Is anyone else having issues downloading apps remotely from the newly launched Android Online Market with CM6.1? It may or may not be related to the ROM you're using, I'm just curious.

Android online market?? U mean the one built into the Rom or is there a literal one online now?
Sent from my Incredible using XDA App
I'm having issues. When I login, select an App and then choose install, I get the message 'There are no android phones associated with this account. Please sign in with a different account'.
Not sure if the online Android Market (market.android.com) is unable to detect a device if it's on a rooted / CyanogenMod OS?
I just tested this....Worked just fine. Incredible running 6.1 stable and invisiblek kernel.
Glad to hear it's working for you. Anyone else? I'm still experiencing the same issue(s). If I go to My Market Account on the top right after I login (market.android.com), I can see Orders which shows all of my Apps. When I click the Settings tab, I get 'There are no Android devices associated with this account'.

It just went live today. So cool
I'm also using CM6.1 and it downloaded just fine. Is the account you're signing into the same online and on your phone? (dumb question I know, but just wanted to check )

Yes it is.
Sent from my sexy assistant. (HTC Incredible running cm7)
I am having the same issue - but on a Desire running Oxygen ROM 2.0 (Gingerbread).
There was not post in the desire forums about this, but now it makes me wonder if it might be related to the version of the Market Place that is running on the device? (Old version in this ROM)
I've got an Inc running Cm6.1 with Invisible Kernel.
It recognizes two devices on the account (One presumably being the Droid I previously owned.)
It says it installs, my phone simply never receives the information, I guess.
Are you guys all on the updated market?
I'm on the updated market and it's working for me - if you're not on the latest market, my guess is it's not going to work.
Could also be it's the first day of the new online market, they could still be working out the kinks, I'd give it a couple of days before worrying about it

That's true. I might have to update the market and see if that does the trick.
The only other issue is, like I said, the two devices showing up, even though I only own one device.
I'm using a rooted Desire with HTC Stock-ROM and the web-market doesn't work as well.
As of today, still having the same issue(s). Been seeing this problem all over the web after I do some searches. Seems I'm not alone.
I'm having problems as well.
I am running market version 2.2.7 which i found an APK for around here.
I see my Incredible (and presumably my old Droid too) listed, but it says last accessed on Dec 26 or so.
So it possibly isn't connecting to the market in some way that it needs to be?
I have CM6.1 and i cant access the online market either. i have market version 2.2.1.1
I am also running CM 6.1 and Market version 2.2.11 and I can't get the new web market to work either. I thought it was because I didn't have the latest version of the Market, but I guess that's not it either.
One solution to the "There are no Android devices associated with this account." problem is to remove accounts.db and Market settings: http://hacktheman.org/fixing-android-market-website/

Was wondering if anyone else has tried the new web version of Market today (http://market.android.com), specifically anyone using the CM7 Nightly Builds. It would be great to pick apps in the web version to have installed on your phone OTA, but I'm wondering if the otakiller in CM7 makes this impossible to use. I tried to install one app but nothing seemed to happen. Anyone else try?
I tried it on cm6.1.1 and the latest nightly. Neither worked for me.

Same here. Works like magic
Are the people having success, accessing the web store from their browsers, and the people not having success accessing the web store from their laptops/desktops?
I would think that could make a difference.
EDIT: Now that im at my desktop, i decided to test. I was able to browse/use the market on the desktop web browser, and install OTA directly to my G2 seamlessly. Currently running CM 6.1.1

I think the purpose of having the Android Market on the web is to allow people the ability to view applications and install them OTA, and I don't believe it's supposed used on one's phone. It's very similar to AppBrain.
I love it... super convenient for me.
It's still not working for me - tried it from my laptop, it says that it's installed on the web but nothing happens on the phone. Tried Google's troubleshooting, that didn't work either. Wondering if a full wipe will help fix it but really don't want to go through that again...
It's not working for me either running CM7.
Works well for me using the CM 7 latest nightly (24).
Ok, got psyched OnStar added 2010 models. However, could not even find the app on my phone - Redemptive Revolution 2.3/Lou's # 9 kernel. So I went to the market on the internet, and it says this application is not compatible with my phone (but has no problem with my Eris, which has been off the VZW network and unused for months).
So I ask around on another forum, and other Dinc folks can get the app, some rooted, some not.
Anyone else having this issue? I have checked the help forums over at the android market, and it seems many, many folks have similar problems, for example, they get a replacement phone, and it's not that they can't reload an app, it's that the market says the phone is not compatible, even though really is. No user or Google-type person has been able to address or even explain the issue.
This is the smartest bunch of android folks I know of, so if anyone has any thoughts, I'd really like this app for my phone, and I would be eternally grateful (for while anyway).
I've not had any issues with the Onstar app myself. I've used it on stock & stock+root, CM6 and CM7 RC1 and RC2 with my Droid inc. Only minor 'issue' was it forgot my login creds.
What ROM are you on. Works fine on my Z ROM on Incredible. Your ROM may be telling the market the wrong phone.
still on Redemptive revolution, which is an Inc-Evo hybrid. But it should not matter. It is still Froyo, and this issue seems to run deep in the market, just so happens I really want this app.

The Froyo part should not matter it is what phone the Market thinks it is talking to.
Try a different ROM like mine or one of the other Z ROM's and if it installs you can copy it from /data/app/ to your SD card and go back to your current ROM and install it. If you do a nand backup of your current you can install another and get back to yours easy
FWIW, I am running CM7 RC2, and the OnStar app works fine.
Ran into this issue over the weekend. App worked fine on CM7, then I switched to MIUI yesterday and couldn't install it. I looked at the online version of the Android Market, and a dialog box said this app wasn't compatible with the Incredible 2. I'm currently waiting on a response from the developer. Has anyone else had this problem?
I use Tweetcaster Pro just fine. I'm running stock rooted 2.3.3 though
I went back to CM, and now it's visible in the "My Apps" section of the Android Market. Guess it's a MIUI issue. Odd.

I noticed my phone reports to the Market differently when I'm using MIUI. MIUI reports it as Verizon HTC Incredible 2 but if I'm running a different Sense ROM it gets reported as ADR6350. I'm wondering if that has anything to do with it, I'm going to lean towards yes.
I used tweetcaster pro in either the first or second official release for the Inc2. 1.7.22 I think it was.

Try restoring it from titanium backup or something. I'm able to install it just fine from Amazon market, don't own it on Android market though.
I restored from titanium and was able to launch the program / log in, though I was getting FC's from other apps so I reverted to my old ROM and never tested.
Since my post count is so low I have to start a new thread for this, sorry about that.
I just installed the ICS Beta III
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1343361
A half hour later or so I get an email from Google 'Welcoming me to my Galaxy Nexus'.
Has this happened to anyone else???
Did you happen to wander into the about section and click on system updates?

Nope, I flashed the ROM then downloaded a couple of apps from the Market as I was doing that I got the email.
All the links go to Google. I am just wondering is it something buried in the ICS code. Once you log on with your Google account it sends out a standard email to the account.
I don't really want to bother any of the dev's with it. They have enough to worry about right now without someone hassling them about something that is not that important in the grander sceme of things.
It's because the galaxy nexus is the only ICS Device with release codes for market so far. That will disappear once a more similar HTC device is released with ICS and we have a broader selection of release codes to choose from. Earlier beta's ran on test codes. They can be changed in build.prop.
Cheers man. I just could not understand it since it did not happen when I flashed the 1st and 2nd beta roms.
Thanks for posting this MrBC I also got this email and was curious about it.
I got this email as well MrBC...
Of course they can track what ROM use are using to browse android market. For example, I have recently update to Android revolution 2.3.5 and now not able to install few app which I used to have earlier on stock ROM 2.3.4.
I also got this
just ignore it lol
what i wondered was if it thinks we have a nexus why can we still not see some android apps lol
It's still beta so there are plenty of bugs. Its possible that there is a framework bug, or some component is missing. Then there is still the fact the a lot of apps on market are listed as not compatible with ICS. I'd expect it to take until 2012 before we have a fully functioning ROM and a fully working market.

Hi - I am the dev for PhoneLeash ... and one of our I9000 users is getting the "your device is not compatible" error. PhoneLeash has gotten installed on most every device (including those SMS-but-no-telephony Galaxy Tabs, and even WiFi devices) so this is frustrating.
If any of you I9000 owners can please take a minute to try to install it, it'll be helpful to know if this is a device issue or app issue or market issue. Its a useful app too btw forwards SMS etc to email, you can reply, GPS location!
Thank you!
well it is possible for me...
Same here. I am able to use it on my Sgs I9000 rooted.
Thanks folks ... meanwhile the user who was having troubles got his issue resolved as well. I had sent him the APK for a previous PhoneLeash release (it just happened to be lying around in my Inbox), which installed fine, but now he was able to upgrade to the latest version directly from the Android Market! Huh! But whatever the reason, hope its another tool to conquer the "not compatible" problem.

Sorry to hear that ... if can spare a few mins to help me debug further, can you email me at support A T gearandroid DOT SEE OH EM I could try the same method (give you an APK to an earlier release and see if the market then lets you upgrade)?
