I've been a silent lurker of the XDA forums for a while, whenever I have phone issues, this is where I usually find my answer, so thanks for all the informative posts.
I recently bought a HTC Touch Pro 2 on an auction, excellent deal, however the ROM is in Dutch I've been looking around the forums to try and get the latest official UK ROM for the phone. HTC site won't let me and offers me the latest Dutch ROM which is on there already.
If someone could tell me how to get hold of the latest official HTC UK ROM, without operator extra's, just the WM6.5 with Sense, I'd be a very happy camper indeed.

Just found that after I posted the message Was about to mention that in this post that I had found it, when I saw it was moved. Thanks for pointing me in the direction though.
I do have a question about the ROM, there are quite a few differences in the ROMS, does that have any bearing on functionality?
UK HTC: HTC RHOD100 n/a 1.86.401.0 (67102)WWE 4.49.25.17 61.44tc.25.32U 5.2.21854
NL HTC: HTC RHOD100 n/a 2.07.404.1 (80303)NLD 4.49.25.91 61.44etc.25.35U 5.2.21887
The NLD one will be in Dutch.
You need a WWE one and either a Goldcard or Hard SPL to flash it.
Why not try a custom ROM ?

2.07.404.1 (80303) is the latest official ROM with Sense 2.5 (95% similar to the one on the HD2 with animated weather on homescreen, quicklinks, better calendar etc).
1.86.401.0 (67102) is with, iirc, Sense 2.1.
Both has WM 6.5
HTCpedia has a Sense 2.5 European ROM here (yes it's official!). You need to use HSPL though.

Only WM6 in french are FAMAN versions as far as I know - go with his V3 (bugs fixed since V2)
SFR ROM and HTC ROMs are Wm5

WM5 only - WM6 is available on Dopod operator for SE Asia or ANZ. Not in Europe - no official WM6 ROM from Orange, SFR, HTC etc ... yet

Because which rom is best for you depends on your need/expectations etc.

Try them all 4 a week and then:
A. decide which one you want
or
B. as soon as you flash one that works flawless, stick with that one

Of course it is what i have tried, I wanted to confirm with other point of views and share different feelings.
My choise is clear : FAMAN 3.1 but I wanted to be sure that i have not forget any other software version.

I'm not quite sure if your question has been answered.
What I get is that you are looking for different opinions about the different roms. My advice is to go to the thread where the rom that you want to know about is published. There you can find all the opinions you want.

I have an o2 Xda Diamond DIAM300, bought from Germany. I flashed the developer version of Olinex HardSPL (confirmed by SPL 1.40 Olinex in the tri-color screen). What I need now is a WWE rom to flash. I tried 2-3 1.93.xx roms from here :http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=400411, but they all stop at 1% progress into the flash (as if I've no HardSPL). Any ideas?
I got the same phone, from o2. I tried the 1.4 version before i switched to the 1.93 version from olinex. Since i use this i can flash any available rom.

Thanks for this advice, I bought the same phone and want to flash it with the original 1.93 Rom from HTC.
Do you might know which Rom is the most current offical German HTC Rom and can provide me a downloadlink. On this page here are so many different links concerning this topic, that i am nearly loosing the overview

is the best version in german language. Im german too, but i use panoshas athena 0.8 rom.
I tried all available roms in the last days. Panoshas was the only cooked one without bugs, and the most stable, with a nice battery life but in english
The fastest official rom is the norwegian release, but i prefer the hk_wwe rom, which is also in english.

I will stick to the German Rom for a while, I do like to have my phone in German
It was hard for me too, to switch the language, but you can change any settings and layouts to german, including a full german tf3d. Only WM 6.1 is still in the flashed rom language.
Hiya guys, i am really new to this and just got my first WM device a few days ago from O2, i have the Diamond/Ignito, and was hoping to flash the official HTC rom onto it, however there are a few things i cant find out.
i need to know what the SMS and WEP settings are and how to input them?
Because i have the free unlimited web bolt on i dont want to occur any charges for web browsing etc.
Also do the settings apply for 3G and all the other things the Diamond supports, or are they separate?
After i know this i can start looking for a ROM, and hope i can even flash it with the ROM thats already installed.
Any help would be very much appreciated.

The new Diamond Rom 2.00.421.1 Radio Signed Diamond 52.51.25.26_1.09.25.23Test is my all time favorite, TomTom is awesome with no lag on this ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=456905, only shame is memory leak otherwise the best Diamond ROM to date, hence most cooks now using it.

Looks like PDAViet has got the core OS (1.96.710.5) and released a ROM with it http://pdaviet.net/showthread.php?t=38081
Downloading now to test, if any good I will post rapidshare link.
PDAViet also has another ROM http://pdaviet.net/showthread.php?t=40374 with a OS 1.97.172.4s although I am not sure about the cook Sonblack, but his release has the same radio as the new Diamond Rom 2.00.421.1 Radio Signed Diamond 52.51.25.26_1.09.25.23Test.
Will try to post feedback on both ROM's after testing.

I am very confused about if flashing my XDA is possible or not. Using the Board-Search for some hours now did not give me the right threads. Pershaps I am using the false keywords.
So, if there is a thread I can solve my problem with, let me know, please. If not, I hope you can help me.
For about one year I have a O2 XDA Diamon. Systeminformation is as shown below:
ROM-Version 1.37.207.3 GER
ROM-Date 06/23/08
Radio 1.00.25.03
Prtocoll-Ver 52.26a.25.09H
I never updated the ROM. As I saw, there is a new O2-Firmware-Update. But I do not like the branded style. So, I want to flash it with an actual non-branded ROM in German.
As I read in other topics, that upgrading only works with special revisions.
For example here, written by rorydaredkign
yep you have to install a hardspl, either olipro's [which i think is unreleased] or the one made by the diamond project team.
then you can flash a new rom.
however, check your rom version in settings->system->device information
if it reads 1.34.831.1
it means you have a new spl that prevents you from flashing hardspl until the experts here create a work-around.

I am using HTC Touch Diamond WM6.1 since last 1 year. I am very much interested in upgrading to WM6.5. But, I am not sure how to do that.

Just need to know if I have done right.

I've tried using the thread on how to install the HardSPL for the Diamond. So far, i have been unsuccessful. I get the black screen everytime. once i get around this i plan on upgrading to 6.5 as well. Can ya'll help me?
