Im trying to unroot my HTC Evo I got a few days ago. I was fully rooted with damagecontrol ROM and now I want to unroot it. I tried the RUU_Supersonic_1.32.651.1_Radio_1.39.00.04.26_release_171253. I tried running that and it failed plus my phone went into a boot loop. I flashed my phone with Supersonic_1.32.651.1_rooted and it booted completely. I guess thats a good thing.
The question is how do I restore this phone back to factory stock like it came directly out of the box from Sprint?

Find a SHIPPED ROM, and flash it.
You should be good to go from there.

This is really my first time posting unfortunately, but here's what happened.
I have an Incredible that I purchased back when they were only available for preorder. I've had it rooted with 2.2 running Virtuous rom and king kernel since they basically were released. Everything has been running great. Today I woke up though and unplugged the phone from the charger and the phone rebooted itself. I thought, ok it does this every so often so I didn't think anything of it. Ten minutes later it's still stuck at the HTC INCREDIBLE white screen and hasn't moved from there. I can boot into hboot, but no clockwork recovery. When trying to boot into recovery it just goes to the white start screen as well.
I tried clearing user data from hboot and I tried updating the radio, and nothing seems to do it. I'm stumped. Is there any way to recover a phone that's stuck on this screen? I've got a replacement coming, but for future reference I would love to know how to fix it, if at all possible.
Any ideas?
So in reading your post, I gathered this information- You were running a 2.2 Virtuous rom on a radio baseband of 1.x? Is that right?
Did you try getting a complete stock RUU file and installing it via HBOOT?
Sounds like your partitions are screwed up. There is another thread about this in the Q&A.
Hi all,
I was running CM7rc3 for quite a while and wanted to see what 2.3 was like with sense so I flashed back to my backup to stock and attempted to update, didn't work, tried the unroot process and stuff, still couldn't get it going, so I thought f it and tried to put CM7 back on. I turned S-OFF and what not, went into clockwork recovery, cleared the data/cache installed from zip.
It said installed and I rebooted, only to have the HTC logo come up and it hung there for 40 mins before I took the battery out and tried again... Still no luck.
So now I can't boot my phone and I have lost my original back up.
I have recently moved cities and really need my phone up asap.
What can I do?
all good, managed to find a stock rom online for my service provider and get it going again
Now I know what your going to think. Oh god heres another person who's phone is in a bootloop. He hasnt read anything and is trying to get some help. Ive been on these forums since the G1 came out and I've been flashing roms since the first Cyanogenmod. Im stumped. I used the Nexus toolkit to root and unlock my freinds Nexus. Everything went well considering I was using his horrible excuse of a laptop. I accidentally dragged the wrong file onto the nexus and when I tried flashing it, it got stuck in a bootloop. I couldnt mount the sd from clockwork mod so I continued to use ODIN and flashed back to 4.0 It booted up beautifully I got the first update that puts it on 4.0.4 then the second update that puts the system on 4.1 The problem is now that after I do the ota update it gets stuck into a bootloop just as it did when I first flashed the original file by accident. It stays stuck at the X logo screen. Ive tried to ODIN back to 4.1 it wont allow it it stays at the X just as if I did the OTA update. I tried flashing cyanogenmod same problem. I checked up on the radio and although I dont have it now I remember It was compatable with the jellybean update. Im stumped. If anyone can give me a hand please do ive checked across all forums tried doing what theyve said but im always back to this damn X logo!!!!

I was messing with my Gs2, trying out some new roms (it has been rooted and custom flashed since i got the phone a while ago) and ended up with a soft brick getting stuck at the Samsung screen during boot. No big deal I though (since this is my backup phone I didnt worry about it) and planned on flashing back to stock with Odin and starting over. I flashed the stock 4.1 via odin and it all seemed to go fine, but when it rebooted it got stuck at the same samsung screen. I left it there for like 20 minutes and it never booted. I then downloaded the stock 4.0 and same thing. I am about to try going back in time to the stock 2.3 and see if i can work my way forward from that, but if it doesnt work, what is the cause of the phone not being able to boot after all these stock flashes?

Im stuck in the same boat with my S4
which ODIN version are you using and are you using the links from SAMMOBILE to get the firmware you need ? also what are your methods of procedure and is odin giving out any errors or saying pass and still no boot ?
Hello all, I recently rooted my HTC One M8 from T-Mobile and flashed a GPE ROM with TWRM recovery. Everything was successful, no big deal at all. I decided a little awhile ago that I would like to get the factory updates, so I decided to install the original GPE recovery. I installed the recovery file "recoverygpe.img" through ABD and FASTBOOT. All was successful, rebooted my phone and decided to install the updates OTA and when my phone went to reboot it and install the updates the screen went black and the little android icon popped up with a red triangle over his stomach. Now my phone won't load past the HTC powered by android screen and my ABD and FASTBOOT won't work at all. I feel helpless probably shouldn't have attempted doing this. BTW I'm using a Mac. If I need to run over my phone and get a new one I will.
Nah you don't have to run over it, okay? Look, just do this:
First, are you s-off or s-on?
