New PAYS Rom - Hermes Hangs on reboot!!!!

Guys,
I am ****ed.
Just installed the new pays rom - and then my standard applications like the spb software suite.
Just rebooted the device, and it now keeps on hanging on the bootloader.
Tried to reset the phone several times to no avail.
Anybody got a clue what might cause this?

Flash the rom you had before when the device gets to bootloader mode.
Or one official rom.
Logically it should be ok and the rom will be flashed to your tytn

Hi,
I had the same Problem. I solve it by flashing the 2.15 lite (German) Version.
But that fix just the problem with the booting. Now, the Bootloader 2.03 and can't flash anything else.

You might watch the language, we all know how to curse here, comes naturally from repeated flashing.....
So, I'd advice flashing an official ROM and take it from there. My last posts have referenced this, so follow the bouncing ball.

seems like problem for a lot of wm 6.1 roms. Been suggested that its a compatability problem with wm5/6 3rd party apps. try HR then put your apps on and test for a day or 2 to see if that app is the problem then put on next app etc.... Cheers

Agreed with ultramag69 ... not all wm5/6 3rd party apps compatible with wm6.1 .. so be prepared.
Faced this problem last time... install nice wm6.1 rom (TNT) but not compatible with my favorite apps so shift back to wm6 rom (schaps)

Htc s621(Rogers) freezing

Hey guys, I'm new to the forums and I decided to post because I honestly can not figure out what is wrong with my Excalibur. Recently, my S621 has started to freeze chronically so I tried to cold-boot it (with the 2 soft keys) and even after the cold boot it will still freeze. I tried re-flashing the Rogers WM6 but that does nothing either. Every time i use any of these methods my phone will run properly for maybe an hour and than it will freeze when someone tries to text me or phone me. I also keep getting these errors when my phone freezes:
'profiles' not a valid windows ce application
'tmail' not a valid windows ce application
'appman' not a valid windows ce application
etc etc.
Sometimes I don't get an error at all and the screen will just freeze.
Can someone please help?

How can i reinstall Windows Mobile on my cellphone ?

I did a cold reboot and it has loosen up my "ram" memory on the tmail application i guess ...
=) That's what happens when u dont delete the text messages when ur finish.

Please save sarcasm when responding. I have been reading and would onlt ask for help a last option.
My phone - HTC Pro 2 (I bought it from a authorized t-mobile store)
Need help with - ugrading it to 6.5 or any cooked version that will work
History - my phone is already unlocked as I had unlock kings do it. I tested it and I can put any sim it and it works fine.
Problem - every time I try and install a new rom on it I get one the follwing errors or issues: My usb connection stop when the install starts and the process times out, or I get a host of errors messeges from invild device to wrong version.
I need very simple instructions on what I need to do upgrade my os and then later migrate to some of the really roms I have seen on this site.
Please help.

When you read those 11 steps in the HSPL thread, where is it, where you say: nothing happends?

As it stands, you will only be able to install an official T-Mobile ROM if it is a T-Mobile-branded phone.
So installing HardSPL will let you flash whatever ROM you want, any of the official ones (including, say, HTC official 6.5), or one of the fine cooked ones from this forum.
If you are having trouble with HardSPL, you really need to post on that in the HardSPL sticky.

no matter what I do, the connection always times out. It seems my phone will not allow anything rom software to be installed. Where can I find enableapnew.cab? The rom software told me i needed that.

This sounds like a USB issue, try this:
1. Power off your TP2
2. Press and HOLD the volume down button, press and HOLD power button until you see the multi-coloured screen (bootloader mode)
3. Connect your TP2 to your computer via USB
4. You should now see the letters USB at the bottom of the TP2 screen
5. If you DO, run hardSPL
If you DON'T, try a different USB cable and/or port on your computer.
If none of the above helps, take a screen shot of your bootloader screen and post it.
How to get a screenshot:
1. Go to http://www.mymobiler.com and download/install the software.
2. Open it and take a screen shot
3. Post it here.

Also, which OS are you running on your PC? If its Windows XP, make sure you download Active Sync and install/run it. If you run Vista / 7, make sure you run the Mobile Device Center.

Update -
My OS is win xp and copied and installed the cab on my device. then I re-powered hold down the volume and got that tri-color screen with the usb connected. Started the HardSP app and have been waiting for 15 minutes as nothing seems to be working.
Did I miss something?

Ok I finally got an 262 error. I am not what I missed. Dl'ed the cab re-powered holding down vol key started HardSp app.
Help.

Installed fontpatch.cab, now phone is not working

Hi experts,
I have a touch pro2, it was not displaying Chinese fonts so I installed fontpatch.cab. Now the phone hangs as soon as I start it. Soft reset is not working . I am not able to do anything on it. Please help me.

try if you can still connect the phone to your computer using ActiveSync and remove the program you just installed using ActiveSync. if that didn't work, i guess hard-resetting the device is the way to fix it.

The only references I could find to that cab were all for the version that was written for WM 5.0, so I'm guessing that it's incompatible w/6.1 and up.
And yes, if you can't get past the bootup screen to be able to remove the program, you might have no other option than a hard-reset at this point.

samsung I780 WM 6.5 issuses

Hi there, i have just purchased a samsung i780 second hand and the previous owner has upgraded it to vm6.5, however it seems to have a few problems. First of all the keyboard does'nt seem to work for messaging (and there is an application called fingerboard 2 that does seem to work) and also all the icons seems missaligned in the menus......and there is no pop down start menu and the today page looks quite unsual. Here are some pictures which may give you a better idea.
Is it possible to restore the phone to the original orange rom?
also i have vista so will this make it very difficult

You have 3 possibiliteis dude:
First 2 are to install newer 6.5 rom, that has no issues like that, but may be other new :

3. install official DXIB1 only !! after one before.
Most easy way to aware incorrect versione error is to install first one of both roms. Than its clear for PDXIB1 update next.

Right, ive got my phone in emergency mode, loader up mirage (in vista), loaded htc drivers as recommended in the guide, selected that rom under the pda option but whenever i plug my phone in it says pda not found.

Thats instruction never came true as far I see you use win7 64 bits.

But it works only if you choise test mode by pressing F8 before windows starting on PC. If you dont choise for test mode boot. win7 will not accept driver mensioned.
For easy way, without those problems use xp computer.

Im using windows vista 32 bit however i may have made a mistake by selecting htc after the have disk bit rather then samsung. Could that cause a problem?

For vista 32 you need to download windows mobile center (WMC), and only install samsung modem drivers. and nothing more. it work official way!
If you had already WMC and replaced driver by HTC, then plugoff phone, uninstall WMC. restrart pc and install again.

Thank you for all your help, i however have resolved most of the issues i mentioned and it was all down to configuration within the os.......n00b my bad heh.
