Hi Guys, I've been trying to transfer my sms from my old n95 8gb to my desire but without success!! can someone please help?
I found a site showing how to do it but with Python and i can seem to get it to work (the programming aspect)
so any help will be most appreciated!

Do you have all your contacts in .vcf files?
If you have it, copy all of them to your sd card and import with HTC People.
its not the contacts its the SMS/Txts/Messages i want to transfer!

Just replying to say that I wanted to do the same thing but couldn't find any way to do it. I tried a program called Sprite Migrate that claimed to do it but the conversion on the PC always failed. In the end I just had to text the ones I wanted to my new number.
Thanks. Basically I have a method but am stuck at converting from.txt to.xml using a language called python. Once I can do that ill be fine! :-(
I googled and found a method. It's by some guy called thilo-alexander. He has a blog of some sort

I get the message "your license for running mobidiv products on this device has expired..." Yet, there doesn't appear any obvious way to install a license/key. The citglobal.mobi website isn't much help.

I bought her the phone from the UK and HTC will not let me install the mobidiv package that is available....is there a solution for this?
I feel like a nitwit, but I am not sure what to do with the files....there are about 6 cabinet files that downloaded and when I open the Windows Mobile Device Center and go to install new programs, they are not located there...when I click on one of the files it opens another folder...when I click on setup it asks me where I want to extract but my computer will not extract anything...
any help please??!!

if you can read arabic, here is the two main topics foryou to get the "Arabic Support" so that you can read arabic and receives arabic SMS.
the first one by TSD:
The thread also contains the Arabic Bundle of applications (Dictionary, Quran, Prayers, Calendar). Make sure you read before u start downloading or installing anything

Hey Dr. Basem:
Unfortunately I cannot read arabic. My wife can but she doesn't understand how these things work. I downloaded the files from the URL taiseer provided:\

So, then I unzipped the folder and I have about 6 cabinet files...
I am just unsure about what to do next. Does this require that I backup the phone entirely before I install?
Do I install these things just like any other software, through the Windows Mobile Device Center?
When installed, I/She just wants to be able to view arabic text but not have everything displayed in arabic.
The last point can be addressed later, once the stuff is installed....I just want to get the software installed...
Any help would be greatly appreciated...

By the way, I've already installed Dual-Boot, but the issue now how install it without any problems.
Last thing .. If I run Android and use it always, so I will spoil the battery like this way .. ?!!

use the startup utility and then just check the path to haret.exe, if you would rather use dual boot then make sure haret in on root of sd card
and as for the battery, using android could spoil it as it would change charging habits
No, the default.txt error is happening because you don't have a startup.txt. Please copy the startup.txt over for your device per the FAQ.

One thing more .. After the Android started up v2.2 it's so slow on my TP2, and at the same time I feel that there's some problems like when you want to choose any option it won't to open .. !!

Hello guys, I found this version of WhatsApp written in Java for Symbian S40, I tried to install it in my S8500 but is very slow and I can not even complete the registration.

For getting the latest Whatsapp for S40, you just have to visit these links,

You can try and install but it won't work, because it uses a specific java class which is only available in Symbian 40 system.

Looks like SHP is not working anymore. I was on xxkk5 firmware. today i got a popup msg SHP is expired.do you want to renew the service? i pressed yes and it tries to open a webpage and display 404 not found error. After that i became unable to send or recieve emails. it says email ceritificate expired. I thought may be url have been changed so i flashed with latest xxla1 fw by nexus. But problem persist. Its sad if it cant be resolved. Do anyone else have this prob?

Same problem. I can't even receive mails on manual sync now!
same here....is samsung cracking the whip???
My social hub premium is still working. Emails, SNS, Messengers are all working (updates are automatically recieved, chats messages sent and received, ...). No changes or stoppage noticed so far.
EDIT:
Today, I am beginning to observe same problem of "...EXpired Certificate... Renew License...Error 404: Page Not found, etc"
It appears now that it's a general problem. Samsung is possibly stopping the service country by country.
I did a full flash right now and it is working fine for me... maybe there is a problem with the firmware version that you are using, currently i am at KL6.

Okay guys socialhub premium still works its just that samsung has changed tge activation server address thats it. You can use our custom rom elite v2.0 in which we have fixed this problem

What's the difference? It's the same URL we used for a long time.
if the url is same then looks like we are in problem. many people says that their shp is working and some people like me are lost. May be samsung is blocking one by one using people IMEI (just my guess though). I have tried older fw again but no luck.
Please check Firmware Version.
It seems some newer Certs are used...
Maybe few Certs are ends in 2012...

Maybe only 1 cert is to installed and then every Firmware work again...
Check folder Security\CM\Cert
...
But I NOT use SHP. So I can't support search...

Make your hidden folders visible, with QuB for instance and check on handset.

3) Compress y upload the resulting .zip or .rar

Firstly, How can I root this version of SGW? I don't want to mess anything up cause I'm new to this and have limited knowledge.

On my old phone with symbian, the best way i find to export my contacts with windows interface, when you connect your symbian device you can save your contacts on *.contact
this extension is easy to migrate your contacts information to android phones.
On my case its worked, just lost the image that i linked manually

Thank you very much but I managed to transfer my contacts and the trouble I'm facing now was with the text messages not the contacts
