Where do we find this "foxconn rom tool"? Oh, and shouldn't the memory card be formatted FAT-32 instead of FAT-16?
Download file, extract, you will get hpimage.bin and bldiag.nb0. you need now sd card, it cant be bigger than 2GB, becouse bootloader doesnt support more, format it to fat16, insert into your device, press and hold calendar and windows keys, and next press reset button, after it will reboot flashing proces will start.

210 doesn't work too. Haven't heard it to be working on any of ipaq 21x series :/ as none of the people have written about a sucsessfull upgrade.
There is still something missing in this update
it's important is which SD card use!!!
for me not work with SanDisk ultraII 2gb SD card

I can figure it out. Has anyone tested this on a HP ipaq 111 (or equivalent) rom.
What does 6.1 and 6.5 give you over 6.0?

Honestly? Not-crappy drivers, primarily. Also better UI. There are lots of fixes to both versions, like ZERO CF drain, faster loading and processing in general, less space used, things of the like. So very worth it. This baby is one of the best equipped PDAs on the market, so it should also be one of the fastest. Now it's finally getting there. Great news, i say. Good luck!

I wonder if it is possible to return to the original version installed on the IPQ 214.
I have an Ipaq 214 Enterprise Handeheld in Spanish.
As would be the procedure for a downgrade and a backup copy of the original ROM.

Has anybody tried that? Is it stable?
I have tried a few WM6.1 ROMs, and the one from DIVman is the best for me so far as I was looking for a clean one (I like to install my favorite programs).
This ROM is also really stable. This changes from the original "I am full of bug" WM6
The only problem I have for the moment is that I no longer see my WiFi in the Wireless Manager.
Anyone had the same problem ?
Is there some driver or hack to apply to fix this ?

i am using clean version just updatet from wm5. i am very happy and thankful for your share. works wonderfull (incl. 8gb sdhc + wifi). i made a backup/restore with spb backup 2.0 (needed several changes and resets, but now everything works)
i also downloaded radio-rom update from asus, but worked as well with old radio-vers.
only wishes for previous version - i don't need voicecommander - so let the clean version really clean..
keep on thank you, can't wait for next release...

but one problem is that i need more ram - program memory, although i am using clean rom vers.
Perhaps it is possible to create a kind of cleaner rom e.g. without media player, voice commander, world card mobile, screen capture, remote desktop, picture and video, games ...

this thing is CRUCIAL to have specific country locale settings ONLY - font(set), date format, metrics, etc.
it has nothing to WM GUI language, though.
it may HAVE effect on language of installed programs, vide xnview, i.e.
So, no chance to get this nice ROM in German language .... ???
after a hard reset if you do a soft reset, you no longer see WiFi in the Wireless Manager; even in build3!

I'm new to artemis cooking, but before i cooked for blueangels and i cook already now for athena (x7500).
Yesterday i got a P3300, so i started cooking for it.
This are the results:

As you can view, i included very few programs, so you have a lot of memory then original wm6 and you can personalize it as you want.
Tweaks:
- No setup at first startup needed: Touch screen is pre-calibrated
- No programs installed by cabs: All is cooked in
- SecurityOff is Enhanced
- Nocert Patch on nk.exe is enhanced
- Some other little things.
Memory:
Storage: total 55.82 / Used: 3mb / Free ~53
Memory: total 49.61 / in use ~ 23 / free ~ 27

Ok, now i have to spent two word about lang_switch. What is this program? this will let you to use another rom language on your device, without modify the rom!!! You need only to have a language pack for your device/language. How to make it? just see at the end of this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2447322&postcount=2
when your langpack folder is done, you have to put it in \storage card\Language_Pack - the folder name will appear in the program. then select it and tap start...
NOTE: this program is from my rom for athena, and IS UNTESTED on this device, but it should work.

I tried to flash it but it kept going into DOS mode and said could not detect the phone. I tried a couple times then flashed over to the latest 3VO with ease. Maybe theres some different steps or something im not aware of that prevented me from flashing over, Im just letting you know

Fill: Not everything, after i close media player after playing a 12MB MP3 i have low free memory ~14MB - it get stucked at home screen in to the titanium....

(but i think i removed the entries from registry...) - I think if you install original ibrythill's WM7 cab, it will work again.

ok... could you help me how i can set up registry for mails? it is possible? I tried any titanium titanizer but i can`t set up it...
But for me it is only one missing thing for me... For me everything is OK... (i don`t use media player )
I use that because i can play music in sleep mode. Maybe in my next release i will remove media player and replace that with Audio Manager For movies i will find another program.

i see that a wm6.5 rom is existing for n560.
as far as i know, the hardware from n500, n520 and n560 is similar, only differnt is the additional hardware like wlan, bluetooth ...
To remove the screen flickering you gotta set any mode other than automatic in the application Processor

question for the developer:
i dont have the charger.i charge my n520 using the usb cable.therefor i cannot update to 6.1 because the PocketLOOX5xxFlashTool.exe asks me to connect the charger.
is there any way i can update without the charger?

I'm still running 21054 and everything seemed to work ok but Irda (I don't really need it, anyway). I have to try 20769 and of course, I'll try WM 6.5.
I also read somewhere you where interested in BT through USB Host. I tried with different drivers a long time ago, and I'll repeat my test with your rom. If I succeed I'll let you know.

Edit: I upgraded GPS firmware to version 3.5.0 and it's working fine (not much better than 3.4.2 with first fixing, but I think reception is more solid).
I've deleted the version 21054 because it contained a lot of small bugs. However, IRDA will be used as a remote control (only) in all my builds, but not for a file transfer. I don't know why.

I've made up Russian build and I'm not happy from WM 6.5.1. System changes have affected the interface only. Also it spends a lot of memory.
