Rhodium Notification LED - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Windows Mobile General

I've looked around a fair bit and haven't found anything, but does anyone know of a good way to get a constant blinking status light on the Rhodium (specifically Tilt2)? My old Kaiser had a blinking green light to indicate network status, which was useful, not only for verifying that the phone was locked onto the cell network, but also for finding the phone at night, or in a pitch black room. Also, there was an excellent tool "kaiser notification" that let you configure all the different lights, and events attached to them.
I know all about the stock ways of adjusting the led notifications (for missed call, new text, new email, etc) but i wanted to know if anyone knows of a tool to customize the led notifications, or of any way to make the light blink continuously when the phone is sleeping, but connected to the cell network.
Thanks in advance for any input!

Missed calls/SMS - how to tell without screen?

Is there any way to tell if you have a missed call or text message without turning on the p3300 when it goes into standby?
Some quick tests seems to reveal that the LEDs don't blink differently like they do on some other HTC models?
I have recently moved from a mobile phone and the standby screen showed the time and if any missed calls or SMS were pending. How much would the battery life be affected to have the screen still on all the time but with minimal information and no backlight?
My p3300 has to be on silent most of the time and I would really like a quick way to see what I have missed (if anything) when I glance at it.
install A SMS and activate the sms reminder, it will tell you how many sms messages you have that are unread, at any time interval you wish
I actually found the solution this morning - under Sounds you can set the light to blink (the right one blinks orange instead of the normal green) for various notifications. By default SMS is set to off - I set that and missed call to blink indefinitely.
Yep that works fine, Orange light indicates missed calls or SMS, it also flashes in shorter intervalls so you can get that information with a short glance at your device. And by the way, it does not matter how many information the screen tells, the battery life is the same screen on means screen is on, no matter if it shows blank white or informations ;P

LED Notification

I'm having a bit of trouble. Whenever I get a text message or MMS the green notification LED doesn't turn to amber? Anyone know a way to get it to turn amber when a message is received?
Haha, I wish you were right and we had a problem. No, this is what we call a feature in the Excalibur. The LED doesn't turn amber at all when you receive a message.
The only way you can tell you have received a message is when the phone is charging and there's a steady green or a steady yellow. If a message is received, then it blinks green.
It's really annoying and pisses me off coming from the PPC world but that is just the way it is. If it makes you feel better, Treo 750 users have similar issues and that's a full blown WM5 phone.
There may be programs floating around that can change the LED upon certain triggers but the ones that I have tried don't really work. If anyone has any suggestions, I would love to hear them. We all know that the LED can blink yellow, green or red. It should just be a matter of software to get that going.
I have been using DontForget. It has the ability to turn off your LED and have it blink only when you have and email, or SMS or a missed call. Or, if you like to keep the normal flashing, you can set it to just blink faster when there's a notification. IMO this should be part of the OS. Get it at http://blog.softimage.cz/?page_id=83
I have also been using DF since Day 1 but it is kinda quirky. I would prefer to change the color of the LED rather than turn it off completely and have it flash faster (I mean how the hell do you distinguish the faster flashing from the slower flashing--I can't and I tried).
I've configured my DF to turn off the LED as well, i'm quite happy with it
Sweet! Thanks a lot for the help. It was a life saver

Tilt 2 LED - Just network signal?

Hello,
I just got a touch pro2 lastweek and I am beating my head trying to figure out what the deal is with the status notification LEDs
I see one to the LEFT of the earpiece/speaker that flashes green every few seconds and then just stops - all the flashing stops. I'm thinking the bliking stops when the phone goes to sleep. So i press the power to wake the phone - but the flashing doesn't come back. I was thinking this is the network/signal indicator but doesn't seem that way.
I see another that's to the RIGHT of the earpiece/speaker that doesn't go on at all.
So no way to tell if the phone is on wifi network or if bluetooth is on (without obviously waking the phone up and checking on screen). I'm looking for a way to see status without touching the phone - like my old HTC TyTn (rest in peace!)
It turns red when you charge you're phone.
It turns green when you are fully charged (with the charger still in)
It blinks green when you have a new message/e-mail/missed call.
It blinks red when you're batterie is almost empty.
That are the basics
thanks! that's about what i seemed to have gathered too... what about that fake light like thing to the right of speaker? never lights up?
and no bluetooth/wan notification ten, right?

thats the light sensor for the screen
adjusts brightness depending on how much light is hitting the phone
Below is a description of the LED lights straight from the manual that came with my Tilt2.
* The Notification LED shows a:
Flashing green light when there are new SMS, MMS or email messages, missed calls, or reminders.
Solid green light when the device is connected to the power adapter or a computer and the battery is fully charged.
Solid amber light when the battery is being charged.
Flashing amber light when the remaining battery level reaches below 10%.

That's pretty much exactly it. There is a program floating around that allows you to change the light and customize the reason it flashes, but I think it's just fine the way it is .
it also flashed green then the red light really quick when its overheating :O
thanks for the quick replies folks.
I saw that in the manual too - but i never go by the manuals! i can't count how many times my manuals have been wrong about a particular function.
it's a disappointment since the older Tytn was much more friendly about the notifications. but i'll deal with it.
as far as that being a light sensor - i think it makes sense. I'll try trick it to see what I notice. Then I'm guessing it's the proximity sensor that's around the HTC logo? I think I was in the sun when I saw it but there's some sort of sensor around there. I figured that's the light sensor. perhaps not.
Thanks again!

[Q] Any luck with Lightflow?

I was just wondering if anyone here has had luck with lightflow in getting notifications to work.
Currently I can either enable the notification light, and all it does is blink green (despite no notifications), or turn it off. Testing with lightflow resulted in, what seems like, no changes. I know there might not be a large range of colours, but it would be nice to control the notification LED.
It didn't work with any app available, I can't not understand why...maybe the led is not capable of showing more than two or three colors?
The number of colours isn't really an issue. For example, the Nexus S blinked the Home, Menu and back buttons. As long as it can be controlled it would be nice, but it doesn't seem to be able to do it.
I've been aware that I see the notification light even if there are no notifications

LG G7 - notification LED has new features? Can the new blinks be disabled?

I've been running LED Blinker Pro for about a year now. It allowed me to set the LED to different colors for texts, missed calls, upcoming appointments, and a host of other things (Signal messages, Facebook messages, low battery etc...) and a user selectable blink rate compared to stock.
Recently, possibly after updating to Pie, things with the LED have changed. Now, when I am charging the phone, the LED goes solid red. When the battery is full, the LED goes solid green. The LED blinks a slow blue when Bluetooth in on. Basically it's doing things I don't want it to do, and it overpowers my own app, rendering it mostly unusable. I uninstalled LED Blinker Pro to see if there was an issue with that app, but the new LED issues remain
I looked throughout the phone's settings, but I cannot find where these "new" LED notification settings are. I'd like to turn them off, and have everything controlled by the app I paid for. I did find a toggle under Settings>Apps & notifications>Notifications>Blink LED, but that turns the LED "off" so that there's no blinking at all, with both the "new" LED features and the paid app. But, I do not want the LED totally off, I just want to be able to control it like I have been able to do over the past year.
Is this new LED blinking function a function of PIE? Has anyone figured out how to change settings for it? Can it be disabled so that I can use my own app to control the LED?
