will anybody make some tutorial for beginners with all tolls
dump rom is easy now all i need to now what should i do with those 4 raw files... id like to cook that dumped rom and make my own!
i have seen this tutorial but thats for kaiser...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=337066
may i use it for diamond rom with same kiaser tools???
ty all
it's correct, you can use some kaiser tools
ty
already coocked, flashed and dumped rom is still protected?
coz i having trobles with kaiser tools im getting error at this point:
Choose the KaiserKitchen folder, Go
You may get different errors, but yes, roms are protected. Few cooks are providing kitchens, few are not locking. Too few IMHO..... as the software itself is not their property anyway....
Shipped roms are not protected - you can try how it goes with shipped rom, then you will know what to expect.
Good luck!

Not sure where to put this because it is not WM6 nor for the Hermes, but here's a link to the Elf 6.1 rom as provided by Pumpiron579.
I haven't tried to extract it yet - but it might be interesting to see what apps are included.

Elf Rom OEM and SYS
Hi Matt,
If anyone is interested in trying whatever new apps are in this rom, I've made it a bit easier to experiment by breaking it down into the constituent OEM and SYS folders.
As the experienced know, Bepe's package tool doesn't always do a 100% job of isolating individual packages, but often you can get away with directly replacing the folders from one rom into another.
Elf Rom 6.1 OEM and SYS
Have fun!
Thanks! I wanted to poke around in it, but have too many projects burning to learn the scoop on dumping the 6.1's yet.
Say - do we have a good tool yet that I'm clueless to? I tried HyperCore, but with no luck. I'm curious how the image is constructed differently, and why / what benefit it is in these changes.
There's lots of nifty new stuff popping up and, well, dumping and discovering can be fun sometimes (better than corn in poo for a 2 year old!)
You can dump it easily with imgfs -kaiser command.
Is this officially final version from HTC without need of being cracked?

hi Cruzz,
cheers for being the only one to respond, i know there are a lot of panda users who are likely to be following this
the problem for me and probably most others is as follows, i can pull the wm5 rom from my argon, but beyond that i am lost, will any wm6 rom work? and what do i need to keep from the wm5 build.
i admit building the rom is beyond my skill, will try but unlike hexediting an app, i make a mistake i brick my device.
will give your advice a try but can you reccomend a base wm6 rom i could use and also what files do i need to keep?
cheers
Chris
Same situation
I am also currently trying to cook a custom ROM for HTC PAND100.
I have an O2 XDA Argon and am trying to get HTC rom onto it.
although this is beyond my skill level also, the tools supplied by the likes of buzz/pof/etc (sorry for the ppl I missed) make this quite easy
Im am very close to cracking it but need a copy of an O2 rom image.
Is there an easy way to extract the ".nb" files from my device? e.g buzz' tool that dumps a ".bin" file or an easier method?
I have a copy of the HTC RUU and extracted ".nb" files if anyone requires this for comparison/wants to swap sum Panda files.
Cheers people.

Hi there!
I've dumped the rom from my Diamond, and I want to rebuild the rom. All procedures I find, states the need of a donor rom.
Most guides explains you can take any ruu_signed.nbh, and use it to cook my own, but will I then loose the localization? As I need to cook Norwegian ROMs...
And is it possible to reconstruct a rom entirely from my raw dumps instead of using a donor nbh?

*err* Wrong username
*SOLVED*
For information:
The donor nbh will not affect localization.
my friend just recently bought diamond and everything is in korean(he can't read korean) i'm going to get his phone tomm and install hardspl, dump the rom and make a minor modification on his oem korean rom. i'm not asking how to do it, since i found most of info here in xda, but i am asking you for tips. i have never flashed rom nor dumped rom before. any tips you can give me, that will be great. after i dump the rom, i will try to post it up so that everyone can take a look at if they want to.
p.s one quick questions....is it possible to change tf3d's language only? i've been hearing that diamond in korea can't use custom rom because it uses diff xip and radio. if that's the case, is it possible to forward xip and radio from korean rom to custom rom? please any tips can be helpful REALLY!!!
Usually, when you make a custom ROM, only this part gets flashed, which means, your radio stays intact, unless you explicitly add a radio to flash also.
XIP usually accompanies an OS build.
Your device should work just fine as long as you don't make a mish mash of the os files, and as long as you preserve your OEMDrivers (along with any operator provxmls).
If you need any help, just dump the rom, upload it to mediafire or filefactory and PM me.

i have successfully dumped the sk rom and i am posting up in rapidshare. i will post the link soon as it's done =)
Hello Guys!
I just recognized that Windows Mobile 6.5 is very fast and that it also doesn't need as much memory as 6.1. But in every 6.5 ROM I found there's something missing I would like to have in.
Where can I get a WM6.5 Kitchen? The best would be when it is with the latest build available.
I Just don't know where to get this, and I never cooked before, just want to try with it (don't ask me why, I just want to)
It would be very nice if someone can give me a link for a kitchen.
Thanks in advance
regards
Fireblade310
danny_and_2 created a kitchen based on the 21500 build which you can find here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=503128.
Im also currently trying to create a kitchen based on the Stock HTC 2.03 rom and build 21501 using Ervius' Visual Kitchen but haven't been able to successfully port the XIP yet (device doesn't boot).
Thank you for your answer, I will have a look on it.
To prevent damages because of a non booting device the best way is to flash test roms via customRUU and to place a working diamimg.nbh on the internal storages, or is there any other way?
Regards
Fireblade310
I tend to leave a copy of the stock htc rom on the internal storage (as DIAMIMG.nbh) and flash my test roms using customRUU, that way i can always get my device up and running again quickly if things dont quite work out.
