I will point this out to the admins. Someone thrashed the wiki for the BA section. Screwed up most links and translated the page into portuguese on 4/22/10. Thanks for pointing it out ebsbow!

I just restored the wiki to its previous state. I have already alerted the mods and admins and also already found the user who did this.
My BA no longer detects my 1gb microsd card!
Hi,
Since I upgraded to wm 6.1, everything has been stable and working fine apart from the fact that I'm now unable to access my sd card. Whenever, I soft-resets, About tells me expansion slot in use but the minute the BA enters suspend mode & i turn it back on, About then tells me expansion slot not in use.
Even, when expansion slot is in use, i still cannot see the card in file explorer. Thought the minicard adapter had an issue (i've now tried it on an i-mate pda2k & a samsung sx66 both running wm 2003se with no success) until I inserted it into a laptop running windows xp and was able to access my files.
I've also tried 2 other microsd cards to no avail.
Is this a hardware or software issue? if software, is there a patch anywhere I can download?
Would much appreciate this.

It could be a hardware issue. Just to be sure, simply flash your BA to another rom (sun_dream or d-two) and see if the problem is still there. If it is, then you may want to back up the contents of the card, format it, and try again.

My questions start here :
Is it a Himalaya or Alpine
I tried to figure it out my self by reading your forum. I'm new user indeed, i got this device from work and just getting into this stuff.
I don't want to hear from any1 how stupid I'm am because i posted it because it is not so simple as you think identify this device.
I found on your forum that Himalaya does support WiFi (b) , mine DOESN't , there is no such option WI-FI lan or anything like that except Bluetooth.
Second of all a Cover, a case looks exactly as Alpine pictured here :

the name of it is O2 XDA II instead of OTEK POCKET PC.
My plan is to Upgrade a OS to the latest possible (english).

Please could someone help me out with upgrading my O2 XDA Orbit?
I've had the device from new for just over a year but I've never been able to update it via the "Windows Update" function within settings/system, I'm currently running ROM version: 3.4.206.2.WWE dated 18/4/07 and Windows version CE OS 5.2.1238 (Build 17745.0.2.3).
Ideally I’d like to “safely & reliably” upgrade it to WM6.1 but if that’s not possible then the latest version of WM6 with as many bugs fixed as possible, an idiots guide would also be appreciated!
I apologise but I’m on a really bad connection at the moment and it’s taking forever to navigate from one page to another, if this information is already available please point me in the right direction.

3. Start start_uspl.exe you must have a connection via Active Sync
4. Now you are able to Install any Artemis-ROM from this Forum

sorry i am a bit of a beginner with all this but very confused. I want to upgrade my wm5 loox n500 with windows mobile 6 so i can run certain apps. I have read all the forums and i have downloaded the rom upgrades which say they will change my pda to wm6 - file appears to be os_122u.nbf. however after doing this which all appeared to go successfully my apps will still not run and it appears when i check that i am still on wm5
what am i doing wrong ? have i downloaded the wrong image / duff image ?
is there a dummy guide to upgrading the n500 anywhere ? is it the same for upgarde purposes as a n520 ?
any help appreciated

another thing you can see is if you got threaded sms's it's one of the

Ok, above I can see exactly 5 "threads" on how to upgrade the 02 XDA IIs ie (HTC Blue Angel) to windows 6.5.
It clearly states DO AT AT YOUR OWN RISK, which has got me pissing in my pants.
I LOVE MY PHONE, but would also love to have windows 6.5 on it.

Chef Tony has given it step by step very nicely. Upgrading a WM5/6 device
FOR XP USERS, WHICH IS ME.
He says to skip the first 2 steps if memory shows as 60 MB something, mine shows 121, should I skip the first 2 steps then ?
He says : 6.b copy the contents of this package to the same folder: MAupgradeUt_noID - I guess I have to get the MAUpgradeUT-NOID.exe from someplace, anyone got a link ? cant seem to find it.
my rom comes with EXTrom - does that mean I skip point 10 ?
