I said in another matte thread I bought this a few days ago and will post what i thought of it. I used it for about a day and here's my review!
short version: don't bother. It doesn't fit right, had to trim it. major rainbow noise on bright screen.
long version:
I tried to fit the screen for around 20 minutes, couldn't get it right, best i could do is this:

}
I am going to have to trim it with scissors.
When the screen is off, it looks REALLY nice. but the rainbow noise is pretty bad, i tried to take a picture of it but it doesn't really show how bad it is.
Now I know for a fact that not all matte screens are like this, because i have a matte screen on my HP touchpad and it is NOWHERE near as bad, you can only see rainbow effect if you look closely.
in case you need to know where i bought it, so that you don't.

personally i will still keep it, because playing games with this surface is still way better than without. And when i play games, i don't notice the rainbow problem. But i keep an eye out for a better matte screen.
haven't others posted on this forum about not buying this type of protector for AMOLED screens because of exactly what you're saying...?

Has anyone here noticed a slight hump on the rear case it location is central on the spine about 2 thirds of the way down. It is a above a recess on the inside of the case which accommodates the plastic retaining lug for the SIM card. Its very minor, I only noticed it when I was rubbing my finger over the case, I just wanted to check with other people to eliminate the possibility its a defect on mine.
Other than this its the best smart-phone I have ever used, well worth the wait as I am a Handtec customer.
Thanks for checking
Have it too, but it is really difficult to spot.
I cannot see it with my eyes, basically only feel and you have to be very careful to notice it even then.
I can't feel or see this if it is there.
only found it because you made me search for it
wish i didnt read this thread. now im going to look for it, find it, and be displeased by it.
Not on mine...
i noticed it the other day as well
it is there but I don`t care.

neither do I, as other people have said it very very minor.
It's a great handset I'm very happy with it and will be more happy when the official screen protectors are available.
if it wasn't there the cover would have to be a couple of mm thicker to accommodate the recess on the inside to clear the plastic lug. I think, on reflection, that this was a good idea on HTCs part.

nothing whatsoever here.
Maybe you have particularly fat SIM cards?
Ok, So a few months ago I bought zagg invisible shield for my MyTouch 4g. I followed the installation instructions and it looked pretty good. The next day the screen protector had developed very noticeable black 'streaks'.

This was obviously quite upsetting as they were quite distracting and I cant get them to rub off. I dont think they are on the outside though. I was able to replace it with the warranty, but shipping was pretty harsh and I had to ship it to an friend in the US and have them mail it to me so I could avoid some of the shipping cost. Anyway, I got it, watched the installation video again, cleaned the screen thoroughly and applied it. I then waited about 16 hours before using the device as per the instructions. THE SAME THING HAPPENED!!! The streaks developed after about 3 hours of use! Does this happen a lot with Zagg protectors? I would not recommend Zagg to anyone at this point. Sure they replace it for free but the product is not good based on what I've seen. I am not going to do the warranty again unless I know what I'm doing wrong because it is going to cost me more in shipping. Perhaps someone can recommend a product that doesn't do this or tell me what I'm doing wrong?
Thanks
zaggs are IMO overrated and a pain to install. I buy the inexpensive ones off ebay (5 for $1.70) and they haven't let me down

Zaggs are more difficult to apply correctly than mustard to a hot dog.

I'm not sure I follow. Isn't mustard quite easy to apply to a hotdog?
I ordered one from bestskinsever. Lets see how that goes...
Whilst wandering around today, not really in search for accessories for my phone, but after cutting a iPad screen protector and it looking rather ugly, I happened to come across this pack in a Vodafone retail store.
It was $19.95, and they only recieved it today. It includes 2 screen protectors, 1 clear hard care, and a grey silicon case.

The clear case is good, doesn't add much to the overall phone, whilst leaving all the keys available, the silicon case is a good fit, but makes the power button rather stiff when you are trying to press it. The screen protectors I'm going to apply tomorrow, when I'm not so drained.
Definitely worth the $19.95, considering its the only pack I've been able to find!
Hi can I know where suburb did you purchase this? Do you think this is available in victoria too?
Temptation got the better of me, and I've just applied the screen protector, screwed up the first one without thinking correctly ... :-/ .. but I've applied the other one, just waiting to see how it goes.
It was purchased in Western Australia, won't say which store because I know some of the staff are on this forum, and I'm the first person to buy one from them, don't want them possibly getting swarmed by nexus adopters ;-).
It should be available in Victoria, but you might have to ask for it as they might hold the stock back for their launch, but who knows.
Got it! How is the screen protector that comes with it? is it clear/ultra clear? do you notice any haze or rainbow like pixels on it when installed?
Screen protector is excellent, only thing I think is that it might be about a millimeter small, but nothing too bad.

Hi Guys,
I've been searching everywhere trying to find an all white rubber case that is simple but durable. I want the case to protect the volume rocker and power buttons as well. I'm really looking for something found in this video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AB-4hGF-q0Q&list=UUD6CwTxfGfK13-MxsEfUrng&index=10&feature=plcp
I've ordered a couple cheap imitations on amazon, but all of them have been clear and take apart my screen protector I have on the front.
Anyone have some suggestions for cases matching what I'm looking for? Thanks in advance!
This may be what you're looking for, it covers buttons. http://www.zbsell.com/samsung/galaxys3/tpu/tpu-case-for-galaxy-s-iii-white.html
If covering buttons is something you are willing to compromise on, I've heard good things about the mercury cases. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B008DJIJL2/ref=redir_mdp_mobile
Hope this helped.

I'll try the first tpu case. I hope that it doesn't take off my screen protector like the last couple have.
Have fun with the inevitable yellow/tan spots that will take over your case. Impossible to clean. I've tried everything.
White TPU is my favorite, but looks like **** after a week or two. You've been warned.

I found this case at Amazon for less than $10. It's white rubber/TPU on the sides, and the back is clear (slightly frosted) polycarbonate.

Is there a way for me to make my white sgs3 black? I can get a battery cover, but I want the front black as well.
The cosmetic designer for the sgs3 must have had some strange ideas, the actual black version wasn't even black, more of a scratched dark grey, and there is no way that I'm buying a custom front glass, not with the hair-dryer procedure.
If there isn't a way, I'll be fine, but I really want a black one without using decals.:fingers-crossed:
Just get a case that covers it up... It's a lot less work. Amazon has them cheap. Better protection, looks like you want, win-win.

I want to have the glass on either side of the screen unobstructed, and I want the cosmetic appearance of a phone that isn't covered, What I want is some sort of shaded screen protector, one with the bezel area black and the screen completely clear

Yeah when I bought mine the color wasn't specified and of course it was white
sharpie?
What about this?

Or would it be one of those things that would tear after a week?

That would work for the front. As for durability, that depends on the quality of the material they use.
and would it blend in with the screen? I'm going for the effect on the last few nexus phones, not the effect on the s4.
