Hi!
Is disponible to download new version of my visual kitchen. I have improved my software and
now is compatible with all htc devices The version is 1.0 Beta and as such it contains
errors. For any bugs report me using this post
New Features:
-Dump rom with one button (improved than to the previous version.. also nbh rom is supported)
-Import xip or sys with one operation (it's better than previous version and for examples now you can set the build number for new sys and xip)
-Manage files in your rom with the visual kitchen (it's called folder viewer and you can view ALL FILES in subfolder. Before was possible to look only two subfolders: NOW in all subfolder; For examples EXT\Diamond\luca\manila3D\0409\files etc)
-Build Rom (build rom for all htc devices, 6.5 native xip is supported!)
-Operations plus simple and rapid
-Multidevice (all htc devices supported!)
-Registry file converter (convert xml,provxml to rgu or reg file and viceversa)
-ROM Hacks v0.1 beta (add personal config at your rom with GUI)

- The download worked fine for me. I temporarily allowed pop-ups (not sure it was necessary) and did have to click on a small "click to download" link on the first page.
- Some errors people are getting are likely runtimes missing - Visual C++, MSXML and .NET. E.g I could not get OSKitchen running on W7 64 until I specifically placed msvcr71.dll in \windows\syswow64
- I got a dump to at least start, then got errors like this in a DOS window.

File not found - dump

The system cannot find the file specified.

And I got it to crash, and got a path error...
I was trying to dump a Rhodium ROM.
Oh, well - worth a try.

Now you can see a registry access in your Windows CE device!
Download for PocketPC
Download for SmartPhone
Run RegLogger and select "Capture" in "Log" menu.
You can save log into text file.
I recommend if you switch focus to another application, clear "Update view" mark.
This will increase speed in times.
When you switch back to RegLogger you can set mark again, of course.
Also you can specify include and exclude filter.
It will applied only to exe filename.
If you have VGA device you can decrease font size - you will see more information.
I don't recommend to kill my program. You *should* close it via menu, otherwise your device can hang.
RegLogger is free, but you use it without any warranties.
Compatible with WM 2003 SE and WM 5.0.
Tested on Dell x51v, HTC 3400 and on emulators.
I don't know if it work on WM 6.0.
If somebody can test it, please test it.

Yes, filesys.exe in windows directory. I've moved the 3 program/dll/txt to windows directory and executed from there but still getting the same error.
could you port it to Smartphone? i tried it on my Dash and it ran but the menu items doesn't work

Where do we find this "foxconn rom tool"? Oh, and shouldn't the memory card be formatted FAT-32 instead of FAT-16?
Download file, extract, you will get hpimage.bin and bldiag.nb0. you need now sd card, it cant be bigger than 2GB, becouse bootloader doesnt support more, format it to fat16, insert into your device, press and hold calendar and windows keys, and next press reset button, after it will reboot flashing proces will start.

210 doesn't work too. Haven't heard it to be working on any of ipaq 21x series :/ as none of the people have written about a sucsessfull upgrade.
There is still something missing in this update
it's important is which SD card use!!!

I can figure it out. Has anyone tested this on a HP ipaq 111 (or equivalent) rom.
What does 6.1 and 6.5 give you over 6.0?

Honestly? Not-crappy drivers, primarily. Also better UI. There are lots of fixes to both versions, like ZERO CF drain, faster loading and processing in general, less space used, things of the like. So very worth it. This baby is one of the best equipped PDAs on the market, so it should also be one of the fastest. Now it's finally getting there. Great news, i say. Good luck!

I wonder if it is possible to return to the original version installed on the IPQ 214.
I have an Ipaq 214 Enterprise Handeheld in Spanish.
As would be the procedure for a downgrade and a backup copy of the original ROM.

Fill: Not everything, after i close media player after playing a 12MB MP3 i have low free memory ~14MB - it get stucked at home screen in to the titanium....
patko226: as i said in the first post, i customized it for myself, i uploaded it if someone wanna try it out. I removed the email from Titanium, but you can use Titanizer4 to bring it back. (but i think i removed the entries from registry...) - I think if you install original ibrythill's WM7 cab, it will work again.

ok... could you help me how i can set up registry for mails? it is possible? I tried any titanium titanizer but i can`t set up it...
But for me it is only one missing thing for me... For me everything is OK... (i don`t use media player )
I use that because i can play music in sleep mode. Maybe in my next release i will remove media player and replace that with Audio Manager For movies i will find another program.

As a reward for all of you for your tests of my ROM (over five thousand downloads ) I'm releasing the full kitchen for you to try out.
This kitchen is based on PlatformRebuilder from bepe and new interface from ervius. It incorporates the native AKU5 kernel, which has leaked from HTC's laboratories.
It's for smart guys - if you can't do anything with it, just flash one of the available ROMs. If you have some smart questions - don't hesitate to ask, but don't post generic questions about cooking! It's not the right topic for such questions...
I have one good advice for all of you:
as my ROMs a heavily modified, use "Load ROM" option and start from one of the predefined sets, don't start from the scratch! Later, when you get familiarized with my ideas of cooking - go on.
The same goes for adding new builds - DON'T do this at the beginning! There're 23017 and 23052 builds included, so you don't have to - and by just adding a new one you will most probably screw your ROM up!

Once I do this to my SPB do I put it here...OEM\HERMES\COMMON ?

I only 'loaded' your ROM,clicked 'create ROM' and got that error.
I changed nothing at all.
There is a folder cecompr_LZX.dll but no file.
If I untick LZX compression I still get errors
I'm using WindowsXPx64 does this matter?

I downloaded again and it seems fine now ?
I cab2oem'd my SPB and placed the folder in "C:\Hermes.DarkVisions.v5.KITCHEN\OEM\HERMES\COMMON".
I then created my 1st ROM
SPB is in there but not 'active'.
I think maybe I should have placed somewhere else?

Can't remember, but isn't SpbHome being run from the StartUp folder? If so then make sure you have a proper initflashfiles.txt in your package. Check also the *.lnk file - if it leads to the \Windows\MobileShell.exe.
And as for the placement... while it's ok to put it there, all the additional and optional packages should be rather put in EXT folder (but beware, it has different structure!), because you can't deselect those from the OEM folder.
I tried so many times the spb mobile shell into oem or into ext and nothing... it dont works... simply this cab is one of those cabs that cant be set as EXT or OEM by a tool....
But maybe you can make it manually... ameet or -G- has wonderfull tutorials for this topic.
If I will have some spare time, I can do it for you... but don't know, when.
Windows Phone 7 Dev tools Beta released
Here's the updated emulator build. It seems very similar (and the build number is only a bit higher) than the one leaked last week. As with that build, there's no options to add data sources to sync/connect with. Ugh! I'll keep working at it as it's bound to be there somewhere but we'll see.

Unlike previous builds, it seems that you need to pass a VMID to the XDE executable. As follows...
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft XDE\1.0\XDE.exe" "C:\Users\YOU\Desktop\WM70C1-6414-unlocked.bin" /VMID {E575DA31-FC47-4766-853F-018D823B9EE6}
Or you can place the file in "C:\Program Files\Microsoft SDKs\Windows Phone\v7.0\Emulation\Images" with the name "WM70C1.bin" and debug with visual studio and it will launch. I've only tried a super basic app but this appears to be the first one that actually works fully with debugging! This should help the devs that want to be able to test with the various task launchers with some actual data.

Little Tips: If you installed the April CTP, installing the beta from the April CTP's uninstaller (Open uninstaller -> click Repair/Reinstall -> when the uninstaller ask the CD, click the option for re-downloading the file from Internet). In that mode, you don't uninstall Visual Basic 2010, Visual Studio 2010 or XNA Studio. Enjoy!

Now we need to wait for an unlock of the new OS Image. It is very much improved with bootup, transitions, and everything really. I cant wait to see how the apps, and hubs are looking and performing now...

Wow, that's really cool. If I just would have heard about this earlier...
Can you install the tools with my mode? I can't, the installation can't download Windows Phone Emulator x64 and it's block. HELP!!!
Eh, I created a new WP app project in Expression Blend and immediately ran it. The basic title layout already doesn't match the system layout. *sigh*
Got problems installing it via the repair routine - just getting errors that some parts of the install couldn't complete. Damned....
Yes, it's *much* safer to do a full uninstall of CTP tools, reboot, then install the Beta.

And who installed Visual Basic 2010 Express must uninstall and reinstall its (if it's possible).

But I've got a problem with the emulator. It's choppy like hell, it always was for me. I've got a Core 2 Duo 2,14 GHz so I don't think that should be a problem, but I see it is using just one core. Is there a trick to enable emulator using the 2nd core or get it somehow hardware accelerated?
