Yes! My advice, leave it well alone, It has a crappy feel and it is virtually impossible to cut it in nice strait lines!

I said in another matte thread I bought this a few days ago and will post what i thought of it. I used it for about a day and here's my review!
short version: don't bother. It doesn't fit right, had to trim it. major rainbow noise on bright screen.
long version:
I tried to fit the screen for around 20 minutes, couldn't get it right, best i could do is this:

}
I am going to have to trim it with scissors.
When the screen is off, it looks REALLY nice. but the rainbow noise is pretty bad, i tried to take a picture of it but it doesn't really show how bad it is.
Now I know for a fact that not all matte screens are like this, because i have a matte screen on my HP touchpad and it is NOWHERE near as bad, you can only see rainbow effect if you look closely.
in case you need to know where i bought it, so that you don't.

personally i will still keep it, because playing games with this surface is still way better than without. And when i play games, i don't notice the rainbow problem. But i keep an eye out for a better matte screen.
haven't others posted on this forum about not buying this type of protector for AMOLED screens because of exactly what you're saying...?

Here it is:

Thanks for the heads-up.
That's a low cost option but like many of the other cycle mounts...
It provides no external environmental protection. I wouldn't want to expose the Note to rain.
It provides no shock protection.
Has the Note been shock tested?
I don't think the Note would survive for many kilometres on the streets around here. You'd probably get away with it on a MTB with good forks but my hybrid has carbon race forks and skinny tyres at 8.5 bar.
Combine these with cobbled streets and tram lines.....
I've used the same type of mount with the original SGS and it works great. My bike has no suspension and I ride 24km round trip on pavement, gravel, and dirt. It doesn't need shock protection because there is no moving parts in the phone. It would not work well for rain though.

No moving parts - the vibration module, the speaker cone, the microphone diaphragm, home button, power button, volume rocker....
Besides, vibration and shock impact on none moving parts as well especially components mounted on PCBs.
Is there a way for me to make my white sgs3 black? I can get a battery cover, but I want the front black as well.
The cosmetic designer for the sgs3 must have had some strange ideas, the actual black version wasn't even black, more of a scratched dark grey, and there is no way that I'm buying a custom front glass, not with the hair-dryer procedure.
If there isn't a way, I'll be fine, but I really want a black one without using decals.:fingers-crossed:
Just get a case that covers it up... It's a lot less work. Amazon has them cheap. Better protection, looks like you want, win-win.

I want to have the glass on either side of the screen unobstructed, and I want the cosmetic appearance of a phone that isn't covered, What I want is some sort of shaded screen protector, one with the bezel area black and the screen completely clear

Yeah when I bought mine the color wasn't specified and of course it was white
sharpie?
What about this?

Or would it be one of those things that would tear after a week?

That would work for the front. As for durability, that depends on the quality of the material they use.
and would it blend in with the screen? I'm going for the effect on the last few nexus phones, not the effect on the s4.
Either i'm going crazy, or Screen off memo changed between the pre-battery-recall firmware and post-battery-recall.
I could *swear* the line thickness was smaller before the update.
Also, what's with the weird minus-shaped cursor when you hover?
When you start writing, it turns into a normal circle shaped cursor, but as soon as you move the pen away and bring it back to the screen, it's a little dash again, until you actually touch the screen and start writing.
I'm fairly certain it's a bug, i'm just not sure if it's just my device or if it's widespread.
I'm on the original Note 7 PH9 frimware everything is as described. Except this "line thickness" I'm not sure what you're referring to?
I can't say much about line thickness, but it does seem very responsive to pressure - maybe try using the harder grey s-pen tip instead of the stock one, which is softer?
The line is there to show you where you're lined up.
Weird, i'd swear i didn't see that line before.
So if it's there to show where you're lined up, why does it turn into a normal cursor once you touch the screen - and stays that way for as long as you keep the pen in proximity to the screen?
Re: line thickness - good point, maybe they changed the pressure/thickness responsiveness slightly, or this pen has a slightly different feel. I'll try the harder tip.
Just to be clear re: cursor, this is what i was talking about:

vs.
Sorry for the potato shots.
Looks the same as mine, US Verizon flameout-proof edition.
Thought I'd photoshop some wood skins to print, cut, and shove under a cheap clear TPU case. Looks almost like glossy lacquered wood until you get really close.

Couldn't really decide between a sci-fi or wood theme, so I combined them... The extra galactic empire logos are to try to force grocery store color printers from cropping and resizing.
look great, how can I get them

these looks great, OP. not too sure why when i print it as 100% it does not fit as nice as yours in the pics. my bottom cuts off just around the back cover, but the camera holes fit perfect. shall see if we can get some sort of png overlay template out.
Sorry, IDK how else to post these pics here at 100% rez/size and every printer will unfortunately scale things differently. I did glossy prints at my local Fred Meyer grocery store on 8x10" photo paper for a couple of bucks. Here's that combo one.
kudos much to you OP still. i did manage to figure out the resize and it's great! i'm just getting it printed off A4 copiers.
i did also a quick work base off yours to do an overlay template, just need to ensure that it is 24.27cm in width. upscale the pixels to your own requirements but the width stays to be the right size.
OP, let me know if you want it taken down. cheers!
