Don't delete apps, just freeze them.

Hi! Probably you have deleted some very important application. As I have no problem to remove I do not need the app from the system and everything works fine.

For miui freeze is the same that uninstall, when some critical app from system don`t work make a conflict with system. One time same it happened to me, I went to folder data with TWRP and deleted file relative TB, then reboot normally. I use an app from PlayStore Root Uninstaller by Kunkunsoft, it shows what apps you could keep

of course, you have two types of apps by saying someway, from Google you can delete almost all except PlayServices, PlayStore and look at in your list of apps in setting most necessary have a simple icon of green android, not a special logo by i.e. PlayMusic, those apps don`t delete cause are neccesary to download, sync or other functions relative to PlayStore and in second place you have chinese apps, strangely those with chinese letters you can delete like reader, music, books, shopping but don`t delete micloud or yellow page. This app tell you what you can delete, just be careful, don`t sweeps with all..

But how many apps did you delete, you don't more that 4 or 5 from system, wich can uninstall normal don't make conflict. I was lookinkg at this app and it seems a little extremely, says that contacts provider could be uninstall, I think that not is good, don't follow it blindly, use common sense or things go bad. Solution: this app put deleted app in a folder in sdcard, go to recovery, go to files manager and put again certain apps on /system/apps, probably just 1 or 2 be necessary.

Excuse, I was so busy, sorry for recommend this app, it`s a shame, it`s incredibly what apps could uninstall according this app.
What I mean is that this app put deleted files in a folder with same name in sdcard, you can restore them going to recovery and putting them via adb in system again and setting necessary permissions to go on again for not to flash all the rom but probably you`re not familiar with that.
Now "borned" a new build 7.1.12 that it`s better than this version, I flashed it on my device and if you install via fastboot I tell you what apps I remove and I have no problem just that system every time you power on devices warns a security risk, just click understand and go on.
All the apps that you can remove normally from settings/downloaded apps can be deleted, and the next apps that I removed if you want; From /system/app; Chrome, Drive, Duo, MiDiscover, MiPlay..From /system/priv app; MiDrop. Mipub, MiuiHome (if you don`t like, just you must have other launcher), velvet, YellowPage and these that inttegrated with system but I don`t use; Google Photos, Music, Movies, then go to recovery and wipe cache and dalvik cache

Hello,
Could someone please help me to stop service - com.sonyericsson.android.wakeup ?
This particular service is giving close to 1000 wake calls in very less time.
my phone is with stock rom & i have rooted it. I have read in one of the blog to delete "fast dormancy.apk" file. even though i delete that file, i can still see that service is wake calls to my phone.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in Advance.
I couldn't find that file in Titanium backup application. Could you please tell me, if it will be displayed with a different name ?

Don't look for it in Backup & Restore. Go to Batch actions - All, scroll down to Un-install, press RUN where it says : Un-install all user and system apps, press DESELECT ALL, then search for that file, select only that file, and unistall it.
Sorry, am still not able to find "com.sonyericsson.android.wakeup" in the "Batch actions"..

Well, I guess you don't really have com.sonyericsson.android.wakeup in your system, it's deleted somehow.
Actually using root explorer i removed those files from system/app. But still i was getting wake locks from that service when i saw in better battery stats application. thats why i started this post to know how to stop it totally.
Since here one person suggested to use titanium backup to freeze or delete it, i relocated those apk file again to system/app, now it seems that service is totally missing.. making me crazy!!!

Yes, do a repair, and after that if you still want to delete com.sonyericsson.android.wakeup, do it and don't restore it again. And you'll be fine.
okie but anyways for now i don't see it in better battery stats.. if i still see it i will try to repair it and delete it.
thanks for your time and suggestion..

Hi
I tried deleting my system apps such as dot view, fitbit, kid mode.... Whenever I restart my phone back it will be there itself.
I used Titanium Backup and uninstaller, both did the same thing.

Are you rooted? You should be able to get rid of most of them. Getting rid of bloatware is one of the first things I did after gaining root.
Some system apps are read only though, so you would have to change permissions.

Hey
Anyone having Problems with deinstalling the system apps too?
I am successfully rooted and tried to deinstall YouTube/maps/chrome etc., but the always come back after reboot.i am trying with titanium backup, magisk debloat and magisk App systemizer, but no matter which way I choose.. The result ist always the same...
As I understood, system apps are on read-only partition, so it's near impossible to get rid of them. I managed to remove them usind adb, but I think it's not permanent solution.

Try this one: https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/app-uninstall-apps-t3776235/amp/
Open the link in a browser.
When you uninstall an app, you may need to try a couple of times, but it does go away.
Other solution is to freeze the app with TiBackup. Almost the same, the apps even stay frozen after an update.

Hello
I'm not sure if I'm the only one who has this issue but after I rooted my phone I removed some bloatware apps like google play music and google play game and some others that I don't need or use but after a while they come back, I tried to freeze them and remove them but they came back again but this time they stayed disabled.
is there a way to remove them for once.
use total commander and remove manually.
Titanium backup don't remove app.

Well, I do not know when or how but Whatsapp app is broken on my device! Just not starting anymore, I only get some force crash screen of about 1 second and that's it...
I have a Note 8T with latest EEA software 12.5.4.0 MIUI 12.5, rooted with Magisk, custom recovery (OrangeFox)
Funny story but enabling dual apps for Whatsapp, basically another user, I managed to start and use the app, as a secondary app because the base app is still dead!
Now, my question is:
How do I get Whatsapp to function normally again???
Things I tried:
1. clean cache and data - no fix
2. uninstall/ install app - no fix
3. enable miui optimizations - no fix
4. fix/ repair data partition in OrangeFox recovery - no fix
Is there anything else I could try in order to fix this issue? It might be somehow related with the user part of the data partition? But why only this app is affected then?
I'm just baffled by this turn... don't know what to do anymore...

go to : Data/system/dropbox
delete everything
open wsp and send the generated crash log (from that folder)
Well, tried twice uninstall/ install procedure... Same result...

i said uninstall/!REBOOT!/install
when you reboot, the package manager will delete the app leftover
the app crash because there is some data left from a previous version
try deleting "com.whatsapp" folder from
/data/data/
and from
/user_de/0/
also whatsapp folder on internal storage
Holly mackerel!!!
You know how many times I rebooted this device???
But, now, it worked without deleting anything except the dropbox content you mentioned earlier!
It just went smooth, install, setup, restore backup and all without a glitch!
THX A BUNCH!!!
Anyway, I would really love to know how was this possible in the first place as I did nothing specially regarding this app... and found myself in this situation of not being able to use it anymore... why only this app? Was something some update maybe that broke something?
