fm radio with bluetooth? - EVO 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

i know the evo uses a wired headset for the antenna, so im guessing its not possible to use the built in fm radio while using a stereo bt headset?

First, this is a Q&A question, not a Developer question...
That being said, No, you would not be able to use the FM radio through Bluetooth. It requires the wired headset to be used as an antenna.

just get radiotime and ou'll be able to listen to radio with your your Bluetooth headset.

[Q] fm radio app

I was wondering if anyone know of an app that would allow you to use the fm transmitter on the evo to push a signal to another fm radio?
So, basically you would be able to connect your phone to a car radio.
Would this even possible with the fm radio on the evo?
AFAIK, the FM radio is only for receiving. there has not been an implementation of FM broadcast (yet). I don't know that it is on any dev's "to-do" list either.

[Q] Radio Broadcasting App?

Like the devices you plug into your ipod or such.
Is there an app that can broadcast your music to a specific fm frequency to play in a car?

The Bluetooth chip in the epic is capable of receiving FM radio but not transmitting.
Unfortunately the receiving feature is disabled from lack of drivers.
You will have to get one of those FM devices.
If you're more of an audiophile, I'd skip the FM device and check if your stereo has an auxiliary input.
I went this rout with Voodoo sound installed; Very satisfied.

[Q] Bluetooth headphones and FM radio

Hello,
I own a bluetooth headphones that works perfect with music players, but I have problems with the FM radio. When I turn it on, it says I need a normal wired headphones to act as antenna. That is OK; I plug one, and it starts the radio, but when I make a bluetooth connection with the headset, radio says it is incompatible and can not run with bluetooth connectios.
I have also probed Spirit FM radio that says it is compatible with bluetooth, but I have not been able to get it to work.
Does anybody get it to work a bluetooth headphones with FM radio?
(I want to use FM, no stream internet radio. It eats my data plan as I listed to radio a lot).
Thanks

[Q] Media device controllable by android that connects via Bluetooth

I wasn't sure how to condense this into a title. I am looking for a device similar to the lingo ivy (which I can't find for sale).
I would like a device that has a built in fm radio reciever tuner that I can connect to via Bluetooth and control from my android tablet. I Would also like this device to receive streams from my tablet for my own music.
I plan on using this for a carputer, I was thinking of using a Bluetooth speaker with built in fm function and hacking it up so I can connect the bt speaker wires to an amp and then to my car speakers but I can't find one
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
