Hi guys, I'm using latest oficial rom from HTC. When I load youtube application there is no thumbnails. Is there a solution for this bug?
i think its a problem on the youtube side of things as opposed to your application or ROM
OK, but in previous rom (1,19) everything was fine!
Thanks for redirecting me here my friend. I just installed Coreplayer 1.3.2? and it shows it. I think youtube's probably should be fixed soon as I hate it without any of the thumbnails I don't know what i'll be watching!
thanks all!
Same on stock ROM HTC Raphael
Hi guys,
I think this is a problem on Youtube's side indeed. I'm using the original ROM and also have this problem: no thumbnails. A bit of topic, since I'm using a HTC Raphael. Maybe helpfull to mention, the problem started recently. Last week I think.

stock ROM, no thumbnails as well...
when you said you loaded the youtube app, which one did you load? I'm trying to figure out which one I have and where it came from. It came to me from conflipper's Alltel rom for the Vogue but has no version number or anything. The app has 4 tabs, a program guide and verticle list with non-working thumbnails. I've been trying to see if there's an updated app.
Just recently, I loaded the official Youtube Mobile app and it has thumbnails but doesn't use touch scrolling. The video is 100 percent better as well but it has no favorites or history menu. So I'm still looking for a good app and hope whatever one I am using has an update.
Same prob here, stock ROM, no thumbnails!
im using V 2.5 (build1913.1232) of the youtube app.its the version in duttys Xtreme V3 ROM.No Thumbnails here...
Am using duttys v3 xtreme rom and i have no thumbnails in youtube either. why oh why oh why?

It might be simply down to the version of youtube app you've installed on your PPC. I had the same problem after I upgraded to the latest youtube version but it was corrected after uninstalling it and installing a previous version. Give it a try and let me know how it goes.
I can't remember the versions number now, but the latest non-working version is about 8M in size and the working version (for me) is 2.2M.
Hope this help.

I would have thought that by installing a cab over the one in your original rom should remove the one in you rom, but I am not entirely sure. You can give it a go.
You can find the link to download both the latest and the old one version in the link below (see post #2):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=502618
Yes, I confirm that with installing the old one YouTube (old version 2,26MB) client everything is OK. Now I have thumbnails Thanks for advise
youtube thumbnails htc missing
this problem occurs if you install an app called webvideo downloader or something similar. to get the thumbnails to show again go into this other app and untick disable thumbnails under settings. this fixes the issue and you should now be able to see thumbnails again in your htc youtube app
have Changed nothing but today i opened my youtube app and the thumbnails were backits magic

Is anyone else having issues downloading apps remotely from the newly launched Android Online Market with CM6.1? It may or may not be related to the ROM you're using, I'm just curious.

Android online market?? U mean the one built into the Rom or is there a literal one online now?
Sent from my Incredible using XDA App
I'm having issues. When I login, select an App and then choose install, I get the message 'There are no android phones associated with this account. Please sign in with a different account'.
Not sure if the online Android Market (market.android.com) is unable to detect a device if it's on a rooted / CyanogenMod OS?
I just tested this....Worked just fine. Incredible running 6.1 stable and invisiblek kernel.
Glad to hear it's working for you. Anyone else? I'm still experiencing the same issue(s). If I go to My Market Account on the top right after I login (market.android.com), I can see Orders which shows all of my Apps. When I click the Settings tab, I get 'There are no Android devices associated with this account'.

It just went live today. So cool
I'm also using CM6.1 and it downloaded just fine. Is the account you're signing into the same online and on your phone? (dumb question I know, but just wanted to check )

Yes it is.
Sent from my sexy assistant. (HTC Incredible running cm7)
I am having the same issue - but on a Desire running Oxygen ROM 2.0 (Gingerbread).
There was not post in the desire forums about this, but now it makes me wonder if it might be related to the version of the Market Place that is running on the device? (Old version in this ROM)
I've got an Inc running Cm6.1 with Invisible Kernel.
It recognizes two devices on the account (One presumably being the Droid I previously owned.)
It says it installs, my phone simply never receives the information, I guess.
Are you guys all on the updated market?
I'm on the updated market and it's working for me - if you're not on the latest market, my guess is it's not going to work.
Could also be it's the first day of the new online market, they could still be working out the kinks, I'd give it a couple of days before worrying about it

That's true. I might have to update the market and see if that does the trick.
The only other issue is, like I said, the two devices showing up, even though I only own one device.
I'm using a rooted Desire with HTC Stock-ROM and the web-market doesn't work as well.
As of today, still having the same issue(s). Been seeing this problem all over the web after I do some searches. Seems I'm not alone.
I'm having problems as well.
I am running market version 2.2.7 which i found an APK for around here.
I see my Incredible (and presumably my old Droid too) listed, but it says last accessed on Dec 26 or so.
So it possibly isn't connecting to the market in some way that it needs to be?
I have CM6.1 and i cant access the online market either. i have market version 2.2.1.1
I am also running CM 6.1 and Market version 2.2.11 and I can't get the new web market to work either. I thought it was because I didn't have the latest version of the Market, but I guess that's not it either.
One solution to the "There are no Android devices associated with this account." problem is to remove accounts.db and Market settings: http://hacktheman.org/fixing-android-market-website/
Google Launches Online market and allows Direct downloading from the web. Easy Searching, downloading, etc.
Link!
this is also why the market has been on and off the last couple days
installing from the web doesn't work for me unless I run stock (it didn't work with AppBrain either). I'm running CM 6.1.1 on Vision
Didn't work for me either on cm6.1.1 or latest cm7 nightly.

Works like a charm with Gingerbread Villain. They made it so easy, you click install and by the time you pull the phone out of your pocket it's installed.
Holy crap, what a cool innovation!! That is just sweet! I'm on Gingervillian, so we'll see how it works. Regardless of if it works for me, I can accept that since my phone is hacked. This is sweet for most of the Androids out there running stock.
Works fine for me and im running the lastest CM stable, 6.1.1

What version of the Market is everyone running? I have a rooted G2 running CM 6.1 and I have the old market and the new market sync doesn't work but my roommate has a G2 running CM 6.1 and he has the new market and his links work....I think it has something to do with that.

Not being able to turn off the nav bar is a deal breaker for me. Liked the rom, but no need for the nav bar on the S4.

This is just an early alpha, a test to see if the frameworks will run correctly.
The nav-keys are there in-case HW keys are not functional so feedback can still be given and they can be disabled by removing:
qemu.hw.mainkeys=0
in build.prop, this text entry turns the on-screen softkeys on and removing it will disable them
Edit: the next version-up will be far more 'complete' this was just built today on a CM10.1 base that was just built today :x
No more updates?
Google Account
Cannot find a way to add Google Account. Only offers Exchange, MI Cloud, Mail??????
I was able to setup Google in Browser with my GMail account, but......
And when I try to start playstore after installing the apk,, it starts then goes back to the icon. I think because it needs the Google account info first.
I do have all the other recommendations in FAQ working, including root, etc.
FIXED: http://en.miui.com/thread-3998-1-1.html
Go to this page. Create an account to allow download of the Google apps installer. Make sure you enable all of the settings including ok to adding Google framework. After doing all of this you will see a slew of Google downloads including the playstore app. My mistake was locating an apk file and installing standalone. That will not work. I uninstalled that APK and used the link I show. Then it works

I am an old time MIUI user back in my Nexus One days when I left IPhone for my first Android. Coolest MIUI stuff is the ultimate amount of themes out there. It does take a lot of extra effort in customizing the way you like a setup, but I find MIUI so refreshing compared to the typical stuff available. I actually find this really responsive including consistent 32Mps download speeds speedtest.net in my home here in Las Vegas. To bad more developers here aren't into working with MIUI. Even though it's still using 4.2.x, everything I need works, including Samsung WatchOn that was posted here on another ROM as a standalone recovery installation with a Kit Kat 4.4.x ROM.
Have you tried the full latest MIUI download for the I9505. Been trying to download that for the last three days. REALLY slow site
Miss the days when there were those English packs that pretty much weeded a lot of the Chinese stuff out, but I can live with that too :good:
Edit: Just saw your join date here same as me...Jan 2010 and you also had the Nexus One. Probably ran into some time or another back in those olden days if I did a search here......
PPS...not much traffic so I am taking a little libery in thread drift too

OK, a new update is coming tomorrow.
Now that I understand this phone a bit more I can do a more stable version with the next revision.
I'm going to also include the software camera that comes with Xiaomi phones as well, I'll need feedback on it so I'm going to put it in another flashable zip independent of the download link for MIUI.
Also 4.2.2 is cool and all that but I've been prepping a 4.4 base for MIUI v6 as well and working on a solution for OTA update as well.

I am totally sold on going back to MIUI. I forgot how much custom stuff was possible. So include me. More than happy to test stuff too before posting if you want help. Spent three days trying to download from the MIUI world site the slighter later, but bloated version which I assume would have been compatible. I9505. But failed at installing in recovery. I have one app that refuses to work correctly with 4.3 or 4.4 updates, but works perfectly under 4.2, but I can live with updates to newer. I basically have to delete cache files everytime before starting the app. Annoying, but do-able.
PS...what local folder are themes that are downloaded stored in. I couldn't get a .mtz file to install when I manually went on the MIUI world site. Using the THEME app on the phone works. Just have to get past the Chinese texts to figure out how to individually apply separate items such as lock screens etc.
EDIT: The prior MIUI theme installers allowed to pick and choose what aspects of a theme you wanted to install. Could not see how to do this currently, unless I'm missing something.
Keep up the good work...thanks!!!

Hey guys,
Just found this and thought I'd share in case anyone wants to give it a try. Its a new Launcher from Samsung, called "Terrain", that is intended to make things quicker and easier to access. It's still in beta apparently, so it probably will have some bugs, and will likely be updated fairly often as they find and address them. I'm not able to try this myself right now, so I can't give any personal feedback on it, but figured I'd let you guys know about it anyway.
You can read more about it and get it at the Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.terrainhome
I also have it uploaded to my Dev-Host account in case anyone wants the actual apk file to play with, or incorporate into a rom. You can download that here: http://d-h.st/KmA
Sammobile has a small write-up about it as well. You can read that here: http://www.sammobile.com/2014/06/17...een-launcher-app-for-all-android-4-2-devices/
Let us know what you think if you try it out!
Not bad
Tried out the whole of yesterday. Not bad in my opinion.
I tried it too. Couldn't get the Facebook news feed to work and it doesn't let you choose which phone number to use when you click on a favorite contact. Also it would only show the notification bar if you pulled down from the very top and their was no setting to change that. Other than that I liked it

Its great to know that samsung is working on a new launcher. TW home is seriously outdated and should be replaced. If google launcher wasn't included as an option in the ROM I'm using, I'd be rocking this in a heart beat. Looks awesome.

Thanks for this doc. Didn't notice this or know anything about this until now. Look forward to modifying it some myself and inverting it.
I checked the Google Play version number, which is 0.400, and searched based on that number. The same version number is at the link below. I've downloaded it to my Moto G and the app works, including the Facebook sign in process.

Thanks for posting the link for this launcher. It is by far my fav. It has everything you can need and it doesn't seem to slow brown the phone like others.
Samsung seems to have not done any more with this for a fairly long time now. Do they have something else out instead?
