Can't install eWallet Viewer because A2SD - Desire General

After installing new rom with A2SD+, Ican't install eWallet viewer (a great application to store passwords).
The application needs access to the SD card (in order to sync the .wlt file), so the USB cable must be connected to the PC as Disk Drive.
BUT, because of this - there is no access to the eWallet application (which installed automatically on the ext partition).
Is there any solution?
Can I force eWallet to be installed on the internal memory even with A2SD+ ?

Maybe you are not using A2SD+.

Maybe you can move the app back to the phone?

I am using Miri's v2.0 custom ROM built on Froyo, it's built into froyo, you have to go to an install app tell it to load all programs to SD card. I am running all my apps from SD card and eWallet works great.

Managing application

Can anyone tell me where do normally Desire install the application? is it to the SD or the internal memory?? I try to find the setting where you can choose to store install application, but just cant find it? I am running short on internal memory and want new app install on SD? In windows mobile, you can set in the marketplace where you want those application install (such as storage or internal) even when you install application (it will pop up where you want them install). But just cant find it in the setting for Market in android?

With the Desire, apps that are downloaded from the Marketplace are stored in Internal memory and not on the SD card. Unfortunately, unless the Desire is fully rooted (also with system write access), we cannot install apps on the SD card.
Additionaly, we would also need a compatible version of Apps2SD to be developed for the Desire, which allows the installation of apps to the SD card.

Where are the widgets stored. Are you using AP2SD+ or Android's A2SD? In the latter case the widgets are stored on the FAT32 partition of your SD-card which gets mounted on your PC.... causing you to loose access to them.
NextSense uses AP2SD+ I believe, and I have chosen external as install path...

.. so when the sd card is unmounted you lose them!
they go back when you mount the sd card again. if you dont want to lose them transfer them to phone.
all widgets should be on phone memory
if ur using apps2sd+ you dont even need mod install location, thats why the nextsence rom dosent come with it, unintall it and copy everything back to ur device problem solved

Accessing Phone Memory(Internal SD) In My Defy

hello everyone
i bought a moto defy 2 days ago and i have a question
how to access and save on internal sd(i mean save on the 2gb internal memory)because ever since i inserted my 4gb memory card everything automatically get saved on the external sd/memory card even applications automatically install in memory card although i have android 2.1 not 2.2!
and when i try to save on internal memory i get an error msg!
any idea why??
anyone?????????
No idea, sorry! Just curious where apps are installed in the sd, which folder?
The internal memory is not normally accessible, to access it on the phone you have to root the device and use terminal or RootExplorer.
Or you can use adb via desktop.
Finally, the official app2sd method use encryption to prevent the apks easily readable. You may use the mount command to find out more (if you've rooted).

[Q] move app+data to external 64g card

Hello,
My device sm p605 rooted by de la vega root method.
I m looking for a method to move my app+data on my external sd card. I tried many methods but no one is working with my device.
I tried:
- link2sd partioning external sd card into 1st partition fat32 + 2nd in ext2: It generates a script with shortcut linking but after reboot when I launch linked app It collapses with message of incompatible device blablabla.
- mount folder: doesnt work and not free
- Directory bind doesn t work?
So if someone succeeded in moving app + data on external card, It would be very helpfull he explain the good method. Thank you.
FolderMount works for me.
Try settings -> General -> Application manager -> (swipe left) SD CARD -> Checkbox any app you with to move.
If it is check marked, it should now on the SD card instead. I know for fact this moves the app itself, but haven't tested to see if it moves the data too. This is the native App2SD introduced in 4.3, hope that helps.

That only moves the app & data to the /sdcard/ partition, which is on internal memory, not on the actual microSD card, which is mounted as /extSDcard/.
Folder Mount works great and is free. I haven't tried to move the APK's folder with it, as I'm pretty sure that would break stuff badly (boot-loops when apps try to launch during startup), but the APK's are usually not that big and you can have tons of apps installed on even the S4 16GB which only gives you 9GB to start with (I have something like 30GB of apps installed on mine). The majority of the data used by apps lives in /android/data/obb/ and /android/data/data/ which you can move. I have ran into boot-loops moving some folders because an app (especially GameLoft ones) try to launch on boot but they launch before FolderMount has a chance to mount folders, so they crash the OS and send you into a boot-loop until you remove the SD card. That's on my Note 10.1 (2014). On my Galaxy S4, I don't have any boot-loops and I'm redirecting more than I am on my Note. You can stop apps from starting on boot using Gemini App Manager or Autorun Manager (can only control up to 10 apps with free version), so that's a good solution for the boot-loop. Not sure why so many folders cause boot-loops on my Note when they don't on my S4, but whatever. Maybe the S4 mounts the SD card and the FolderMounts faster, or it has something to do with the JellyBean's ROM on the S4.
Anyway, use Folder Mount. I don't know of any other valid solutions.

If you have Xposed Framework installed, Boot Manager is the best autorun manager. Simple and to the point.

Lineage os no option to move apps to SD card

Hi all
I successfully updated to the latest nightly build 8/3/17 how ever I have no ability to move app data to my SD card. My sd card is seen under storage and I have files on it.
I also have twrp 3.0.2.0 but get a kernel is not seandroid enforcing error and can't charge whilst off. I have no loop issue the unit work's OK otherwise.
The lineage is rooted, I would welcome any advice.

Interesting if you boot into trwp can that see your sd card? So under storage the sd card isn't visible at all? Have you tried formatting it?

Yes, I can see it fine under TWRP. I thought maybe it couldn't recognize exFAT, so I formatted it to EXT4. But it's still not showing up at all.

That is weird, do you have another android peripheral that you could prospectively format the card in and try? Alternatively you could wipe and reinstall. I blew away the android internal storage and installed from my SD, just about everything works except the sd storage option. That's an issue storage and app wise so I may go back to marshmallow lineageos if I can't sort it.
Failing that back to stock lollipop should that fail.

I don't have another android device, but I do have a linux machine, (actually, I only run Linux in my home), and I can read and write the card no problem in my desktop machine. I haven't tried it on my HTPC/Plex server yet, but I don't see why it wouldn't work. On stock Lollipop, I can see the card, but it's read only. Oh, I should have been clearer. I can see the card on the tablet, but it doesn't display anything. It says "contents not found", and I can't enable writing to it for Root Explorer.

That is weird you got me stumped, other than a rebuild I got nothing. Try the card in a mate's phone if possible better than wiping the unit first.
If that doesn't work I got nothing. Truth be said I'm no expert, I try my best.
Hi all
I updated the Lineageos ROM the AOSP I had no hardware issues or software issues on the OS. However please note that if you use this ROM for some reason you will lose the TWRP Recovery.
I installed the AOSP ROM 7.1.1 first, didn't reboot and then installed the Gapps file, upon reboot it stayed on the splashed screen, so I then booted into the standard recovery and wiped/factory reset the unit, all good since and it is running smoothly, just wanted you to let you know that the Lineage ROM isn't the only option.
I also had the options for the SD card and UI System tweak was also there, good luck. If anyone wants assistance I am happy to assist.
Soks

Hey mate I found an alternate fix and everything works, look at AOSP rom and let me know if you have any questions.
Soks
I have also a problem with the SD card. I have the newest build and the SD card is seen in the settings and also in file manager can read/write, but other apps somehow don't see it, I cannot set the camera to save photo to external storage, also in Google play music I cannot choose to store music to external card, the options are not there. On my Galaxy S5 also with Lineage it works perfectly. Secondly, in the settings I can only format the SD card as portable, not as internal, but that would not bother me if the apps would see the card and I could use it as storage.
Solution for sd card write issue?
Did you ever find a solution? I have the same devices and exactly the same problems.

Have the same problem on my SM-P605 - have had problem since at least the 20170713 nightly build when I started using LineageOS (am currently running 20170830 nightly).
The SD card appears under settings - I can format and eject the SD card, it appears under /mnt/media_rw/76AC-17ED, but
doesn't appear as a SD card in Amaze file manager
doesn't appear as a SD card in ESExplorer (only Internal Storage appears on the home page)
I cannot set the camera location to save photos on it
doesn't appear under /storage (i.e. /storage/76AC-17ED)
It's as if the storage is mounted, but isn't flagged as being a SD card.
Any ideas -- anyone??

I think I found a solution your problem. Well, it worked for me.
Firstly I backed up my SDCARD
Then went to Settings, Storage Settings tabbed on SD card and tab on options [three dotted things].
Formatted my sd card as internal, when I went back to my applications there was an option to move them to external.
[WARNING]One problem is that if you format it as internal it will not show as different storage systems on your pc WILL SHOW AS SHARED STORAGE!!!!
******** I Had So Many Issues I Would Not Recommend It *********
Hope that helps you

Thanks for the suggestion - but didn't work.
When I click the three-dotted-things only option I see is (under Storage settings) is "Format". I format the card - but still cannot move apps to it or set as camera location.

Manual Fix
Hi.
I just got it running on Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition (LTE).
This guide worked for me: modaco.com / news / android / heres-how-to-configure-adoptable-storage-on-your-s7-s7-edge-r1632
Guide also referenced in this German HowTo: androidpit.de / micro-sd-als-internen-speicher-formatieren
I did the 50:50 format on my 200GB SD card.
Please remove the blanks in the links. Had to put them in because forum software did not allow me to include links.
