Auto locking every time you turn off - Desire General

Please can anyone suggest a way to stop the Desire from locking and demanding a password everytime you turn it off.
I use Exchange server mail and I think this has forced this issue.
I have found a way to turn this off, but this is not good enough as there is no security at all.
What I would like is for the phone to demand a password only after a prescribed period of time say 30 minutes.
Any ideas.
Sam

Need a program to turn of phone at night

I'm looking for a program that I can program to turn off the phone funcion on my HD at a predetermined time, and then turn it on without asking for pin code.
I searched alot on internet and here in this forum but I found nothing.
Thanks for the help.
Inesoft contact application does that I think.
SPB Phone Suite does it.
Enable automatic rules, and setup the "time base" mode as you wish.
i use it to turn the phone off at night and open it in the morning.
For that purpose I am currently using SKSchema which must be the most powerful scheduler for the WinMo platform out there.
Be warned that it requires quite some trial&errors depending of your final objectives but if it stay with shutting down the Touch HD, that will quite easy to configure even for the casual tweaker.
Try this free software:

Works like a charme.
Hi Vanstra
how did you use the GProfile to schedule the phone to shutdown and boot up daily at specific time ? coz i was fiddling with GProfile , it can do time based events , but i couldnt find a way to tell it to shut the phone down
i was also looking for such a program.
The best for me and easy to use is RadioScheduler.
You can use it for Network and Bluetooth Control at special time.
Pin can be set, so that the phone automaticly turn on.
If you are looking for a prog for automatic softreset at time then use ResetScheduler. (but no support for saving PIN, i use may sim-card without PIN)
I'm using rk-sleep. Doesn't always wake the phone up though.

[Q] Logging out when shut off glitch

My son has one of these phones and every time he runs his battery dead, the next time he turns his phone on he has to log back into his google account. It's not immediate but if he goes to use voice search it pops up.
The easy solution would be to charge the phone before the battery dies.
Thanks there Captain Obvious

GN Does't go to sleep when inactive

Hi all,
My Nexus has been doing something a bit weird the past few days... The display is set to go to sleep after 30 seconds of inactivity (and yes, I've triple checked it) though recently it has just been staying on the whole time until I press the power button. I tried a few things, like switching the inactivity time to 15 seconds, or trying it whether plugged in or not, but it still stays on. It's a bit annoying because I'm concerned for privacy if I leave it on my desk (in a college dorm room) while I'm out for a few minutes and it doesn't go to sleep, or for battery if I put it in my pocket and never turns off. Anybody have similar problems or solutions?
Thanks
To me, it sounds like an app is misbehaving, and thus keeping your phone awake... have you tried removing all of your apps except the essentials (gapps) and see if this problem still persists?
Yes so I just turned it off and back on; working better now thanks!

Wifi automation

For couple weeks I'm trying to find a way automaticly turn on wifi for like a half min, while the screen is off, and then turn it back off. You know, just sync quickly with social media, emails, etc, but still not connect all the time, to save battery. But I can not do it... I tried numerous app from the Play(even bought Tasker...), but non off it works, when I turn off my screen its just wont connect to wifi no matter what. Maybe its related to Stamina mode, but I'm not sure.
Any suggestion how to resolve this?

Notifications disabled after 30 minutes under WiFi only

Hello everybody,
sorry to bother this community, but I have a weird issue with the phone. My nephew gave me the Motorola G7 Play and when I am under any wifi (tried many) I do not received any notification. This does not happen immediately, but after the screen remains off for at least 30 minutes.
As advised from the assistance we have reset the phone at least twice and nothing has changed.
Do you have any idea if there are any tricky setting or application that are causing the issue?
Please, let me know if there is a quick fix, otherwise I will keep using 4G only as I am doing at the moment, this way there are no issues at all.
Have a nice day,
Cosetta
It might be memory management or there is a battery optimization setting that sends the phone to sleep when using wifi to conserve battery... Take a look deeper in the settings and perhaps turn off battery optimisation for apps that you need to keep receiving notifications for.
