Over at the voque forums i saw an nbh editor and android roms?
I know not to nag about android roms but is this possible for the raphael too?
I dont just wanna dump this nbh file from a voque forum and install it on my raphael becoz that wouldn't work right? How can we make a rom?

See this thread about the NAND... essentially there's still some pieces of hardware that are initialized by WinMo. When the devs are ready, they will work out a NAND. In time, just not yet...

Not sure where to put this because it is not WM6 nor for the Hermes, but here's a link to the Elf 6.1 rom as provided by Pumpiron579.
I haven't tried to extract it yet - but it might be interesting to see what apps are included.

Hi Matt,
If anyone is interested in trying whatever new apps are in this rom, I've made it a bit easier to experiment by breaking it down into the constituent OEM and SYS folders.
As the experienced know, Bepe's package tool doesn't always do a 100% job of isolating individual packages, but often you can get away with directly replacing the folders from one rom into another.

Say - do we have a good tool yet that I'm clueless to? I tried HyperCore, but with no luck. I'm curious how the image is constructed differently, and why / what benefit it is in these changes.
There's lots of nifty new stuff popping up and, well, dumping and discovering can be fun sometimes (better than corn in poo for a 2 year old!)
You can dump it easily with imgfs -kaiser command.
Is this officially final version from HTC without need of being cracked?

hi i have been searching the web and xda in particular to see if a wm6 rom exists for the htc panda nothing seems to exist.
i would be very grateful if anyone could advise if a rom exists or if anyone would be able to put together a rom that will work
failing that i am a complete rom noob any advice on where to start if i want to put one together myself (but dont want to brick my phone)

U can try but 1st do u have the rom??? or any upgrade rom?
if not u hv to find a tools ... u can try using this tool

cheers for being the only one to respond, i know there are a lot of panda users who are likely to be following this
the problem for me and probably most others is as follows, i can pull the wm5 rom from my argon, but beyond that i am lost, will any wm6 rom work? and what do i need to keep from the wm5 build.
i admit building the rom is beyond my skill, will try but unlike hexediting an app, i make a mistake i brick my device.
will give your advice a try but can you reccomend a base wm6 rom i could use and also what files do i need to keep?

I am also currently trying to cook a custom ROM for HTC PAND100.
I have an O2 XDA Argon and am trying to get HTC rom onto it.
although this is beyond my skill level also, the tools supplied by the likes of buzz/pof/etc (sorry for the ppl I missed) make this quite easy
Im am very close to cracking it but need a copy of an O2 rom image.
Is there an easy way to extract the ".nb" files from my device? e.g buzz' tool that dumps a ".bin" file or an easier method?
I have a copy of the HTC RUU and extracted ".nb" files if anyone requires this for comparison/wants to swap sum Panda files.

but in kitchen files there are number 18533 and it is XiaoQiao Beta 0.1
so i don't know if this is 19400 build

I downloaded it in 1 of the chinese website .. had to use google translator .
Has anyone had a chance to dump the 19400 ROM available here to see if it has the same 18533 files?
Just been looking at this source, and it doesn't look like it creates a working ROM... Even just unraring it and letting it run at it's own defaults (as it uses some dudes custom kitchen/build OS process - which is half in chinese), and doesn't seem to work correctly even after flashing...
I tried to re-jig it all for my current setup for my ROMs, but I still can't get it to boot correctly...
Trying to pull apart what it creates, and even NBHTool crashes when building the NBH file using the output of this dump...

ohh .. sorry for the wrong info/dump, just trying to help the community here.
That's ok - it's good that people find this stuff and post it!
It may be that it works ok after some massaging and hacking it together - however I just couldn't get it working. That being said, someone else who knows more than me might have a better chance...
I have a feeling it's the XIP somewhere - but not 100% sure what...

already coocked, flashed and dumped rom is still protected?
coz i having trobles with kaiser tools im getting error at this point:
Choose the KaiserKitchen folder, Go
You may get different errors, but yes, roms are protected. Few cooks are providing kitchens, few are not locking. Too few IMHO..... as the software itself is not their property anyway....
Shipped roms are not protected - you can try how it goes with shipped rom, then you will know what to expect.

I downloaded the rom, and I think that it is only an English ROM (409).

This ROM, by a photo, is very similar on 'Rose' ROM. Who can tell me, thats langs included in this ROM?

I need some help. I have the HTC Maple/Snap/Captain latest rom from Tmob... I need someone with seasoned experience in ROM dev to remove a timebomb in the ROM. I can give instruction on the hex values to change but I just don't have time to do this. If someone will PM me I can provide a one time link to the ROM. All I ask is that the timebomb be removed this weekend and the ROM returned to me clean. If someone can help me then you'll have a clean ROM to hack to your hearts content.

I would very much be interested in an extracted XIP as well...
There is NO timebomb....
I think that with a simple Hex Editing with OS.nb, we should be able to extract the XIP...
You can get it with XIP Tools.
Try my XIP, I PM you the link. I managed to dump it with XIPport. Send me some feedback if it works.
Heres the link: XIP.bin, I haven't tried it yet but I did manage to extract/dump it using XIPport...
Here is new xip 21040 for Excalibur. It's working ok.
