I currently have about 30 programs installed on my mobile. I would like to simplify the installation process of these after a Hardreset. Is it possible to mrge them into one single Cab which will install all of the applications? Or will they then show up as only one item in the software list if I do this?

no you can't !
U can use a back up utility like sprite(Free with THD don't know about Xperia) or resco backup. Create a backup after installing all the apps U need and save it as a executable backup or as a back up set on the card. u can copy it in ur desktop also. Now anytime after a hard reset u can install those backed up apps without any other data. of course it may not work if U flash a new ROM etc.
One thing you can try is to look to see how UC works and set your cabs up that way..
You can then run it manually, copy sdconfig to /windows and run it. this way you should be able to manually run UC after installing any rom (even if it doesn't support it such as stock roms).

Im not a Cook so i dont really know how to 'cook' that thing to rom/device..
Just my 2cents, im very frustrated with re-installing all my apps everytime i upgrade to a newer version of rom. It's just pain in the ass.. Maybe the cookers can 'kindly' include the baby above in the rom. That's going to save the user alot of trouble..

main problem with cooking uc in is that it massively increases the amount of 'bugs' in a rom:
99% of the time they're down to 3rd party software and having stuff installed blindy makes things worse...
if you can get it running manually (after you've tested a new rom for a bit) then why not do that? it'll only take one click then...
i have cr stock froyo rom installed.. i get no protected apps in the market. is there any way i can fix this problem without using a pc?
Can you please expand into this question?
I dont understand.. all the apps are protected, what do you mean???
Please explain further
apps like pay pal, sleepy time do not show up in the market so far those are the only 2 that do not show up ... im the cr thread someone had posted a way to change some sort of file using adb
Hello all.
I jus rooted my I8150, i made it to be able to get some apk files. I use Root Explorer. The problem is that i can find all apk files but 1 is missing - i cant find Swype apk file - someone know where to search it ? Maybe i will add info that Swype was added in stock rom of some company "1&1" from Germany. I want to upgrade Android to 2.3.6 but i want to keep swype. Help me please.
Mmmmh, if you update Swype stays there. Anyway, I believe it's in system/apps
Y u right. After i installed new rom by Odin phone resterted and i had every application from old rom. I made wipe and now i dont have anything I made some backup with Titanium Backup but now again i need to root phone to use the files because everything from phone memory was deleted.
I have searched all about it but cant find it.
Problem is that , when i flash a ROM, google restores many previous apps which i dont need. i want that process to be done.. but only chosen apps...
so where is the setting in android.. or google ,i can delete those apk list. if you dont understand... dont just read my question ask me !!!
( 1) there is option in phone to stop backup and restore.. but i dnt want that....
2) in google dashboard also i cant find the list of apps which will be installed when i restore account in android.)
Please give me detailed answer...

You get all or Nothing.
Use Titanium backup or another app for something like this.
Lol that is the thing..

Haha .. yeah that is last thing i know... ...
I will try to find it out.. or will mail google for answers.. or change.. :cyclops::laugh:
I know a solution but not sure whether any better alternative exists. Let me explain what I do after flashing a ROM.
1. Select Backup & Restore option during initial setup so that syncing begins from google server.
2. As soon as we arrive at the Home screen we find that the Play Store has started downloading apps. (Now we want this process to be selective isn't it!! as we already have many apps in our backup and we don't want to waste our precious band width!!
3. Open play store and go to my apps.
4. In this page almost all the apps which are yet to be downloaded or downloading will be listed.
5. Click Stop ALL.
6. Now Select the app which you don't want to download and by clicking on settings button/three dots button untick Auto-update. (See the screenshot)
7. Repeat the process.
8. Once you are done. Click on Update all and choose Skip for those Apps.
