I was texting while I was in Android the other day and I hit the enter key on the keyboard and it sent my message. I want to be able to do that in Windows mobile to make my texting more comfortable. Even if it was hitting alt enter that sent it I'd still be happy. Anyone have any suggestions?

Hi guys
Just upgraded to Black 3.0.1 and got a strange problem with SMS. Whenever I used to write a new SMS, I'd fill out the "to" info then press tab then start to write the message. Now, I press tab and it jumps right down to the bottom of the SMS and if I start to type it still types in the "to" box.
Anyone else experiance this?
Thanks
Try going into the Pimp my black app and turn off the "Navigate with D-pad" function under the Pocket IE tab.
You legend, worked a treat! Thanks
The keyboard on this phone is absolutely the best I've used, but fairly often, I accidentally press the enter key and send a text before it's completed. Facebook chat through the official app has the key set to just drop down a line; one has to press the soft "send" button to send a message into chat.
Is there any way to set this as the button's default behavior? Or maybe just for the messaging app? I'm using the SwiftKey Trial at the moment, and I couldn't find any sort of customization options.
Thanks in advance.

if you use Handcent, ChompSMS or the messaging app that comes with CM6 you can set "send on enter" on and off

Okay, did a bit of research, finally everything is fixed...found this thread really helpful..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1412261
Essentially, there is an ICS bug such that if you go into the hidden menu, your SMS carrier number is wiped...
To fix, one needs to obtain your telco's SMSC however this cannot be entered as a normal number, rather you need to go here
http://www.twit88.com/home/utility/sms-pdu-encode-decode
to convert it into a Hex number, is just simply the way SMS is transmitted...so what you do is at that site enter your SMSC in the bottom left hand corner including the + sign if your telco uses it, don't worry about the receiver or message, hit convert, grab the first 16 characters, note it may contain letters this is okay, but only take the first 16. You can backsolve and check if you did it correctly by using the first converter to reconvert back...
Go back into the hidden menu...type it in the SMSC, hit update, then refresh...wait a few seconds, close the prompt, check by sending an SMS again...it should work
Btw, any third party SMS apps also work as long it let's you manually enter a SMSC like GoSMS
Dunno why we don't have this option in our SMS stock app

Im coming from a BB. Being able to press enter to send a text is pretty awesome. The normal send button is pretty high and i feel like im going to drop the phone.
I know there are keyboard apps, but its my understanding that the note II keyboard is, in most cases superior to these apps.
Any ideas?
I use GO SMS and there is an "Enter key sends messages" option in the settings.
I have recently been fooling around with /system/csc/feature.xml. Ive been able to get videocall to actually dial out successfully. My only problem is that I dont know anyone that has this feature on their phone. When I say successfully I am meaning no popup that says unable to.... if you'd like to help me on this join in. Maybe we can figure this out together. This is what I added to the end of the call section, <CscFeature_VideoCall_Enable>true</

I'm not running a rom with the video call button on the Dialer so I need to go into contacts to select video call. It seems to get stuck when I try to end call though. I still don't know of anyone that video call stock so it's hard for me to test.

I open my contacts and only a voice calls and messages icon is there.. videos calling would be awesome if I could get it to work.
