Memory card problem

my memory card is no longer being recognized by my orbit. I installed a new ROM yesterday (official HTC), and it was working until this morning. The card works fine if I plug it into a memory card reader on my pc. Any ideas whats wrong? I have tried a hard reset but its still not available on my device. Many thanks.

Occasionally, my MDACIII does the same thing. The way I sort mines out when it does this is to remove and reinerting the battery.
I have not tried a hard reset, but I kow a soft reset does not sort it.
Hope that helps. It would be nice to have a more technical solution!

I thought it was a problem only on my phone as noboby replied to my query ages ago which was similar to yours!
Your device proves that there is some sort of technical hitch with the phones that cant be solved by soft reset.
Just as well we have this forum!

thats for sure, I haven't experienced this before, I usually have the HTC memory card fix installed (to fix the corrupt card problem) but I didnt install it yesterday when i added the new rom, I thought that was the problem, thankfully its ok now.

HTC should have incorporated the corruption fix into the new rom base solely on the release date. If you really use the official rom, I guess then yours is another problem different from that of the HTC fix.

My phone is using the official htc 3.5 wm6.

Did I miss something? I thought all the WM6 ROM's for the Artemis were custom. Do you have a link to this official WM6 upgrade?

Help needed to get back to WM5 (O2)

Please can some one help me.
I have tried alsorts of stuff to get my UNI back to the O2 operating system.
I used the MTTY thingy and cleared it out I have done so much but I keep ending up with a multi coloured screen and thats it.
I can load WM6 operating systems OK and the seem to work.
I have tried the Original O2 shipped ROM and the upgraded ROM but no luck.
I don't want to upset people by being lazy because I promise I have looked but I cant find the solution.
Please Help Me

help; my qtek 9100 dead after update to wm6

hi all ,yesterday i tried to update my qtek 9100 with wm6 evreything seems to be okay the phone accepted the new system, bigen to update,update finish ,the phone retarted ,but surprise it is open until the welcome screen from qtek and freeze there ,and don`t comunicate with the pc to can restore my old operation system ,i tried a heard reset but it dosent help ,can anyone help me ?

you should have posted your question to the Wizard forum to get replies to your question / pb.
This said, I suggest some reading of the Wiki, especially the "Possible Reviving Techniques For (appeared to be) bricked Wizard" section (XDADeveloperWiki - HTC Wizard). Not having a Wizard myself I won't be of any further help.

It wud certainly be of grrrr8 help for you if you post in the proper wizard forum cuz there are wonderfull people with knowledge and experience to guide you exactly to revive your PDA

daxian x999 rom update

Hi All,
first of all... if this question is being asked at the wrong place.. please let me know ;-)
Well.. i have a question.. I have a daxian x999 and want to upgrade the OS.. The OS on this device isn't fast and can be quite unstable sometimes..
anyone can tell me how i can upgrade this device?? I'm a complete newbie on this one.. so any help would be appreciated..

the problem with the daxian x999 is, that until now no one managed to extract the bootloader!
i tried almost every software i found here... no success!
i was able to extract the rom, but that doesn´t help too much
and another thing that is very sad, is that no one from the "knowing Guys" here is interested in helping us!!!
there was just one senior member trying to help me... (thanx again the_eqionoxe!!!)
i expected some more help from a forum with that much experience...

Sorry i found it in the very next search

As far as I know it should be presented in the form of a imgfs file (can be cooked by any kitchen). (*but I am not 100 % shure, I don't have a daxian to experiment with)
But I am unaware about the XIP format .
If we had a look @ a original update.img then we could say how it was compiled, and hopefully port other rom's to it.

any have yep put 6.1 on this phone?

I have a daxian x999 but its in chinese & if i cant get it exchanged will want to change the windows rom to an english one - cant find the english rom though (& need to learn how to do it too lol)

I used SPB backup to restore my data, and stopped it midway, now my power button does not turn on the screen. So I have to wait for a phone call to come in for the screen to come on.
Anyone know if I use an editor for registery if there is a place to turn this back on.

Have u tried a soft reset?????? or maybe a "master clean up" as it is called on the phone???

also if someone here is going deep into the phone, can some1 figure out how to 'manage' the accelerometer for the current application/settings of it seem pretty dull... i don't know if it helps, but the process which rotates the screen is called acc_ap and you can find it in the start up folder

Yes, I tried the soft reset, memory clear, and hard 3-button reset, no joy.

nobody tried with pdocwrite as MUN_rus has done with HTC wizard G4??
WARNING This device needs OTHER drivers than a HTC ELF(in), so make sure you cook a ROM with the proper drivers!!.
You can probably dump the rom by the reverse command pdocread..
Haven't tried it myself, as I have stated before, I have no daxian 999 to experiment with myself..

Installed fontpatch.cab, now phone is not working

Hi experts,
I have a touch pro2, it was not displaying Chinese fonts so I installed fontpatch.cab. Now the phone hangs as soon as I start it. Soft reset is not working . I am not able to do anything on it. Please help me.

try if you can still connect the phone to your computer using ActiveSync and remove the program you just installed using ActiveSync. if that didn't work, i guess hard-resetting the device is the way to fix it.

The only references I could find to that cab were all for the version that was written for WM 5.0, so I'm guessing that it's incompatible w/6.1 and up.
And yes, if you can't get past the bootup screen to be able to remove the program, you might have no other option than a hard-reset at this point.
