Tilt 2 Android: Does not pull network - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Android Development

I've searched around and found that some people solved this by adding the APN settings. I have tried to type all of the settings in and add the APN yet when I hit save nothing saves. Any solutions?

u have to enter in APN settings manually. Save . back out. then put on airplane mode. boot into windows. then boot back into Android. take off airplane mode, then hopefully, u should be good to go.

So put the APN settings, put airplane on, pull battery, start in windows, turn airplane off and it should be fine? When i manually input the APN settings should it show in the APN menu because I dont see anything after saving it.

Yea tried this, still no signal

Do you mean that you are getting absolutely no signal or only no internet.

hol up, what device do u have? is it Gsm or Cmda? extra steps are needed if u have cmda service, thats the tp 2. i have the tilt 2, which is on Gsm. after u entered apn settings, did u press menu to save? then put in airplane mode. then hold the End button to power down. once u power down, it automatically reboots into WM. then go bck into Android, take off airplane mode, and hopefully good to go. if u have cdma, u might have to do that sim card trick/step.

What do you input for APN settings for GSM ATT service?
I am getting no service.
If willing to help me, and need more info, check http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=903967&page=2
Thanks!
EDIT: OK found info, but still just says searching, I will keep trying to get the APN in the settings.

[Q] shut down mobile network

Hey guys, Know someone a way to shut down the network?
After i install a new rom, the phone connect to the network [data] and uses it, before i can install the setings.
I use only wifi , so i dont want to get charged for using data.
?
Just pull notifications panel down, and turn off mobile network.
I mean, after a new rom and boot, you will have the opportunity to set you settings, like which country, synchro, google account etc. in that list is also connect to wifi.
I am wanting to skip the settings and strait to turn off network, before it is connecting to network and costs me money.

This should help...
1) Dial *#*#4636#*#*
2) Select "Phone information"
3) Select SUB Menu then select "More"
4) Select "Disable data on boot"
5) Reboot and Enjoy!
ah, thank you sir!!
One question then, this setting, does it stay after a new rom install?
Well it doesn work after all.
Did a new rom instal and it connects right after i logged on my sim code.
Too bad then...

Need some radio help please!

Long time lurker here, hello
I bought a Galaxy Note 2 for AT&T off CL. I got it for a good deal. When I bought it, the guy had it running on Net10 and had a custom ROM (cleanrom) on it. I put my AT&T sim into it and the radio was wonky. Would keep dropping signal and only get on EDGE or GPRS. So I reverted it back to stock by flashing the stock image via ODIN. I even flashed the newest AT&T radio and now it gets LTE, but it is still off and on.
I'm at my desk and after I power it on, it takes a couple minutes to grab signal and gets LTE. Keeps it and then drops it again to one bar and is on EDGE. I put the same SIM into my S3 and it grabs onto LTE almost instantly and stays on it.
What am I doing wrong?
Check APN settings to ensure that you only have one listed.. Then edit the "APN type" field and change it to this..
default,admin,fota,mms,supl,hipri,internet
Make sure to select menu key - save or it won't save. Then reboot phone and how does it react?

I`m pretty sure if he ODIN`ed right it would be the RIGHT APN settings....
But you need to make sure you DID a factory reset before and after odin sometimes when flashing from a non stock rom and flash with a stock rom sometimes stuff will still be there if I didnt wipe everything.
Also APN`s would not cause phone call nor service drops, dont need an apn to get service or Phone calls.

CDMA not working

I'm afraid my CDMA radio is broken. (At home my LTE signal isn't strong enough.)
I only used it half a day before sending my Verizon HTC One to Colorodo for S-OFF. The signal then seemed fine. I didn't set it up until i got a case for it yesterday. First i installed the GPE by newtoroot (because it was smallest to download) and everything seemed fine but i honestly don't remember, then installed the other 2 custom roms both only giving me LTE only.
Things i've tired so far that haven't worked:
1. I restored my nandroid of the Stock, but got the same thing.
2. I've tried all the custom roms but still can't get CDMA to connect.
3. I tried the RUU, (since a few parts of it are corrupt, i had to leave out system and recovery) then flashed a custom rom
4. I changed some settings in the ##778# menu (copying my Inc 4g)
5. I've installed LTE on off to easily change radio options.
6. I've tried a different sim from another verizon smart phone line
I've also tried combinations of those, but still have not gotten my CDMA to connect.
Does anyone have any other ideas for me?
Also, if someone doesn't mind giving me their settings in the EPST menu (##778# then edit mode) for CDMA Settings, and Modem Settings, I'd appreciate it.
Here's the CDMA and Modem info from my EPST menu. I'm not rooted or S-OFF though so I'm not sure if there will be a difference.
CDMA:
A-Sys Primary: 283
B-Sys Primary: 384
A-Sys Secondary: 691
B-Sys Secondary: 777
MOB_TERM_FOR_HOME: Enable
MOB_TERM_FOR_SID: Enable
MOB_TERM_FOR_NID: Enable
EVRC Enabled: Enable
Home Page: EVRC
Home Orig: EVRC
Roam Orig: EVRC
MODEM:
Slot Cycle Index: 2
Preferred Serving System: Automatic
Preferred Mode: Automatic
HDR Hybrid Preferred: Enable
Clear All MRU Entry: No
Rev. A: eHRPD
1X Diversity: Disable
Good luck! :good:
ok, now i'm getting 3g (CDMA) so i feel like it might not be a broken radio, but it does tell me that i'm roaming and when i make a call I get verizon wanting me to enter a credit card. When i switch to 4g it doesn't tell me that i'm roaming but when I make a call then it immediately disconnects and data works fine (I think verizon still uses CDMA for voice).
I would much appreciate another favor if someone doesn't mind giving me their settings in the EPST menu (##778# then edit mode) for Home SID/ NID

#1 is 26392/65535
all the rest are 0/0
hope this helps.
My Home SID/NID #1 says 73/65535
I'm thinking that and the A-Sys/B-Sys numbers are by region which might be why your phone thinks you're roaming.

Mine said 2004/65535
but that doesn't seem to help anyway.
What did help was changing my prl to an older version, but i'm still not entirely sure what happened and why my phone messed up like it did.
I was able to fixed my problem with the newest decripted ruu from zarboz found here
once i ruu'ed i turned off fast boot in power settings and i turned on gps then i did 2 factory resets. 1 from the rom and 1 from the bootloader.
edit. sorry if i duplicated post in other threads, i just hope when someone else has the problem then it's easy to find and fix.

How do you set a custom APN?

I just got a brand new unlocked HTC 10 today straight from HTC.com. My cellular carrier is Red Pocket Mobile - an AT&T MVNO.
I connected the phone to WiFi and applied the system update for Nougat. I'm trying to set my APN for Red Pocket and it's forcing me to pick a carrier from a list that doesn't include Red Pocket. I select AT&T to get passed this and it allows me to add my APN settings. It won't let me actually switch to that APN though. There's a lock icon next to the AT&T settings and it doesn't seem to want me to change.
I've never seen this behavior on an Android phone before. Is this something new for Nougat? Is there something simple I'm missing here?
Thank you for any assistance
PS: See the attached screenshot. Notice that there's no radio button for me to click on next to the APN I've entered.
The answer is you have to select "US Travel SIM" from the list of carriers for it to allow you to switch APNs. Of course I figure it out minutes after asking for help.. :silly:
In my defense, it's not real obvious.
EDIT: I am so confused. I selected US Travel and input all the APN data. It doesn't allow me to select it now. It allows me to when I don't fill it out entirely though.
EDIT 2: The instructions I have from Red Pocket instruct me to set APN Type to: Default, mms, supl It seems like putting this in disallows me from using the APN for some reason. I hope it'll work without this setting.

XZ2 Compact APNs Locked?

I've been using my XZ2 Compact on Verizon since it was released. No issues. Switched to Total Wireless today, and my internet will not work. Voice and text works fine. Total Wireless operates on Verizon's network. This SIM card works fine when I put it into a Google Pixel.
My APN settings are locked (there is no "+" button). Automatically updating the APN settings adds a Verizon profile that is totally different than the one that automatically popped up on my Pixel. I can delete the existing APN profile, but I cannot add one. I've restarted the phone many times, both while connected to WiFi and not. I get internet back immediately if I reboot with the Verizon SIM.
I've searched around the interwebs, and I cannot find anything. Any help would be appreciated.

I use another mvno and the part that's most important is 'apn name' when using an mvno mine has to be set to say reseller... Have you tried pressing download internet settings? That usually fixes the problem and bring back the plus or allow you to manually change the apn setting after it downloads it. Take it you aren't using the dual sim as sometimes switching the Sims around brings back the apn menu.
Thanks for the insight. I have tried downloading settings several times, it just bring back the "VZWINTERNET" APN.
It is a single SIM US model.
I have not tried renaming the APN. That is the one thing I can edit on it.

Does total wireless publish the apn settings? Sometimes ios/android uses slightly different settings. Just look at what apn name should be, and try to match it up..

I'll try that as soon as I get home, thanks!
I can't believe it! Changing APN Name to "TRACFONE.VZWENTP" is all that was needed. Thanks a bunch!
