So im using the app, On the website my calendars are in there colors, Blue green brown purple, all that
My [email protected] calender is purple and shows that color on the phone, Whilst my other 3 calenders don't show up there color, They just appear red and my gfs calender of [email protected] shows up the color I gave it online,
Also unless I click into the calender date, they have a green bar
Am I missing something here?
Small bump, I have been digging in this app, I still cant seem to find a way to get my calenders to show up with a custom color other than red, As I said my synced email calender is fine, but not the others,
Still looking for help
Cheers
The colours are only able to be changed online.

Far enough having to change them online, but what I change them to online should still show up on the phone, otherwise the calendar app has become rather pointless

Error between Google calendar and the phone. You can only use the bottom 3 rows of colours if you want them to match up on the phone. Suck part is that its the lighter shades that you're able to use and not the darker.

Shall give that a try, A color is a color, as long as its not, Any idea if it is something that can be fixed?

It was mentioned around here somewhere. Don't know where the fault is. Could be HTC, could be Google

The other thing is I cannot seem to get it to alert me to recurring events, Is I add a new event it works,
Suggestions?
Cheers

I have just travelled from iPhone 4s to the nexus and I'm really impressed
One thing I can't work out how to do is show in my email widget the number of emails unread . I'm gonna find it really weird only seeing notification on the top and not on the widget can this be enabled ? I've looked through all the settings but can't see anything
Thanks in advance

Mine shows the unread count in the stock gmail widget on the top right
attachment of screenshot with widget...
Excellent found that can you tell me how to switch the flashing notification on ?
Thanks in advance

I'm not sure if you can set the led to flash for emails on stock without an app.
I do know you can set this using the Light Flow app from the Market
Hey all,
Just thought I might throw the idea out there, would it be possible to create a continuum style notification either in place or over the menu buttons at the bottom? That would be pretty interesting.

I'm not sure what this is, could you describe it?
http://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/cell-phones/SCH-I400ZKAVZW
its that small second display across the bottom. it shows news updates, text messages, RSS messages, facebook posts etc.
and im with you OP, this could be cool
Something that could be toggled easily (say a button opposite where the small menu button appears) that is always up. This way you have notifications/new messages and still retain easy access to your soft buttons.
It could display last X number of Facebook messages, or G+ posts from selected contacts, or twitter posts with certain tags.

This is an interesting idea. It would be redundant in normal use, but when notification bar is hidden (i.e. full screen browsing, games etc.) it would be cool to see notifications pop up on the nav bar.
I'm just not a huge fan of the notification bar, and with the new .zips to hide the bottom buttons it leaves room for this

Fun fact the second screen is actually part of the main screen

On the continuum?

Or perhaps turn the nav bar into a "dock' that you could slide and have a notification ticker as one of the things you could add to it

Another idea would be for the MIUI style pop up notification and have it appear over the nav buttons
its mainly with sms apps like handcent and go sms. although handcent tried to fix it they made it much worse and the frequency of which the led blinks is very slow. my question now is does anyone know of a good led control program or anyway to fix the led to make it blink regularly
Light flow from the play store. Has a lot of options. Hope this helps.

tried it already sorry forgot to mention i tried all the led programs in market and none worked. they showed a diffrent color from which i set and it wouldnt blink with light flow it would stay solid until i deactivated it
Has anyone played with the hex #'s to figure out at least the basic colors? I've been able tlbmske red, white, and some pinkish color on go SMS using the hex sliders but since the colors don't match anything its like a guessing/trial and error game.

llol then you see what i mean. neither handcent nor go sms does the led correctly. handncent doesnt even let you choose a color anymore just to try and fix it with s3. ive tried all combonations of the sliders and market apps none of them work correctly with s3
I've done my research and it seems the led drivers and such on the two gs3 are screwed up. This is something Samsung has to fix with the next update. For now we are left with the random colors lol. It's annoying I know.
On go SMS I was able to create purple, green, red, yellow, and white. A long with some pinkish color. Other than that this Sucks haha.

Yes, there is a bug with the US GS3s. I wasn't able to get any third party to blink but you can use this list for now to get the color you want.
Light flow developers are working on a solution for their app but will require root access looks like it is in beta now.
good to know light flow is trying to fix and im rooted so no problem there.
Finally got the wife to move over from the dark side, iPhone, to Android! It's the little things in life... Anyways, of course she wants it all pretty like the iPhone, so I've been trying to help her customize it pretty good. In the stock messaging app, you can change the theme. But, is there any way to change the color of the bar at the very top that says "Messages"? It stays blue!

I believe not yet . . I know there's a lot of people requesting the option to change the colours to their own but nothing yet . . I'm sure rooting would allow it some way but I've yet to take the plunge of rooting my M8

Thanks for the responses. Now we're having issues with the TV app. I was able to set mine up just fine. On hers, when she get to the screen where it asks for your favorite TV shows, then hits next, we get an error message... Something about not being able to retrieve the data from the server.. I've tried everything.. uninstalling the update, which just updates when you open the app, clearing the app data/cache, etc. Any ideas on this one?

I have the option on to where when I turn on my device it comes up with the date, calendar, and on the right, a spot to take notes. Well for some odd reason the section where you take notes turned a blue color one day and I can't write it anymore. I didn't do anything right before this happened so I have no clue as to what caused it. Anyone had this happen to them or can offer some troubleshooting? Thanks!
