I'm also getting an error message. Hopefully it is working seem to be a good app if it works!

Quick cab installer
It copies all files to the right places and adds a shortcut to your start menu.
You must sellect "Storage Card" when the cab runs.

Hi Found that if you don't install it in the exact place specified it only shows one or two options re install using the cab

Thanks for making a cab. It's quite picky at this point about where it's installed, so this really helps.
The app only really makes sense if it's installed on the memory card. That way it can survive the main machine getting wiped out.

I think I know what's wrong. I can reproduce a crash if the destination folders aren't present. I'm in the middle of testing a few other fixes and will try to update it this afternoon.

Found another bug where it'll only install cabs ending in lowercase '.cab'.
I've got it fixed, but have another issue I'm working out before I update the package.

It's a way to have many users share one terminal server. Businesses use it to save on IT costs. I use it to remote control into a computer at work and fix people's problems. It's a pain to setup over and over, about 20 settings I like.

So I desided to make it.

technically there is an "of the people" at the beginning of that quote but i dont think that would fit do you lol.
I've never played round at being a chef yet. Is it hard? is it just a matter of selecting what you want and dont want? or is it more technical than that?

volume control
hey,
i have been trying out this kitchen. quite nice.
however, i have a problem.
on first boot, volume slider works nicely.. but there is not task manager. I thought it needs a reboot..
after first reboot, task manger shows up in the right top corner and works fine.but, the volume slider gets unmapped.
out of the packages list.. i have chosen all bluetooth apps, java, task manager, volume control, keyboard, voice dial and command.
Any suggestions?

it's an old problem, try this 1. http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=175787&stc=1&d=1239616422 or 2. use volume installation by cab-file.

maybe a dumb question, but after I start the .cmd file, and the kitchen shows up, I have to specify the map where the packages are, then he keeps saying cannot find packages.sof
maybe it has something to do with Vista? also had problems with administrator rights before...

If so, i will try to use an Xp pc, or try to log in as administrator..
maybe in XP comp. mode it will work, i'll try...
EDIT: turned off usersacountmanagement in vista, now it works...

No.
U press at the diamondkitchen then press 1.
After that up in the cornor u will see Package_tools & Buildos. Press at buildos. Then Load rom. Choose package, and press go and close window after it's finished.

[APP]Midomi Music-ID from Samsung FREE

This is the new FREE music ID software from Samsung Omnia ported to be work on any PPC.
I have found another ported version on another forum, but there you have to use WIFI as the network. But I hope you don't have WIFI in the places where you wonna recognize a new song as in your car or club....
So I modded the software to use GPRS/3G network.
In addition on other version I found it installs to the main memory, but you can install my version on your SD/Internal Memory/Device as you wish.
This software is FAST, Looks cool and FREE compaired to the alternative available.
Install and find more by yourself. Read the README file after installation.

Tested intensively on my own diamond. Are you using WIFI (or something other than packet data) for internet?

Error was when I prompted for Lyrics or Youtube... Anyone know how to fix that? Playing a sample worked though!

I fixed the data connection setting in the original installation package, you can get it here. No need to mess with registry or patches after install.

2. the whole 4.5MB software essentially installs under WINDOWS folder in others.
Because I like installing in one shot and each MB is precious for me, hope the others would feel the same way too.

- The download worked fine for me. I temporarily allowed pop-ups (not sure it was necessary) and did have to click on a small "click to download" link on the first page.
- Some errors people are getting are likely runtimes missing - Visual C++, MSXML and .NET. E.g I could not get OSKitchen running on W7 64 until I specifically placed msvcr71.dll in \windows\syswow64
- I got a dump to at least start, then got errors like this in a DOS window.

Cannot map file .\romsdump\21889\imgfs.bin
File not found - dump

The system cannot find the file specified.
Could Not Find E:\[luca16thebig]Visual Kitchen v1.0 Beta1\dump_MemoryMap.txt
And I got it to crash, and got a path error...
I was trying to dump a Rhodium ROM.
Oh, well - worth a try.

I wanted a clean, unbranded and nice xap deployer, just double click a xap file and point Windows to this app (or just drag a file over the executable).

Troubleshooting
Things to try:
Check with Chevron if your phone is unlocked!
Unplug and plug your phone, then try again
Reboot your phone and try again
Try running the Zune software
Try deploying the same xap to the emulator, and if no luck it might be a problem with the file
You can get free xap files for your device or emulator using Desktop Marketplace (also Desktop Marketplace includes this deployer in an automated setup program).

It only send xap files to a real phone, not the emulator (however you can edit the config.xml file to use the emulator)

i unlocked my phone with chevron tools, and ringtone manager is working, when i try to use your application always appear this error: "Error installing the application to the device. Please check if it's ready ......".
i downloaded "YouTube.xap" and "La_Tercera.xap" like in your picture in the first post.
what can i do? or what i'm doing wrong?

I have personally experienced some issues, but I feel that the problem is the phone itself, because with tom's deployer and the original MS deployer I receive an error until I reboot/reconnect my phone.

Thanks for the infos and the utility that worked for me.... i succesfully installed a XAP (a game) but when I try to lauch it the screen became black, than white and than back to the menu....
...am I doing something wrong?

Some applications are protected against piracy like xbl games, what's the problematic application?
