headphones were plugged in) which provided a very nice boost in sound quality. What I'm looking for is either a port of that music player to MIUI or another music player that is able to do the same thing (or some eq settings that does it would also be fine).

That option is a load of bull XD.When you listen you only have 2 speakers assuming you are using earplugs which makes 2.0 the highest you can achieve. You shouldn't bother about it... just a stupid tweak that imho makes the sound sound worse...
your comment is a load of bull.. no offence here. But the guy is asking for something dont tell him if its bad or not. He likes it other people like it some dont like it you find it bull. But he doesnt comment you on that does he?

And yes i find the sound nice to. And like other people said there are ways to get this trough EQ settings but so far i havnt got it the same as the stock player one

All I was saying that the option is stupid and it's fake it doesnt provide 5.1ch surround sound and I thought he was thinking that and I was helping his out of his dream (read his 3rd post... this is the case here..). If this is the case my comment is valuable if this isn't well.. he'll just do nothing with the information... It's a win anyway, he has nothing to lose, playing around with a EQ is way better ;/. Install voodoo sound tbh if you want a good musical experience...

The 5.1ch option was not stupid, even though it was fake. It made the sound much clearer and better on all headphones I used.
Will look into voodoo sound, thanks for the tip.
I had 5.1 available when I was using a gingerbread version I got from here. Now I can't seem to find one Pretty sure it was Calkulon or something along those lines. It was way better sound (with headphones) in my opinion, so I'm trying to find a current version that will deliver that "fake" surround
Epic touch 4g sprint running 4.1.2
On a side note, I got Jellybean using a vid a watched from QBking77 on youtube, and he references you guys alot.
There are some bugs with Jelly Bean... For instance my mic cuts out when I hold the phone to my face and the screen goes off. Bluetooth headset... NOT A CHANCE lol. On speakerphone i can talk just fine. Headset, works great too. Sometimes I have to pull the battery because the screen dims. But for the most part, it works great.
I just got my G3, which I've been eagerly awaiting. Main reason I bought this was my understanding it would support 192kHz/24 bit audio like the G2. However, any attempt to play anything higher than 96kHz, plays back in MONO.
I have just spent 90 minutes with T-Mo support and then LG - both were clueless. So I hoping some of you kind folks would check this out on your phone, if you can.
Hi-res files that play fine on my PC, play in Mono on the G3. The same file converted to 96kHz/24bit format play in stereo. I am using WAV annd FLAC files. Thanks to all! - FRUSTRATED NEW OWNER
Have you read this? http://people.xiph.org/~xiphmont/demo/neil-young.html ?
Apparently humans can't even hear the difference. It's more of a gimmick.
What kind of headphones are you using that you think 24/192 will benefit you?
I'm not sure why it's not working though.

Argh... Why'd you go and post that article? I just spent 15mins reading it all and it's soooooo long.... :crying:
Don't get me wrong, it's informative and predicated on evidence and I was curious, but soooooo long. And I actually read it all. Why did I do that?
Now I think I'm hearing things.... :silly:
Sorry to go OT, but the sounds told me to do it. :victory:

I really don't want to get into a discussion of the value of 24/192 - it's a feature that I paid for and frankly the thing that sold me on the LG. And I am amazed that even LG Tech Support is clueless as to whether this is supported or not... I had to educate them about sampling rates!
So, I downloaded a 3rd party player (Neutron) and another which I can't recall. They WERE able to play my hi-res files in stereo, so it appears Google Play is buggy.

So the native G3 music player is what's buggy? Not the G3 hardware itself, correct?

Yes, my 24/176k files I loaded played in stereo using two different 3rd party players; but in mono using the stock Google play app. :good:

Good point! Hopefully LG fixes the stock app.
Google Play isn't the stock music app. My G3 plays the files in stereo with a hi-def tag for anything over 96k
Hopefully this is the correct forum to ask. I have a Pixel 3 XL 128GB with the latest update which I hope it has fixed the audio problem, but actually it doesn't. Is there any way to make Pixel sounds good on music and video playing? Currently I connect it to my Harman Kardon Nova via bluetooth stream. Already tested with many equalizer apps and none of them help it. As for comparison, my old Xperia Z5 sounds much more better than the Pixel. Thanks

Same problem with my white Pixel 3xl 128g,
When i play a video in YOUTUBE for example, it sounds deep, and when i pause then play it quickly it changes the quality to normal treble. kind of annoying that i have to pause and play every time i start a video.
I saw a post about this either here, or on Reddit about this and I'll be damned if I can find it! It had a possible resolution. I'll keep ya posted if I find it! The only issue with audio I'm getting is with Bluetooth. Volume being extremely low..

I have experienced no issues with BT audio? I use my P3XL in multiple cars, two bt speakers, headphones, and one tv sound bar. I think it sounds fantastic, even when streaming low bandwidth from Spotify or Pandora. Have no need anymore for flac or even mp3 to be resident on the phone. Does your HKN support HD audio, and is it enabled in bt settings? Specifically, which other bt devices are you using it with? What are your music/video sources? Has it been like this since day one, or did it develop later?

I don't think it's my Harman Kardon Nova's problem. I also tried with Audio Technica ATH DSR7BT which has HD and APTX, it sounds better on my Xperia rather than Pixel 3. This afternoon I'm waiting for Sony WH1000XM3 and let's see how it perfoms with Pixel 3.
