I have a P3300 with clean official HTC WM6 OS. Let's try to install, by example, Google Maps:
I select it to install to the /Expansión Card (not the main device). All right, the program will install in the main device....
Same with lots (all?) programs... What is wrong? any hint?
All work right and the SD card is accessible without problems

Some programs cannot be installed on the storagecard, only on the internal memory.

sd interface is turned off when the device is off
so program which need to keep running cant
sd interface is not instant on when the device wake
meaning that ringtones and notification sounds in general
will not be able to be places on the sd as when they are required
to play the device may not be able to access them
After installing new rom with A2SD+, Ican't install eWallet viewer (a great application to store passwords).
The application needs access to the SD card (in order to sync the .wlt file), so the USB cable must be connected to the PC as Disk Drive.
BUT, because of this - there is no access to the eWallet application (which installed automatically on the ext partition).
Is there any solution?
Can I force eWallet to be installed on the internal memory even with A2SD+ ?

I have Android 2.2 and I am using ewallet on the SD card without any issue.

Maybe you are not using A2SD+.
Maybe you can move the app back to the phone?

I am using Miri's v2.0 custom ROM built on Froyo, it's built into froyo, you have to go to an install app tell it to load all programs to SD card. I am running all my apps from SD card and eWallet works great.
Hi guys I've been messing around with my phone all day. I have been restoring my apps back onto my phone and all that good stuff. I finally fixed my phone and when I was restoring my phone it tells me that my internal space is getting full. How is that possible if I only have 2 apps from the market installed? Any ideas?

try clearing cache of your apps. If you have root access, download cachemate and use that. you can also move apps to your SD card to free internal space.

edit: you can also try wiping your phone back to stock if you continue with these issues

If you are using a custom ROM and it supports it then apps2sd because you can actually go beyond the 512 MB limit, you can make it as large as your entire SD card if you like... of course it has a trade off: the card must be repartitioned before you can use apps2sd meaning that you need to copy your card over a computer, partition and then copy back your stuff.
I use and would recommend that you use froyo to move apps to SD card. You can also move apps from the SD card back to your internal memory.
You can move most apps to SD Card; but some apps you do not have the option to move to SD card, and must remain on internal phone storage.
Follow these simple steps to move / to know whether the app can be moved or not.
1. Open Settings -> Applications ->Manage Applications and tap on the app you want to move.
2. Tap on the box “Move to SD card”.
3. Now tap on “On SD Card” to know whether your app has been moved or not.
You can also move back the app to phone memory by tapping on application and then selecting “Move to Phone” option.

The thing is..I only have 2 apps installed from the market and it's saying my internal memory is full. That just doesn't make sense.
Sprints stock ROM will give you a low storage warning when you have less than 45MB free space which I think is a little high. Thank god for apps2sd.
do you use the stock HTC mail app? if you do, try this: when you delete mail in the stock HTC mail app, it doesn't delete it, but just moves it to the 'Trash' folder? I've just cleared 6Mb that accumulated of the last month or so myself...
if all else fails, you might have to factory reset the evo.
thanks for all the help. so i needed up booting in recovery and clearing everything now it went to like 300mb and im restoring my apps. do you think i should put them on my SD card?
I would put what you can on your sd card...you can always move them back to the phone if needed

curious to know what caused that low memory problem in the first place? that's just weird.
i am not sure what causes the memory leak; but others i know with evos have had the same issue and a factory reset has solved the issue every time. good luck!
I've finally had enough of using Titanium backup to force apps to SD, and have decided to install A2SD+, but I have a question:
As I understand it, when using the standard Android Apps to SD, any apps put there will not automatically restart if I mount the SD card by USB. That's why some apps with Widgets, or those that run in the background can't be moved.
Does this happen with A2SD+? I intend to move apps like my email app to the SD and want to know if it will auto-restart if I use USB.
And is it possible to change what apps go to SD, or is it automatic or can it be overrided?
Any help would be appreciated.

Try Link2SD, I love that app, the only downer is that you need an ext partition (and root, but that isn't a problem, at least for you).
I personally have a weird mix of tweaks; Link2SD, dalvik2cache and a custom "google-play-cache2SD" and I've about 120 MB of free internal (well, I flashed the 420MB data partition firmware)

One way to do so, without losing your data (well, if something goes wrong like a power out or so you could also lose your data) is plugging your uSD in a PC running Linux (a live cd does the trick) and use a program called partition manager. There you can resize, create, delete and move partitions, try finding a how-to on that app, there's plenty of info on Internet.
Now, the difference between move2sd enabler and Link2SD, AFAIK, is that Link2SD moves the apk, dex and libs of your apps (sadly not data, yet), while move2sd enabler only moves the apk.
I found out this today. I have 38 mb left, but I integrate all system updates to ROM with TB and I get 90+ mb Not sure if this will help you

I dont know the disadvantages of advantages of using those apps you listed because I swap my sd card alot. But there is a mod to increase internal storage by install a mod via CWM. But there is a catch this mod requires you to be on the 2.3.3 firmware not 2.3.4.

This tweak is only good if u just finished flashing new rom..
Flashing it on rom with many apps and config have risk to mess up lot of stuff... especially if u have a lot of app installed in sd card

Alternatively u also can move some app from data/app to system/app by converting it become system apps
