[Q] Logging out when shut off glitch - HTC Wildfire S

My son has one of these phones and every time he runs his battery dead, the next time he turns his phone on he has to log back into his google account. It's not immediate but if he goes to use voice search it pops up.

The easy solution would be to charge the phone before the battery dies.

Thanks there Captain Obvious

Crash -> Black Screen -> Battery Pull

I'm getting a crash once every 3-4 days on average that requires a battery pull. So far I've had it happen while receiving a Whatsapp message, replying to a Google+ notification, and most recently, while listening to music.
I know I am not alone because I have seen a few other threads talking about similar issues. I am wondering how widespread this is however while I try to decide whether to return the phone or not. Are any of you running for a long period of time (1 week or more) without any instability?
I've had it happen to me a couple of times too, once when playing a movie in Diceplayer, and accidentally push the power button, causing the screen to go blank, then I couldn't turn it back on. Had to pull the battery. Had it happen to me again this morning, can't remember what I had done prior to it happening, though. Anyway, I did not have the time to pull the battery, so I just tried it again a couple of minutes later, and it woke up, all was normal again.
Happened twice only since November 25th to me.
I've had the phone now for a couple of weeks and have yet to have a crash.
My phone crashed two times in one week. Booth times when i closed a game.
Just take into consideration that most of these crashes are due to incompatibility between ICS and apps that don't officially support it yet. Not as much due to the device itself. So returning it and getting a phone running gingerbread won't solve the crashed when that phone eventually gets ICS....
I get it every few days too. Crash followed by what looks like the phone trying to reboot, but screen just goes dead and I need to pull battery to restart it.
i have had this too a few times. the screen just turns off, and won't turn back on. have to pull the battery before i can turn it back on.
this last time, i was just in the sms app, reading a message. i noticed the text was rendering strangely, with sort of colours around the edges of the letters, as if it was a low-res screen. then just as i tapped the message, to try to see if the rendering would change if i highlighted it, the screen turned off, and the phone seems to be dead, requiring a battery pull before i am able to turn it back on.
i haven't pulled the battery yet, and the phone is still sitting apparently dead. however i also notice that despite the screen being off, and it sitting here for a while doing what seems like nothing, the top half of the phone is actually pretty hot (front and back). not due to the screen having been on either, because the bottom half is cold.
Try turning off the eq in the music player. Worked for me it seems.

Based on the replies received so far, I think it is fair to say that these crashes are most likely related to software issues (as opposed to hardware). I guess patience is due while our bleeding edge technology stabilizes..
me too
Yes, i have also had a crash twice in the one week that I have had sgn which required a battery pull to turn the phone back on. I think the first time, I was in the settings and it looked like a few pixels were going crazy then screen went black and I had to pull battery. Then about 5 days later, I was not using the phone but when I went back to it, the screen was black and I couldn't turn it on untill battery pull. Watching this thread with interest.
Had it a few minutes ago with Facebook. Had just opened it when it turned black. No button responded. Eventually managed to get back in menu. Considered removing the app.

Didn't have a black screen so far, but had it freeze 3 times in the week that I own it (2x Google Maps, 1x in Gallery when pressing home button). Screen stays just as it is, no corruption, no dimming, no response to anything.
I had similar problems guys and horrible battery life. It is 100% an app you downloaded.
Do a complete wipe or figure out which app it is one by one. I did the second method and I only lose 1% of battery life an hour on standby.
Completely stock GN with 4.0.3 - never rooted, locked bootloader

[Q] Why does my HOX screen turn on by himself

Today, when checking my phone's battery drain (because I suspected something was wrong since it drained about 20% in just 5 hours, beeing in deep sleep) I found that my screen was on for 1.30h.
That was very weird because I have used the phone for little time and couldn't understand why my HOAX reported 1.30h of screen time.
So I made a test. Kept looking at the screen and... voila! I found that it turns on by himself for apparently no reason since I didn't even touched it.
I digged into any opened apps and closed them all but the screen keeps turning on randomly. Even weired, when it turns on, if I press the on/off button to force it beeing off, it turns on again immediately.
What can be causing this behaviour? Anyone with a similar experience that could give an advise?
Thank you a lot
Salomao
The phone trolls u.
But seriously, try with wipe. If it don't work, try Google search.

[Q] HELP! Battery Low Notfication CRAZY!

Hello all,
I recently updated my Galaxy Nexus to Bixie's stock 4.2.2 and my phone is going nuts. First of all it's draining battery really quickly, even though I'd wiped caches and essentially done a factory reset. When I plug it in to charge it takes a minute or so before the "charge" notification kicks in. The opposite occurs when I unplug it.
But, by far the CRAZIEST thing it does is once the battery hits 15% I start getting a battery low notification/popup like mad. It essentially spams the hell out of me to the point that the phone is utterly and completely unusable. I dismiss, 2 seconds later it pops up, rinse and repeat.
Oh also, the battery usage meter where it tells you how long it's been on battery and breaks down the apps that are using how much battery. That value never changes at all.
Please help!
Of course, thanks to all those that even attempt to give an appropriate solution.

Okay so I reset back to factory. Unrooted, Locked, and installed a factory image from Google. Then it forced me to updated to 4.2.2. Now the notification issue is gone, BUT the phone NEVER SLEEPS. I press the power to turn off the screen and immediately it turns back on... anyone have any ideas?

G3 turning off and restarting, even with a brand new battery

Hello, I have a problem with my G3. My battery life in general is quite normal, but once I am under 50% of battery, the phone tends to restart itself or turn off completely randomly. Not quite randomly, it always happens when something battery-consumptive happens. For example, when I am recieving a call, taking photos, or using apps like Google Snapseed, etc.
If I am under 50% or so, it happens sometimes. The phone starts ringing and sometimes I don't pick up the phone in time and it just restarts (automatically shows LG logo, etc.). Even more frustrating is that the missed call is not in the call history, so if I do not have a clear view of the phone screen I do not know at all who was calling.
If I am under 30% the phone is technically unusable. I can browse web, facebook or text via messenger without any problem, but I can't recieve a single call. The phone starts ringing, and in two seconds it restarts. The same happens with camera, once I am under 30, the phone restarts always, when I take a photo.
Sometimes the phone turns off completely, and the only way to turn it back on is to 1) take out the battery or 2) plug in to a charger.
I was assuming this was a battery fault, so I bought a brand new one (original LG G3 battery), but the problem persist.
Do you have any tips on how to fix this? Thank you very much

Phone turns off when unplugged from charger.

After charging phone to 100 it will only work for short time and then it will randomly shuts down (usually the moment u use it, like unlocking the screen or getting a call). And then it wont turn on until u start charging. Sometimes when u plug it back in battery is at ~90%, sometimes it goes back to 0. I was thinking it was battery's fault but almost every time this happens my phone does some kind of soft reset, sometimes my themes reset back to stock, sometimes my saved wifi dissapear, notification settings reset, etc. Phone has the screen replaced a year ago too if that could add to it.
You can try to revert it to stock, but most probably is a battery problem.
I've been using my phone for 3 years already and a half year ago I noticed that id didn't hold a charge when the battery went below 30 % . it randomly shut down below 30 % epsecially when I tried to take photos or use flash (that require high Amperage) . Sometimes it restarted itself after unexpected shut down and as I noticed dalvik cache was formatted/deleted. so I had to login to my google account set themes and etc. after I upgradet to 7.0 every unexpected shut down began to worry me becaouse even app data began to dissapear. So a week ago I ordered a new battery and now I am relieved . in my opinion it's 100% battery problem .
Definitely a dead battery. 3 years is a long time for these batteries. You did well to get that long from it!.
Thank you for this thread. I was starting to go loopy because I thought it may have been some app. Same issue and I need to find a battery guy.
