WM6 got corrupted!! :((

Hi All,
last week i purchased HTC touch, i was experimenting with software, there was a problem, when i was installtion bullguard antivirus.
Now my Windows Mobile 6 is got corrupted, NOt all features are working, and WM6 is not functioning properly.
Kindly suggest me, if i can Flash WM6 on my phone ( I hope it will seems as i got new phone)
or i should give it back to HTC people...
please suggest me what the best i can do...???

Read the User Manual, there you can see how to do a HARD RESET to let your TOUCH as new.

Thanks a lot User22, your guidance really worked, it is again virgin now...
but i am not able to understand one thing when all the executables were corrupted then how come it is able restore all the factory default, is it already having copy of initial files somewhere.

No everything is in the ROM, and always will. Your software changes stay in a user writable area, that are erased when doing a hard reset, thus leaving the original stuff in ROM.

Touch Screen Not Repsonding - Can't Unlock Phone!!

I need help urgently!! I installed some touch flow software on my phone and now the touch screen does not work, I have a lock on my phone that comes on at boot up so I can't get into my phone to remove the software, any suggestions??

With activesync browse in your \windows directory and remove touch.dll file.
then reset

Have you added touchflo with a .cab or cooking your rom?
My first solution is good only in case of .cab, if you have cooked your rom, you must rebuild the rom and flash it

Unfortunately I can't browse with activesync, its asks me to unlock the phone.
I installed it from a .cab file.

Unfortunately I had exactly the same problem after hours of tweaking the phone to make it almost perfect. I had to reinstall the ROM again, won't make that make mistake again. Sorry I don't know of a way around this problem.

Yep, I have had to resort to reflashing my phone, fortunately I had backed up my contacts recently, not my photos though - I had some good ones which I'm gutted I lost. The upside is I now have the HTC cube!!

daxian x999 rom update

Hi All,
first of all... if this question is being asked at the wrong place.. please let me know ;-)
Well.. i have a question.. I have a daxian x999 and want to upgrade the OS.. The OS on this device isn't fast and can be quite unstable sometimes..
anyone can tell me how i can upgrade this device?? I'm a complete newbie on this one.. so any help would be appreciated..

the problem with the daxian x999 is, that until now no one managed to extract the bootloader!
i tried almost every software i found here... no success!
i was able to extract the rom, but that doesn´t help too much
and another thing that is very sad, is that no one from the "knowing Guys" here is interested in helping us!!!
there was just one senior member trying to help me... (thanx again the_eqionoxe!!!)
i expected some more help from a forum with that much experience...

Sorry i found it in the very next search

As far as I know it should be presented in the form of a imgfs file (can be cooked by any kitchen). (*but I am not 100 % shure, I don't have a daxian to experiment with)
But I am unaware about the XIP format .
If we had a look @ a original update.img then we could say how it was compiled, and hopefully port other rom's to it.

any have yep put 6.1 on this phone?

I have a daxian x999 but its in chinese & if i cant get it exchanged will want to change the windows rom to an english one - cant find the english rom though (& need to learn how to do it too lol)

I used SPB backup to restore my data, and stopped it midway, now my power button does not turn on the screen. So I have to wait for a phone call to come in for the screen to come on.
Anyone know if I use an editor for registery if there is a place to turn this back on.

Have u tried a soft reset?????? or maybe a "master clean up" as it is called on the phone???

also if someone here is going deep into the phone, can some1 figure out how to 'manage' the accelerometer for the current application/settings of it seem pretty dull... i don't know if it helps, but the process which rotates the screen is called acc_ap and you can find it in the start up folder

Yes, I tried the soft reset, memory clear, and hard 3-button reset, no joy.

nobody tried with pdocwrite as MUN_rus has done with HTC wizard G4??
WARNING This device needs OTHER drivers than a HTC ELF(in), so make sure you cook a ROM with the proper drivers!!.
You can probably dump the rom by the reverse command pdocread..
Haven't tried it myself, as I have stated before, I have no daxian 999 to experiment with myself..

Cannot HARD Reset ???!!!!!

Hi Experts,
Would like to check whether anyone out there have ever encounter such problem?
I receive a rude shock this morning when I power on my 1 week old HTC HD which reads below:
"This concludes the beta test of this software release. Thank you very much for your time and effort in helping make this a great product for our customers.
To obtain a newer release or further information, please revisit the web site that you used to obtain your current beta release."
I've flashed it with Dutty's Rom v1.8 and many other software which I use to have on my previous PDA. I son't think its coming from the ROM but maybe the software i installed. I remember the last few ones was Resco Explorer, Resco Pro viewer, FTP CLient...etc.
I tried many ways but just cannot seem to get rid of this screen as it appears right after any reset. So I decided to hard reset the phone but after going thru the procedure of holding the Vol up/down and power button, it just reboot like after a soft reset...and YES, it went back to the same screen!
Another thing, I couldn't get the phone to sync with my PC too.
What when wrong and what other method can I try? Any kind soul's advice will be greatly appreciated.

put your phone on bootloader mode(tricolour screen),then connect your usb cable,on your tricolour screen it should show you USB,when you see it on the screen(on your phone)then you can flashing rom.

Thanks for the advice, you are right. Its the Time Bomb for Dutty's ROM v1.8.
Just manage to get the new ROM and flash it. Have to re-install the bunch of softwares i did earlier as i didn't read carefully that there's a time bomb.

yes it's a problem with the OS version used unknown by the cooker. It has been corrected. It is mentioned the Dutty 1.8 thread. Since Dutty 1.9 is out seems good time for an upgrade.

you have to put the CAB file on your memory card,when you flashing the new rom,you have to install all software back your phone

[I780] Problems after flashing (bricked?) need official roms help plz

i flashed my i780 with the heroes 6.1 rom. after 1 day of perfect functionality i couldnt unlock it because the touch screen didn`t respond anymore. then after some time i managed to unlock it, but it seemed the ui crashed, so i had to reboot. after boot all data were gone like just after a hard reset. i tried plenty other roms but it`s everytime the same. after some time the phone crash and i need to reflash it. so i think that my phone is damaged someway. i still got warrenty, but i don`t have the original roms anymore. do anyone know, where i can download the original samsung wm 6.0 roms (german)? i also need the original phone rom so i can send the phone to samsung. thanks in advance

ouch! That'll be hard to find!
What you could do is order a new i780....and anyway you have a 7 day return and money back option....do a rom dump and send it back

once again i tried the heroes 6.1 rom but this time without syncing my phone to my pc. `til know everything works. maybe my activesync is the problem. i try the latest usb driver from samsung. i hope it work

delete the actual activesync and reboot your pc, download the latest version of activesync (4.5) from samsung official site and delete the old connection. reinstall the sw and try again.

1. i can`t find the SGH-i780 Updater, when i press the "firmware download" button i go to webside and there is nothing, i can`t find updates.
2. my activesync cannot see the phone so i can`t use a .exe update... just mirage see the phone when is in emergency mode...
