I tried on my own and after running it on new rom I get a "Parse error" type of message.
First I nandroid backup/swipe.
Then install the new rom(SPrint lovers 3.7)
Then I went right to the marketplace and downloaded TB again.
It tells me to go to settings/applications and check the install "Unknown apps install" button. so I do that.
Then I open TB again and go to batch, then I selected the restore all apps options and it gives me a error.
I read somewhere it says you have to install them one by one?
I read somewhere something about you have to mount a few programs or something?
I know I was able to do then in batch but try one by one it might work.

So I did it the correct way? i have like 200 apps to install 1 by 1 wow
Also do I suppose to have busybox installed before AND after?

I see, well can you list the steps you would take to RESTORE the saved apps because I don't know if I did it the correct way or just forgot to install a side app.
well i figured it out from the link posted above,thanks. so i'll give it one more try.
I would recommend on buying the full version. Make sure you tap on PROBLEMS and then download BusyBox. Afterwards you can hit MENU-BATCH and BACKUP USER APPS. I'd recommend not messing with any of the other options. If you flash different ROM's a lot it's better to just backup the apps ONLY.
If you were to do for example BACKUP USER APPS and SYSTEM DATA that could potentially bring a whole bunch of errors on your new ROM's and tons of Force Closes.
What I prefer to do is to manually download all my apps between ROM swaps and then using Titanium Backup to restore the data. An example of what I'm talking about is if you have a game that you regularly play, you'd want to restore your data so you don't have to go through the game again. Hope that's simple enough to understand.
You said when you try to download it from the market it says check install unknown applications? Its not suppose to do that... You must have downloaded it and tried installing through a app like astro. If so download another version and try.

Swyped from Eva running Myn's RLS4!
I update my phone with new ROMs every now and then, I like to have that option of custom ROMs, but I have a question about google play, sometimes it downloads all of my apps if it detects if I have the same ROM as last one and it auto downloads the apps I had before, but this new ROM I have it doesn't seem to this, is there any way I can just press a button and it will download all the apps I have in "My Apps" on google play, I deleted the crap I didn't need but I still have over 50 apps and I don't want to do one by one, please and thanks, sorry for my English is not that good.

Some roms allow you to backup and restore phone from Google Play account when you are going through the setup at the beginning. Best bet however would be to download Titanium Backup and backup all apps. When you flash a new rom you re-download TiBu and you can install all the apps+their data.

I'm afraid if you didn't make a nandroid or backup using TiBu, nothing. Sorry
I use cm10 that has nightly updates that I update through the settings. It doesnt effect my apps or anything. But you need to back up your apps if you change roms with titanium backup before changing roms.

Is the pro version recommended? Should I buy it? What is the difference.
The pro version is absolutely recommended. For one thing, it allows you to "freeze" apps instead of just delete them. This comes in handy when you have to re-install GAPPS because it will remember if you freeze any of the GAPPS programs whenever you re-flash GAPPS.
Also, the Pro version lets you restore all apps with just a couple button clicks. Vs. the free version which makes you click "okay" for every single app you want to restore. Gets real tiring after awhile.
Anyways. When you're installing a ROM, most will give you an option when you sign into GOOGLE for the first time. That option is whether you want Google to back up or restore your phone. If you select "restore" then it will typically re-download all your last apps to your phone.
If you want to get this option again, you might try signing out of Google on your phone and reboot and log back in. Dunno if that will do the trick or not. You may just need to reflash.

titanium backup is the famous one. it's can save your app data, so your app keep sync with your's google account.
And if you want the easy one buy thr pro version of titanium backup it can backup your apps and even automated install your apps. (If you tired on downloading all of it again )

try installing go backup or app backup, you can select the app/apps you want to backup (especially if you have updated a new one, or installed it via play store) these two are really helpful, i think you can also backup saved data in go backup but i am not sure, maybe selected data only
just download one of these, save to your sd card, install, and open ^__^
just make sure also that the backup folder created while backing up apps is in externalsdcard (if not, just copy or move the folder in it)

searched and found that only go backup works with app's data and saves them. and it needs root(which almost every custom rom on our phone has)

Auto App Organizer is able to backup non-system apps, and it even has nice additional features like:
* Automatic grouping of apps based on their Play Store categories
* Automatic tracking of app usage, enabling you to see which apps you haven't used for some time (candidates for uninstallation)
And apps you've uninstalled can be shown as 'ghost apps' in the AutoGroup folder allowing a one-click restoration from within the folder -- no more hunting for backup files
... (provided that you've backed up your apps using AAO, of course).
And AAO can backup its own settings to the SD Card, so after flashing a new ROM and/or wiping user data, all you need to pull from the Play Store is AAO, and use it to restore all apps you once used. The good part? You can restore 'as you go' (see my explanation about 'ghost apps' above)

well, go backup doesnt require root access.. ^^
and app backup also works too... maybe try to reopen the two apps and explore..

Does anyone know of a good way to automatically reinstall apps after a hard reset? Just to be clear, I want to reinstall from the Play store, not from Titanium or anything like that.
I've seen a lot of stuff indicating that that if you turn on Google Backup, it should automatically reinstall apps after a reset, but this does not seem to be happening on my 10. Thanks!
I should add that after a factory reset, the phone asks me if I want to restore apps and data from one of a list of devices. My 10 is not on the list, so maybe the problem is that the backup function is not working? I am running Viper ROM, if that matters.

do u have the "backup my data" under backup & reset settings menu enabled? also do u have the backup account set with the correct account?since your on viper then u use a custom recovery so there is an app u can use called "zipme" that creates a recovery flashable zip of any or all your apps, u just flash in recovery after reset and all ur apps are restored
Try Helium, copy the backups on internal storage to sdcard, after hard reset, copy them back, make sure you tick backup data. I haven't tried this yet, but I have restored individual apps

You have to turn on "Back up my data" & "Automatic restore".
Anther way, go to Play Store on you phone, swipe from left, go to "My apps & games", then go to the "ALL" tab (or swipe right), then long press on any uninstalled app, it will highlight it, then tap/select on all the apps you want to install (one by one), then tap "INSTALL" at the top right.

The last couple of times the backup account has shown up. Not sure what changed. However I'm using Helium and it's working well. I looked at zipme -- hasn't been updated since 2013?

I have the Mi Max, the problem came when i root my phone, after rooting, i install a good app from playstore that gives you the opportunity to unistall system apps( always i know which apps i must unistall , like gmail, weather etc ) .. in this phone when i unistall some apps the phone after reboot get in to a loop .. and never opens.. that means i must flash again the rom .. makes me very nervous because with every phone i had i done the same but never i got bootloop from this .. please tell me what to do to prevent this bootloop next time .

Don't delete apps, just freeze them.

Hi! Probably you have deleted some very important application. As I have no problem to remove I do not need the app from the system and everything works fine.

I can't believe that this is really happening.. I froze them with titanium backup but after reboot, the device got on a bootloop.. really I am thinking that xiaomi [email protected]@@ because they don't want you to uninstall system apps. I know which apps I should uninstall, of course I know. Weather/Facebook/Gmail/carousel wallpaper etc..

For miui freeze is the same that uninstall, when some critical app from system don`t work make a conflict with system. One time same it happened to me, I went to folder data with TWRP and deleted file relative TB, then reboot normally. I use an app from PlayStore Root Uninstaller by Kunkunsoft, it shows what apps you could keep

For miui freeze is the same that uninstall, when some critical app from system don`t work make a conflict with system. One time same it happened to me, I went to folder data with TWRP and deleted file relative TB, then reboot normally. I use an app from PlayStore Root Uninstaller by Kunkunsoft, it shows what apps you could keep

of course, you have two types of apps by saying someway, from Google you can delete almost all except PlayServices, PlayStore and look at in your list of apps in setting most necessary have a simple icon of green android, not a special logo by i.e. PlayMusic, those apps don`t delete cause are neccesary to download, sync or other functions relative to PlayStore and in second place you have chinese apps, strangely those with chinese letters you can delete like reader, music, books, shopping but don`t delete micloud or yellow page. This app tell you what you can delete, just be careful, don`t sweeps with all..

But how many apps did you delete, you don't more that 4 or 5 from system, wich can uninstall normal don't make conflict. I was lookinkg at this app and it seems a little extremely, says that contacts provider could be uninstall, I think that not is good, don't follow it blindly, use common sense or things go bad. Solution: this app put deleted app in a folder in sdcard, go to recovery, go to files manager and put again certain apps on /system/apps, probably just 1 or 2 be necessary.

Excuse, I was so busy, sorry for recommend this app, it`s a shame, it`s incredibly what apps could uninstall according this app.
What I mean is that this app put deleted files in a folder with same name in sdcard, you can restore them going to recovery and putting them via adb in system again and setting necessary permissions to go on again for not to flash all the rom but probably you`re not familiar with that.
Now "borned" a new build 7.1.12 that it`s better than this version, I flashed it on my device and if you install via fastboot I tell you what apps I remove and I have no problem just that system every time you power on devices warns a security risk, just click understand and go on.
All the apps that you can remove normally from settings/downloaded apps can be deleted, and the next apps that I removed if you want; From /system/app; Chrome, Drive, Duo, MiDiscover, MiPlay..From /system/priv app; MiDrop. Mipub, MiuiHome (if you don`t like, just you must have other launcher), velvet, YellowPage and these that inttegrated with system but I don`t use; Google Photos, Music, Movies, then go to recovery and wipe cache and dalvik cache

I have the same problem, i uninstalled safety, mi pay, mi credit and getapps, after that i got bootloop, i uninstalled magisk, and phone works fine, but if i try to istall magisk again, i go to bootloader after pressing reboot to system, phone works fine without magisk, but i want to have root
