Putting an ATT Tilt (8925) Antennae in T-Mobile TP2=ATT 3g? - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Windows Mobile General

Can it even be done hardware wise? my wife just broke her 8925 and ironically enough we just switched services from t-Mobile to ATT (I knew I was going to lose 3g, however I thought someone with t-mobile would be more receptive to a trade offer of ATT Tilt2 and give them a Touch Pro2, which I might add is sim/cid/sec unlocked. Exact same phone and they would get T-Mobile 3g on theirs and I would get my ATT 3g and I would be happy, but not a single taker.
Anyway Can this be done? If so how? I have the 8925 dissasembled down to the mainboard already, my spare tp2 is sitting next to it, I will take pictures of every step if this is possible to do so it can be used for reference later.
Thanks in advance guys.

T-Mobile TP2 on AT&T

I'm thinking about buying a TMobile Touch Pro 2 and using it on AT&T. All the delays coupled with the lame keyboard is making me look elsewhere. If I unlock a TMobile TP2 or a sprint one, is it compatible with AT&T 3G network?
No, unfortunately none of them will work on AT&T's 3G network. They will however work on Edge. I too really hate the keyboard on the AT&T version. Why can't they just leave it alone. Why does AT&T have to mess up all the HTC phones.
Crap.. I'll have to keep looking for a replacement keyboad. I replaced my Fuze's and I'd never go back. Screw you AT&T. I'm so considering a switch to Verizion in Jan when my contract is up.
I'm with you buddy. You changed the keyboard on your Fuze? How hard was that to do?
Changing the fuze keyboard is really easy. There's a good thread about it but it was basically just taking off a sticky overlay. Look like 2 mins.

UNLOCKING Branded Rhodiums for 3G service

Hey guys,
I'm not pro like some of you here, so hopefully some of you could help me answer my questions/concerns.
Basically I have a Tmobile Touch Pro2 right now, but it's NOT unlocked, so I could use their 3G service for faster internet speed.
1. My question is if I unlock this phone, would it change the 3G bands, which will then take me back to EDGE speeds?
2. I also want to know if I unlock this phone, will it work with 3G ATT service.
3. In regards to #2. What if I buy the ATT version (Tilt 2) and unlock it. Will it still have the ATT 3G bands?
Basically the 3G isn't for reception, but mainly for faster internet usage. I have had my Touch 3G for sooooo long now going through edge speeds of around 20kb, so it's time for me to move on. lol. The ATT network is with my wife, so if she can use the Tmobile one on 3G, it would save me about $50-100. The Tilt 2 is more expensive
Thanks in advance!
p.s. Tmobile sucks for having their own unique 3G network

1. Yes it will still work on Tmobile 3g if you unlock it.
2. No a T-mobile branded phone will not work on AT&T 3G ( it is due to hardware.
3. refer to 1 & 2
unlocking the phone doesnt allow you to use att bands. and you dont need to unlock a tmobile phone to get tmobile 3g. if you buy a tilt 2 and unlock it and put a tmobile sim card in, you will not get 3g.
Thanks guys for the reply.
So basically if I unlock my Tmobile one, I can still get on their 3G service right? This helps a lot since now I can get rid of all their splash screens and HSPL my phone!
As for the ATT Tilt 2 version, if I unlock it, it should also stay on the ATT 3G service right? Since you mentioned the hardware is different.
Thank yoU!

Correct. Unlocking (SIM, CID, bootloader) isn't going to change anything at the hardware level no matter what phone.

Thank you so much
Now it's time for me to buy one of those unlock codes on eBay to save me the hassle of unlocking it myself

Turn t-mobile TP2 into Sprint TP2?

I have a tmobile touch pro 2 and im switching to Sprint next month bc of my dads job and I was wondering if it was possible to flash the tmobile phone in order to use it for sprint? Im sorry i know this isnt the place to put this but if anyone can answer or send me in the right direction I would really appreciate it!
Impossible
This is not possible because sprint uses the CMDA network. The touch pro 2 is GSM and that can't be changed.

Tilt2 3g on TMo ?

So I went to TMobile today and switched from ATT, and I'm wondering can I get 3g still? I know you cant with the European TP2, but dont know if it would work with the Tilt2 since theyre both US carriers. Not a big deal if I cant, still worth it for the $$ Im saving, but nice to know
No you can't get 3G with the Tilt2. If you're happy w/ EDGE I don't see a reason to upgrade unless you find someone willing to swap with you. Are you in a confirmed good 3G coverage area? I believe Toledo just got 3G not too long ago so your city might not have full 3G coverage yet.
Yeah, Toledo's got 3g, when with ATT I could get it just about anytime, in Toledo or Indy. Like I said though, not a big deal. I hardly ever used it when I had it so Im not really losing anything. Thanks

[Q] Note 2 from Sprint to Verizon, basic questions

I got a galaxy note 2 with Sprint on it, and plan to switch over to Verizon wireless (I use one of those 3rd party companies that use Verizon lines) and I heard they don't like unlocked phones. I have a few basic questions, please note my phone doesn't have a SIM card. I like Sprint, but their coverage is more city based, and the problem there is I don't live in a city, and big red has got us covered under 4G LTE.
Will I be able to pick up a Verizon LTE service, I remember there was some sort of error with my older S3 and it roamed on a Verizon 4G network, i'd assume my Sprint note 2 can do the same, and is capable of picking up that signal.
Also, will the company be able to know I have an unlocked phone? Or will it assign me a new MEID with Verizon when I select that option, (Yes I know how to unlock, real simple process) And when I go to type in the MEID/ESN for activation, will it recognize it is on an unlocked phone, if so how do I fix that without doing anything illegal (Like changing the MEID, which is very complex, and illegal)
And will I be able to keep my current MEID I have on Sprint, if I select Sprint under the network options.
If you are confused on my wording, i'll be glad to help you out. Also if you know anything about the HTC One M7, will I be able to switch that over too, and would I also need a Verizon SIM.
Thanks for the help, I am not an expert so try not to be too complex, I also perfer to avoid CDMA tool if possible, I dread that software at times.
If there's also a way if 4G won't work to trick it into thinking I have a 3G only devise under Verizon that would be cool too. I don't expect this to even be possible without a dreadful process.
Bump, not sure if you are supposed to do this.
